I had a quick check in and was given a great room which was quiet. The staff were great and really made an effort to look after us over Christmas

The County Hotel is comfortable, with excellent breakfasts. Although our room was directly over the bar area it was quiet by bedtime & just in case they are needed... the hotel provides free earplugs in the room.

All the staff we dealt with were personable, pleasant and efficient. Everything was done with a smile. Room was comfortable and well provided. Food was good and most reasonably priced. Pity we could not stay longer. We really enjoyed our break.

Booked this hotel based on trip advisor reviews, they weren’t wrong, it’s excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the room was great and breakfast was delicious.

We stayed two nights at the County Hotel in Hexham while we explored along Hadrian's wall. The building was very charming both outside and inside, the staff were all so helpful and delightful, and the food in the pub was excellent. It was also very centrally located within easy walking distance of both the train station and bus station. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hexham.

A very good stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The County Hotel in Hexham. Staff very friendly. Room and bathroom tastefully decorated and provided everything we needed. Wifi free. We ate in the hotel for breakfast (included) and dinner which was good value......no complaints at all. Hotel situated in centre of town and parking was nearby.

We enjoyed our stay at The County The rooms were excellent The Breakfasts were delicious The parking is free if you can find a white space in a nearby car park (200 metres away) But it’s a town centre property so it is okay.

Extremely happy
Extremely happy with our spacious and stylish room. Hotel is run efficiently with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. We were made to feel welcome and can’t wait to return. The breakfast is delicious and more than ample!

Good spot to stop overnight. Lovely staff all around. Included breakfast was quite good. The pub seems to be an important part of the village, which made it seem special.

The County Hotel has been our best experience in a month long journey through this country. The room was spacious and lovely and we were always discovering little refinements. The staff were universally welcoming. Our window looked out on a busy street but there was surprisingly little street noise, good thick walls. When we woke up the first morning after a glorious sleep, my husband turned to me and asked, "can we move in here?"

We were visiting Hexham from Canada to see friends. A friend from Australia had recommended the County Hotel. Its location is great and is close to the train station. It snowed while we were there this march. The room was nice and warm. The bathroom was huge with two sinks and a nice shower. The bed was huge. The included breakfast was great and you could order a hot breakfast. We had a really nice dinner with friends in the County Restaurant. Good selection and the food was excellent. We ate there a few times. The Hexham Abbey is close to walk to and is amazing. Next time we are in Hexham the Canadians will be back👍👍
