Just OK
We've done a lot of trips to Palm Springs and have been to the usual suspects - Ace, Holiday House, Sparrows, etc. Dive is a fine boutique hotel, but that's exactly how i would rate it - it's fine. Staff was super nice, but there were clearly issues with training them (for instance, undercooked hard boiled eggs, thick and soupy coffee, etc). Things you should have no issue with if you're paying $500+ a night for a basic room. Service was slow at the pool which is a wasted opportunity for them to make money. We even were charged for an item from the mini bar (beer) that neither of us could even drink if wanted to (I am gluten intolerant and my wife is pregnant). The shower was not adjustable and was higher pressure, which actually kinda hurt our skin if it hit a sensitive spot. No big deal breakers - but little things like that are weird in a pricey spot. Positives - super nice staff. Pool was great temp and the pool chairs and umbrellas were all great. Daybeds were awesome to lounge in. Staff was very nice (just slow). Room was very clean. I think this room/experience should have been $300-350 night. $500+ felt a little aggressive for this.

The Dive is a special gem in Palm Springs. The aesthetic, comfortability, and service was 10/10. A great romantic getaway. Cesar, our host, enhanced our experience that much more. He went above and beyond for us in every possible way.

We stayed at Dive Palm Springs for our babymoon. The whole trip was so perfect. From our romantic room, to the temperature of the pool, and the delicious breakfast and coffee. The entire staff was so wonderful, and Steven recommended some fantastic places for us to eat and dine, which we managed to hit almost all of them. I can’t wait to visit Dive again and enjoy another relaxing and peaceful trip

We had the pleasure of staying the the Dive in Palm Springs and it was definitely the best experience. Upon the day of check in employee Steven reached out to me asking if I needed any personal touches to the room and quickly coordinated chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of bubbles to help celebrate our anniversary. He was very welcoming and gave us a tour of this gorgeous boutique hotel. He made us feel like we were the most important guests. The hotel decor is to die for and the bartender made the best spicy margaritas. We will definitely be back again!

Great mini getaway!
Wonderful stay! Clean, comfortable room with rain shower head. Beautifully decorated with comfy seating area that could also be used as a twin bed. Air conditioning and heating worked very well. Only complaint was the music after 9pm. Would definitely stay here again!

A slice of paradise!
This place is a slice of paradise! My husband and I arrived after dark and were given a tour of the grounds before we reached our room. We were charmed by the beauty and magic at every turn. They’ve thought of everything! We left for dinner and returned for a late-night swim and warmed up by the fire. The following day we relaxed by the pool, enjoyed a delicious breakfast and lunch, tasty cocktails and a special mocktail for me. What a treat. I haven’t felt this relaxed in two years! Staff is genuine, friendly and attentive. The rooms are tastefully decorated with a fun color scheme and French inspired mid century modern beach vibe. The bed was firm but comfortable. Shower is large and has good water pressure. No tv in the room. Thank you for that! This place is truly special. We will be back!

We stayed at the Paris suite and it was nice. We also have a cute little outdoor seating area. I think the only thing I would say is that there should have been a tv in the room.

Hello, Thank you for your review. We are happy to see you loved your stay with us. The owners took a very deep thought into whether to add the TV's to the rooms or go with out. They blended towards no TVs in the rooms so guests could really explore the property and not get stuck in the rooms. We do understand now and then a guest would prefer a Tv in their room. This is a wonderful small hotel. A relaxing oasis just a few minutes from center of Palm Springs. Will definitely stay again. If you have the chance to visit, highly recommended. 5 Stars.

I wish I had booked more days at Dive Palm Springs Boutique Hotel ,the hotel was very accommodating, very clean, and a super friendly staff. I had a wonderful birthday and Abdi, Ashley and the rest of the staff were very inviting and some of the nicest people ever. I'm so happy I chose this hotel it's small but very quiet and the room had one of the most luxurious beds I have ever slept on; like sleeping on a Cloud. It's also very close to other cool places to visit in P.S -- my favorite things were the design, the pool area and the Cabanas. I can't wait to visit again - thank you 🌴🌵 love Kaz

60s french riviera in PS
there are few places that i've been that i have strongly considered extending my stay; dive palm springs makes that very short list. from the chill music, to the amazing food and beverage offered, and above all the personal attention given by the staff, it was well worth the money. it is on the quieter side of palm springs, but still within walking distance if you want to leave the property to explore, and well within an acceptable driving distance from the airport-and bonus, you won't hear any noise from the airport. i'm already trying to convince my husband we will be in desperate need of another trip soon, and after staying at another hotel in the area, Dive will be my only choice from here on out!

I had a very comfortable 5 night stay here in the CA ADA room. It was quiet, clean, easy parking, good location, pleasant environment, really no complaints. It's priced well too. Abdie was a gracious and accommodating host. I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed here 2 years ago when it was Colts Lodge and it was lovely then... since the renovation and transformation to Dive, it’s incredible! Dale and the team have done an amazing job! The decor in the rooms is stunning and the pool area is gorgeous with the new chill out areas and planned bar. The inclusive breakfast is great too and the staff are lovely. Because it’s small, it’s very quiet so sometimes we had the pool to ourselves, other times there were some lovely other guests there who we got chatting to as it’s a very sociable place. We would love to go back every year if we could!

