Large room and friendly staff. When checking out it was raining and the concierge said I could get a complimentary ride to the train station 5 minutes away. Ordinarily, I would walk. On the way the driver twisted my arm for money to take me all the way to the airport. When that didn't work, he demanded payment to drop me at the train station.

Secure, convenient and an upmarket facility. Cleaning needs to be supervised as there is to some extent lack of detail. The WiFi was very much up and down for two days.

A very good stay
I had a great stay in this hotel. It was located directly across from the Convention centre so very convenient. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The airline I flew with lost my luggage and the hotel staff worked tirelessly to locate it. It finally arrived. I don't think it would have been possible without their help.

TV was old and had poor reception with few channels. Was clean but needs an upgrade.

Big name with no real substance
For the price we paid we really expected a proper breakfast. Will rather stay in future at Da Vinci. It was also extremely difficult to get to the car as you have to change so many lifts, walk to other lifts and the security are constantly harassing you for tips in stead of making sure you get proper parking.

Our valet parking was suspended due to COVID regulations, however valet parking has been reactivated as off 03.02.22, we do apologise for any inconvenience you might have experienced during this time. Your feedback regarding the harassment for tips have been given to our Security manager for his urgent attention and will be dealt with. Staff at the front desk were not helpful in scheduling our Covid tests that we needed for our return to the US. We repeatedly asked when someone would be coming to the hotel to administer our tests and couldn't get an answer. On the day before our departure, we came down for breakfast at 9:30 am and again asked when we would be getting our tests and were told that someone would be arriving at 10 am. So, we had to rush through breakfast in order to be able to get our tests done. In addition, the phone in our room did not work and the televisions in our room only received one tv station (discovery channel).

Extraordinary! From check in to checkout, every interaction with their fantastic employees, everything about The Michelangelo Towers was amazing and every minute detail the accommodation first class. The elegant setting incredible breakfast’s and world class service. The setting, the room.... all first class. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing every single employee was Professional yet so personable and clearly with a goal of providing first class service. I will most definitely be staying here on my next trip to Johannesburg

Great place to stay at. If you want to use the spa book early because they didn’t have anything open for us and couldn’t accommodate someone coming to our room for a massage in the evening. Otherwise everything was nice.
