The room was clean but there was no soap by the kitchen sink, and no bottled water. Seemed like whoever cleaned the room was in a rush to get it done (we checked in at 10pm, so the rush was not because of us).
But the biggest issue is that the hotel is right by a nightclub and they share a parking lot. I was not aware of this when I booked, I only found out when Hyatt sent me a text with parking info. I wasn’t too happy about it, traveling with a child in a rental car. I was worried that the car will get scratched or something.
When we checked in we found ear plugs on the nightstand. I didn’t really think much of it, I just noted that it was odd. Then at 1:30 I got woken up by a woman screaming in the parking lot, clearly intoxicated. This went on for a while, until she eventually drove away with her friends.
We only stayed one night so I didn’t say anything, but if I am ever in Scottsdale again I will not stay at this hotel again. Too bad, because the property itself is nice, clean and the breakfast is great! I am sure they are not too happy about the nightclub either. For some guests it may even be a plus, being so close to the hotel. But those years are behind me.