Arrived at 5pm. No signage (other than an unlit carved boulder). No marked entry. No marked parking. No lit entry, with a keypad and no code (an email had gone to my junk mail). No one answered the door or phone. No one answered the emergency phone # and neither had a voice mail greeting. Room door open with key on the bed. Room was tiny, outdated, and an unworkable bathroom layout with no door. Pool bar that never opened. Beautiful grounds and pool but the unwelcoming check in soured my experience.

Dear Todd, I am so sorry about your check in experience. Dale and I only took possession of the hotel 8 weeks ago, and we know there is a lot thats needs improvement. We will be closing for June & July, for renovations and will be reworking the existing checkin system of the hotel. More importantly, we will be adding a bathroom door to room 8! We hope you will revisit when these changes have been made and we reopen in August under the new name DIVE PALM SPRING. Best, Abdi

Hello Dear Guest, As you might of heard, Dale and I just took over the hotel 2 months ago. We will be closing for June and July to do major renovations in the rooms. Adding a door to the bathroom in room 8, is on the top of our list. I was extremely surprised myself when we noticed that. We will reopen in August, please visit us again. Kind Regards, Abdi

COLT'S LODGE IS THE TOPS!
My wife and I have stayed at many places in Palm Springs over the last 30 years and this is absolutely the best place we have ever stayed at. The hosts and the facility were excellent in every way. The room and the entire facility were clean, quiet and cozy. What more could you ask for? This is a wonderful place for a romantic getaway. We score Colt's Lodge a solid "ten" and we will definitely come back here for our next trip to Palm Springs.

Recent rehab, clean, personable staff, good choice
Very nice small hotel. Comfortable room, nicely furnished, pleasant grounds, warm pool and hot tub. Most days the staff set out fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and pastries for breakfast. On the mid-week day we were alone in the hotel, we had the run of the kitchen and put together our own breakfast. No problem. Discounted tickets for the tram line and personal advice for nearby restaurants and markets. When one of the owners noticed I like dark roasted coffee, he made sure there was extra available for the Keureg coffeemaker.

Colt's Lodge is amazing! Such a cute property with thoughtful touches everywhere you look. We were so impressed with the room and all of the amenities from the sleep number bed to the smart TV so we could watch Netflix! The pool is only a few steps away from your room and a delicious continental breakfast is served each morning! I can't recommend this place enough!

Little paradise !
I stayed at Colt´s Lodge with my mom for 2 nights and we loved it! John & Frank are excellent hosts and both of them and their staff are eager to make your stay as perfect as possible. The rooms are renovated very lovingly, the mattresses are individually adjustable and the A/C makes absolutely no noise. Best experience with that on our whole trip! The outside area is beautiful, both the pool and the hot tub are very well maintained and clean. There's a BBQ in the back and nice little corners to hang out. I would definitely recommend Colt's Lodge and we'll be back!

Thanks for a great review... Yes, with three gardens we have a lot of nice places to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The succulent garden with water feature and dining area, the relaxing garden with pool and spa, and the activities garden with Bocce court, BBQ area and Fire Pit.

Very clean, quiet, cozy and relaxing place to stay. Staff was very friendly and we are already planning to go back very soon.

A curmudgeonly review
The Lodge does provide good value for the money. It is pleasant, well located, and secure. Some of the reviews, however, are inflated. The Lodge is not comparable to a good hotel in quality. Most seriously, the air conditioning unit was not up to its task, so the room was consistently in the 80's though the temperature had been set at 74. Also the quality of maintenance was no more than adequate. The Lodge staff is friendly but perhaps too friendly, to the extent that I felt that my privacy was compromised.

WEEKEND GETAWAY
I really had a very good weekend , rooms are clean and the staff is very accommodating, New owners and is now renovating the rooms and landscape , hope to stay there again when all the work is done in august

Charming place, well located and very homey
We chose this place by chance by looking at reviews. The welcome we received was extremely warm, and we certainly felt we had made a good choice. We initially were given one of the rooms with a kitchenette which would have been really good. Sadly a plumbing issue from the upcoming refurbishment forced a room change, but that was handled with care and concern by John and Betty and did not impact our stay. The rooms were very clean, and although in need of updating, the most important features (the bed and the aircon) had already been updated The breakfast was very homey, a help-yourself job in the kitchen watched over by the delightful Betty. This gave a real home from home feeling. The outdoor pool was very clean, and very welcome in the desert heat with lovely pool towels to wrap yourself in. We know that John is planning significant refurbishment over the summer. We are looking forward to returning to see them, and do very much hope that the atmosphere remains as friendly (and that the rates don't increase too much!)..
