"Perfect location right in the centre. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Family room is ideal for family of 4 but there is a big difference between the adjoining rooms. Master bedroom is stunning with original stone work and high vaulted ceiling. Wooden shutters so it is pitch black in the morning, to help you get a good nights sleep. Weirdly, bedroom window looks into balcony of the next block! Staff says always been like this which I found odd. Currently under renovations so being weekend we weren’t affected but you might want to check if don’t fancy workmen and noisy building works outside your window or in future, the Neighbour! Second room is clean and basic. Huge window overlooking town to the sea with linen beige curtain, no black out, so forget a lie in. Shower is powerful, just what you need to wash off all the sand but it leaks and there is lingering drain smell. The smell was all down the corridor, disguised with air freshener on arrival but became apparent during the day and worse overnight/in morning. Think there is a drain issue in general, all bathrooms, likely as an old building with old plumbing. No air conditioning as been broken a while but staff provided a small fan unit. Also no breakfast service, sign up saying not available for the week unless you had booked with the African film festival on that week, not told this in advance but not an issue as plenty of breakfast places around"
