The renovations and breakfast were both very good. The only negative was the wood and things stacked at the front entrance being used fornthe renovations

The customer service was good. The condition of the hotel was ok but not as nice as when we had stayed there before. The pool is the main reason we stay here and it was not up to par. Heater not working. Poolside had random things left lying around.

Very Basic - Bed, Hot Shower, Breakfast
This was quite a bit of a disappointment for me. Overall a pretty run down hotel in need of a good renovation and more than likely overpriced. Feels like a budget hotel that you'd pay $80 or less for. Just about everything was worn out and needed overhauling. The breakfast was actually the one shining spot. It was well appointed, clean and overall pretty good. Maybe because I had by then lowered my expectations to below soup kitchen levels, I have to give credit where due. Overall, I'd look somewhere else.

I liked this hotel's location. It was within driving distance of everything I needed. The room was large and had great amenities. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The grout on the bathroom floor looked to have something brown spilled on it. Poop, blood, chocolate, I don't know. I wiped it up with a wet wash clothe, but I didn’t have anything to sanitize with. I don't know if the hotel can control the fact that there were a group of men selling drugs in the parkinglot, approaching people as they entered and exited the 4 days we stayed at the hotel. The last night we stayed there some people decided to throw a loud party in their room at 1:30am. The hotel staff immediately confronted them to turn off the music and to be quiet. 20 minutes later the music was still off but they were all talking loudly and laughing. I'm sure they were in town for the music festival, but if you want to be loud at night then you should have paid to camp at the festival. I got a hotel because I like to sleep at night. Haha But not much the hotel can do about rude people other than ask them to respect other guests. I appreciate the hotel staff tried to handle the situation.

Clean, nice room. Breakfast was a nice variety of hot and cold items. Hot items included Make your own waffles with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Alternatives were cereal, oatmeal packets, yogourt, muffins, bagels, bananas.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, tho outdated for the price. Seems maybe some updating is happening as there were boxes for fixtures lining the hall floors. But overall clean. Unfortunately there was a large group of people smoking standing around the entrance which we had to get thru to get in the building, and someone in our group is highly sensitive to cigarette smoke - wish there was a designated smoking area away from the front door.

The building on the outside is good looking. Even the lobby areas. The staff are pleasant and courteous. However, the design of the room was very weird as you are greeted with your wash sink and vanity at the door, with your coffee station on the same counter. The paint on the walls in the bathroom were stripping and the fixtures were also rusty. The room also smelt stuffy and the sitting chair had a big water mark on the seat. When we got to our room, the bathroom was not clean, with the toilet being the worst. I will leave you to your imagination. They quickly gave us another room but when I asked if I could pay for an upgrade on my room type. It could not be done as once you book through Expedia you are stuck with that room. So be aware of that also.

Positives: Decent place to stay for the price. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Building looked really nice from the outside. Breakfast was ok. Pool was decent. Location is ideal if you want to be less than 5-10 mins from Rome to have places to shop/eat. Negatives: Elevator floor was disgusting, walking across the carpet in a day would turn the bottom of your feet black, Comforter on bed had stains on the inside of it. The day we checked in, the 2nd floor hallway had this horrid smell, after that day though, it went away.

Not very well maintained The tub wouldn’t drain, the light above the sink didn’t work, the shower curtain was ripped, there was a stain on the mattress. In addition the side entrance door to the first floor did not close properly which posed a security risk. All the above was reported to the front desk upon check out. They assured me the owners were notified and would call me but they never did.
