Customer service was especially helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well organized. My family loved this placed and will definitely stay again this summer. Unlike other places we looked at you don't have to cross the road to get to the beach - this hotel is literally on the beach. Thanks to the staff and we hope to see you soon!

When we arrived it appeared decent from the outside until trying to enter the building. The entry door from the parking lot was ajar and never shut properly with no security upon entering the building. In the room the bed was comfortable with a fridge and microwave so that was good. The beach was nice. The bathroom was just basic and what really bothered me was they couldn't even give a cup to use after brushing your teeth. The door in the bathroom was a sliding door with a recessed handle that was sharp when trying to open and close the door. The entry door to the room was rusty and and had to be slammed in order to shut it. We won't return.

Amazing place to stay with family. We had three rooms and all rooms are nice and clean. Just right by the beach so our kids had so much fun watching the sunrise and playing. Thank you to the nice staff as well.

The breakfast was really good. The bed was comfortable. The room was suppose to be ocean view but I couldn't see the ocean for all the buildings and it was closer to the road than the beach. The room was clean but a very strong smell of bleach and I had to leave the door open for awhile. Finding the ice machine and getting to the beach was a obstacle course up and down stairs to buildings that didn't connect. Our door didn't close and latch very well so we had to slam it to shut it and deadbolt it when we were inside to make sure it didn't pop open. It was a stay for our anniversary, so it was somewhat of a disappointment that we couldn't see the ocean from our room.

I looked into your reservation to verify you were assigned to the correct room type. You reserved a classic king room in our main building. These are our most economical rooms and have no view of the ocean.

I understand the Covid guidelines changed things years ago but to never get room cleaning service after 4 nights unless you request it. Also we had to bring out our own trash. We noticed a homeless man seems to live in the gazebo at night and drinking beer in the gazebo at 9 am, it makes you feel like things are unsafe because they do not lock the buildings by key, anyone can walk right in. The rooms were nice, but the rest is pretty run down. Why put a tip envelope in a room when no one ever comes.

Melissa, thanks for your review. Our policy is to request service as you want it. This can be every day or none at all. It is your choice. In the future, please call the front desk if you see something or someone that makes you uncomfortable. We do ask you to put dirty linens and trash outside your door and we will come by several times a day to pick it up. We wish you happy travels in the future.

Rooms have been recently renovated. Bed was comfortable. Minimal furnishings. I expected a full length mirror in the room but there was none. There was just a small mirror over the bathroom sink. Also door to room stuck and we had to push to open with a lot of effort. Room was in poor location, next to employee entrance.

I loved staying here this past week. The bed was extremely comfortable, the property was quiet, and the room was a nice place to relax after long days of exploring the area. It’s literally within steps to the beach and is a great central OBX location. The only negative experience I had was with the shower—there were a few mornings that the hot water didn’t last long enough to take a Hollywood shower and the water pressure could be better. Other than that, it was a great experience. I would definitely stay here again as it’s a great value due to location, the peace and quiet, and comfy bed.

Staff was exceptionally nice! Easy beach access, the whole building has been recently updated which helps ita lot. The continental breakfast was the only downfall. It’s as basic as one can be really. Waffles and cereals is about as good as it gets really. The staff makes up for what it lacks everywhere else.

My fiance and I stayed her for a weekend getaway trip and we had an amazing time. The room was clean and we were just a few steps away from the beach. We were able to get to most places at OBX in about 10-20 mins depending on what we were doing. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was decent. We will definitely stay here again.

The location is excellent as it is convenient to walk to restaurants and right on the beach. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. There was a bus of teenaged students there, so unfortunate4ly we got very little sleep. Doors slamming constantly all night and people yelling and laughing loudly in the hallway had our nerves on end. It would startle us so much that we would yell out in fear! We had checked in at 5:15 only to receive a phone call at 10:15 p.m. from the staff person that checked me in to ask when we would be arriving. ?? Breakfast consisted of frozen sandwiches that you had to microwave, boiled eggs, cereal and pastries. The staff did bring some apples over and place them in a bowl with her bare hands. It was so crowded! No place to sit and very noisy. We took our coffee, boiled egg and muffin back to thee room and ate on the bed. I wouldn't stay here again because of the noise level.

If you are disturbed by noise, please make the front desk aware. We will do our best to quiet things down. Our complimentary continental breakfast has a variety of choices including: Coffee, tea, orange and apple juice, hard boiled eggs, frozen breakfast sandwiches (chicken, sausage and egg, egg and cheese), make your own waffles, muffins, bagels and cream cheese, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, apples, oranges and bananas.Unfortunately, we are not set up to make breakfast to order.

The property was clean and had a great location. The downfalls were the fact that they put us in a room that was “conjoined,” but there was an entirely different family next door. We/they could see directly under the doors, which didn’t feel very secure or safe. Additionally, there is zero sound-proofing.

This is our second stay in an oceanfront room. Our first stay was great. Unfortunately our room during this stay faced a sand dune and we had limited ocean views despite paying for an oceanfront room. I wish i had called and booked directly with the hotel to clarify what room we were getting.

I enjoyed the location of this property. Right on the beach was nice. Breakfast was good but not awesome with waffles, oatmeal, fruit, eggs and frozen breakfast sandwiches. Soft comfy beds. Couldn’t hear your neighbors.

Lovely Oceanfront hotel. Bed was a bit high and hard to get in and out of. Quiet, great views, convenient. Breakfast was good, but staff could have replenish items more often as certain items would go faster than others and could have been replaced. Dining area small for the amount of people staying. Overall very pleasant stay and would stay there again.
