The staff at the hotel are all great and helpful. The food/drinks at the restaurant are very overpriced as the hotel know there is no where else within walking distance. The AC in the room was also very weak so the room was pretty warm, even at night.

Bel hôtel avec un tres bon accueil. Piscine très agréable. Un peu isolé dans la campagne, la voiture est indispensable. Le restaurant est bon mais un peu chee.

Hotel sem extrutura, atendimento péssimo
Esta foi a terceira vez que me hospedei no Villa la Malva, as 2 primeiras vezes foram ótimas , a 10 anos atrás, mas esta ultima foi pessima. Passamos muito calor , porque eles não estavam ligando a central de refrigeração, porque segundo eles o verão ainda não tinha chegado, mas era final de maio e fazia mais de 30 °c. Era um absurdo a quantidade de pernilongos que tinha no quarto, fui pedir um repelente eletrico , e eles me mandaram ir na farmacia comprar. Eles cresceram sem extrutura, o atendimento e limpeza que eram ótimos , agora estão péssimos. Ficamos 8 dias hospedadas lá, passando um calor terrivel e sendo devoradas por pernilongos, e quando reclamei , eles foram bem grossos. Não recomendo hospedar neste hotel, eles pioraram muito.

NO CAR do not book this hotel. We arrived on the train from Florence and were stranded at the train station . It is all up hill 3 miles was too far to walk . The hotel and staff are lovely, this is truly a hotel for locals. It was very stressful trying to figure out transportation. I was in tears the owner told me if we wanted transportation to stay at a 4 or 5 star hotel . It is a beautiful property, they are truly doing themselves are disservice not offering transportation.

Wonderful view but…
Wonderful view, great food when we were able to eat there because dinner time is not consistent, the room is cute but needs updating and bathroom hot water pressure is not as good. People was very nice but hard to be found sometimes. Hotel grounds very unsafe and slippery.

Tolles Hotel, wunderbare Aussicht&sehr schönerPool
Wir hatten u.a. ein tolles Zimmer mit Balkon, der einen wunderbaren Ausblick bot. Die Zimmer waren sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Chefin sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Bei der Hitze im August war der Pool absolut spitze (eine Hälfte flacher und zum Stehen, die andere Hälfte toll tief für die Kinder zum Tauchen!)!!!

Das Hotel war wirklich sehr schön. Top Zimmer in der Kategorie Superior. Sehr gute Betten. Wir schliefen hervorragend. Mit Top Swimmingpool. Sehr freundlichen. Wirtsleute. Er breitet gute Menüs, jedoch nicht billig. Frühstück war gut. Ruhig gelegen, der Ort Carmignano is klein. Keine öffentl. Verkehrsanbindung. Nachts ist Ruhe....mit Auto zum Zug und bis na. Florenz ist in 0,45 min möglich. Wir würden jederzeit wieder da wohnen wollen.

Perfect hotel for a quiet break
This is a lovely, quaint hotel. Small but very friendly. My room was smallish but I had a perfect view over the lovely swimming pool and across the valley. Room was decorated in a Tuscan style but had everything Ineeded. The bathroom was small but modern and the shower was great. Gabrielle and christina who run it were very helpful and accomodated me in printing my boarding passes andarranging taxi´s which are hard to get. Being in a very rural area (a teeny-tiny village with nothing more than a very basic grocery store the size of a large bathroom) you would need your own transport. However if you are staying for a quiet break and are attending a function at the nearby Artimino heritage villa then it is perfect. Taxi´s to and from the hotel the anywhere in the nearby 5km radius are around 20Euros each way. Understandable given there is one taxi driver and very little demand to warrant a two way fare. I woul definately recommend this hotel. Tne breakfasts are lovely with plenty of choice in a continental style. The restauranthas a limited menu but what it offers is done very well and is costed reasonably. Overall a lovely stay.

Sehr hübsches Hotel
Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war gut und der "Chef" hat uns jeden Abend leckeres Essen serviert. Das Hotel liegt etwas abgelegen, aber wer in Italien nicht gerne Auto fährt, kann vom Bahnhof Signa viele bekannte Ziele preisgünstig mit dem Zug erreichen. Der Parkplatz ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, er liegt ziemlich abschüssig und wenn Autos dort parken, kann man nicht gut wenden. Aber das hat uns nicht wirklich gestört. Das Hotel liegt an einem Hang, wenn man nach hinten raus Zimmer hat, hat man einen sehr schönen Ausblick. Es hat einfach alles gepasst.

Min fru och jag skulle vila upp oss i Toscana, trodde vi. Det visade sig att på helger blir ett offentlig pool å ungdomarna kommer och det dricks en hel del men det som var mest jobbigt var hög musik. Ingen av koppling. Sedan på kvällen var det födelsedagsfest för ett gäng ungdomar å det gjorde att vi somnade inte innan 03.00. Inte kul. Kristina som hade stället bra extremt trevlig och vill att fler gäster hittar dit men då får man tänka på sina gäster å sömnen för dom.

