Dear Monther,
We have been waiting for your review. Actually, we are surprised to have received it so late!
As I already told you in person, I am sorry for the inconvenience, but this is a problem we have been experiencing for years and that, fortunately, we have almost completely solved.
I get that you have travelled around the world, but we have too (even if not as much as you) and, as far as we are concerned, reality is quite different from what you describe. We have been both to Africa, where we kept finding all kind of bugs in our room and in our bathroom, and to Polynesia, where geckos did their “business” on our bed while we were sleeping. In both cases, the staff of the place where we were staying told us that “it was all part of the natural ecosystem” and even continents like America and Asia are experiencing issues like this.
That being said, I do not want to say that “it is normal and natural” to find stink bugs in a hotel room. We always try to do our best to keep the rooms clean through daily specific treatments. As a matter of fact, as you can see by reading the other online reviews, cleaning is one of our main strenghts. I am shocked by the fact that those two dead stink bugs were already in your room, given the daily morning cleaning, and I cannot understand how you did not find them at the time of the check-in, but only when you got back to the room. If you had pointed out the problem earlier, we could have figured that out right away.
Regarding the broken mosquito net, that is a problem that had been pointed out the day before by other hotel guests. Yet, the one who takes care of the maintenance could not replace it immediately (you have no idea how many nets we change every year because of people’s lack of attention and misuse). However, even if the net had been intact, we cannot assure you would not have found stink bugs anyway, because, unfortunately, those bugs sneak through every opening and settle on everyone’s clothes…(not to mention the fact that I do not think you opened the window, given the cold, if not to take some pictures).
That being said, I apologise again for the inconvenience and for driving you crazy. That was not my intention, Nevertheless, I cannot do anything if you did not accept the explanations I gave you.
Kind regards,
Gianni Marsaglia
