Grand old dame of a bygone era. Beautiful, large room (double queen, two gorgeous iron bedsteads), high ceilings, comfortable mattresses. Showing her age a bit in the flooring and the tile.
The room was not appointed as well as it should have been for the rather steep price, no wardrobe or dresser, just an old cabinet with a single shelf that was not at all convenient. No coffee maker, which could have been a deal-breaker had I known in advance, no kleenex (!?!) A smart tv that was very stupid, you had to hold the remote 3 inches away from the receiver which rendered the "remote" part rather useless. Brunch was tasty but overpriced. Riverfront room was a little noisy at night due to proximity to the restaurant, but the room was equipped with ear plugs (which we really didn't need).
Very close proximity to the Tobin Center, which was our real destination. For that reason we will likely return here in the future.
