Not what I was expecting for the price. Staff stayed on personal mobile call when I waited at check in desk. I was handed a well used small yellow paper envelope with the key card. The room was dirty with sanitary product wrappers on the floor. The room was filled with scuff marks, cracks on walls. The shower head was dribbling n spurting in all directions which suggested it needed replacing or a good clean. No bathroom or toilet bin only one open bin in main area. Sheets were stained in various places. Shower curtains were used to seperate the bathroom from sleeping area. Not ideal when you’ve booked a two bed room n not sharing with a partner/spouse. Check out no one at reception and didn’t answer my 3 phone calls. Just overall a very unpleasant and underwhelming stay.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are very dated and in desperate need of an upgrade, size of the room was good though.

Outdated. Bed squeeked with movement and the sheets had a yellow tinge. Insufficient parking. Would not stay there again.

Very run down and that was disappointing. The room was clean but stained and looked unclean with buildup of dirt in corners and grout etc. The bar closed very early so we couldn’t even get a bucket of ice for the room and there were no breakfast facilities at all. Would choose a 5 star hotel in the city on the terrace next time just for the amenities

Super easy to check-in. I always saw someone at the reception. Incredibly friendly staff and the hotel is just few minutes away (by walking) from shops and public transport.

Ok Stay
Not a bad stay, but nothing really stands out. On the edge of residential area, so not very close to transportation or interesting attractions. Train (which was amazing!) was a half mile walk. It was quiet.

They were always helpful and left me alone if I wanted to be left alone. This is my second stay there (last in November 2018) and if I ever go back, I would stay there again. Nice place and great price.

Charming character hotel, great value for money. The room clearly stated no smoking but had an ambient stale cigarette smoke smell as soon as I walked in - however it just added to the character of the place. Friendly staff, clean rooms / linen, I'd stay here again.

Location was great. This "4 star" hotel is outdated, needs to be renovated, and could be cleaned better. I think the "4 star" rating was in the 1980s but for today's date would be a 2.5. Many times, we had to wait for someone at reception to arrive. It says to call a certain phone number if reception is not at the desk but for international guests this is difficult to do since it would be like calling a long distance phone number. Also, in my personal opinion, I do not think Britiney Spears/ Beyonce, club music should be played in the reception area of a "4 star" establishment.

Perfect Location, great spa bath.
This hotel is a gem, close enough to all Northbridge has to offer, but far enough away to be peaceful & quiet, being close to Hyde Park. It's been beautifully restored keeping it's late 1800's style on the outside. The rooms are so well separated that if there were other guests staying there, we couldnt hear them. Our room was a far away from the Lift as possible, so we didn't hear a thing. The soundproofing of the rooms is excellent. The toilet was difficult to flush & if staying longer I'd have brought it to Management's attention. We managed. There was a knack to it. It was a romantic stay-cation for a special occasion & we only booked it because it was walking distance from the restaurant we wanted to go to, only to find out sadly that the restaurant had closed very suddenly, going out of business only days earlier. But there was no end of other choices within walkng distance. The king-sized bed was so comfortable we slept like babies especially after relaxing in the huge spa. Great value for money. It will be my go-to whenever I want to stay near the city again. It's a short walk or Uber ride to the busy parts of Northbridge, or the endless choice of bars & restaurants on Beaufort St in Mt Lawley & Inglewood. Also only about a $15 Uber ride from Crown Casino. We loved it & will be back whenever my partner is over from Sydney for work or family reasons. Perhaps for 2 nights next time. We loved the location. Couldn't have been a better location.

Fantastic location, away form the heart of the nightlife's so you can still get a good night sleep. Very friendly & helpful staff, and the bar is absolutely awesome, great staff and great tap beers. You dont need to leave the block of the hotel, over 4 x 5 Star restaurants and cafes within 2 min walk from the hotel.

Most disappointed, I made a booking online and within an hour realised the dates where wrong so I tried to change them to the correct dates but I was told I could not change dates or get a refund, no exceptions

Walls had stains and something else on them. Cupboard was broken and a piece of it was just leaning against the wall. The pillows were not nice all yellow/really old. The shower is made for really small people, my partner and I (stupidly) both knocked out heads on the shower head. So many chips and cracks throught the entire room. We had a view of aircons and a slab of concrete. The hall smells like cigarettes. The light fitting was covered in bugs. Clock radio doest work. Could hear people in the room flushing their toilet. There is a gap under the door so could hear other peoples doors opening and slamming shut. Banging outside like wind blowing metal poles or sheets. Besides all that the bed is comfy and the bathroom is clean. After arriving we had to wait outside untill a staff member showed up to open the door, the staff did seem nice from the small encounters we had.

Very tired basic hotel, smells musty, room was a good size and clean but the smell of disinfectant/cleaning products was overwhelming. No bar or restaurant facility was open. Reasonably priced so l guess you get what you pay for.