Hotel with great views and pool (but beware!)
Hotel is set in the lovely Tuscan hills. Villa is well maintained and nice as are your hosts. Many good restaurants a short drive away. However, if you are there to enjoy a few peaceful days around the large, scenic pool, think again. Maybe to make needed additional funds, locals are charged to come and use the pool each day. That means it is full (no pool loungers left), often with 20 yr old kids from about 10am - 7pm. It is not conducive to quiet or relaxing. I would be ok with it if it was just the weekend and we had been informed of it prior but this goes on all week. Again a nice place and friendly people but you really can't just sit and enjoy a lazy day by the villa's gorgeous pool.

Wonderful and quiet stay
It was fantastic and we plan to return as soon as possible. Great view, warm and friendly staff, fantastic in-house cook, authentic Italian experience, family run. A bit far from Florence, but only a 20 minute train ride. Recommend highly. Do yourself a favor though and rent a car if you're staying here. Getting to and from the train station in the town closest can be tricky without one.

Beautiful villa in Tuscany.
Kristina and Gabriella were very friendly and helpful. The dinners at the restaurant were amazing. They provided a cheap transfer to the nearest railway station. It was a bit further from the station than we thought, but really enjoyed our time there. Highly recommended.

Super Hotel zum Relaxen
Schon bei unserer Anreise haben wir gemerkt das dieses Hotel etwas weit ab vom schuss ist. Dies war aber von mir auch gewollt, um etwas Ruhe zu bekommen. Der Parkplatz ist ziemlich ungünstig wie ich finde. Es ist ein schotterplatz der bergab geht. Das parken ist kein problem. Aber das ausparken kann schwierig werden wenn andere gäste zu nah an einem parken. Das personal war sehr freundlich und konnte stehts mit guten english helfen :) Die zimmer wurden täglich gereiningt was man auch gemerkt hat. Leider wurden die Handtücher nur einem während unseren 8-tägigen aufenthalt gewechselt. Das fanden wir nun nicht sooo schlimm aber sind schon anderes gewohnt aus anderen Hotels. Das frühstuck morgens ist zwar überschaubar aber sehr lecker und schmeckt sehr frisch :) kann ich nur empfehlen :) auch weil eine mögliche alternative etwas weit weg ist xD Der pool wird auch täglich gereinigt und war steht sauber und hatte eine angenehm kühle temperatur. Was uns an 2 nächten missfallen hat war die laute musik am pool, die um 23 uhr plötzlich mehrfach laut und dann wieder leiser gedreht wurde. Das ging an beiden tagen länger das mir fast der kragen geplatz wäre und ich dem DJ mal eine ansage gemacht hätte. An sich wird immer nur sehr leise am pool musik abgespielt, wenn überhaupt. Im grossen und ganzen waren wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel und dem Personal. Wer mitten in der Toskana Urlaub machen will mit viel ländlicher landschaft um sich herum der ist hier richtig :)

Flot udsigt og dejlig pool. Ligger langt væk fra by og butikker. Svært at køre dertil. Farlige parkeringsforhold på stærkt skrånende plads. Aircondition ikke optimal. Meget larm fra vejarbejde. Værelsets møbler var gamle og skrøbelige. Lille udvalg af mad, som ikke var særlig spændende. Personalet/ejere meget søde og venlige.

Sommer Hitze in der Toscana
Die Lage und der Stil des Hotels hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Das Essen war sehr gut, das Nachtessen war leider etwas spät angesetzt und hat leider sehr lange gedauert. Die vielen Nicht- Hotelgäste im und um den Pool haben uns gestört. Wir haben bewusst ein kleines Hotel gewählt um Ruhe zu haben. Die Parkplatz Situation ist eine Zumutung.

Das Hotel liegt in Hanglage mit einem traumhaften Blick!! trotz unserem beruflichen Aufenthalt,hatten wir das Gefühl im Urlaub zu sein! sehr zu empfehlen ist auch das Grappa-Sortiment ;-)

Excellent hotel with panoramic vista over the Arno
We received a very warm welcome from Gabriella & Christina who made every effort to make our stay a comfortable one. Most of the rooms have a panoramic vista from the balcony looking out over the valley of the Arno River and the wooded Tuscan countryside. The room was a good size and could accommodate three; The bathroom was very well appointed and the rooms have air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice; The hotel has its own restaurant and offers a very reasonably priced set menu each day. We were provided with a kettle and coffee & tea in the room. In the summer months there is a large swimming pool and sun terrace. What's not to love?

I can't say enough positives about this place! The staff is wonderful, the rooms are large and clean. I had a wonderful balcony and view of the Tuscan countryside. The food was great too. I went here alone without a car. So for small surcharge the staff would drive me to the closest train stop abt 5min away. Buses run very often so it's easy to get into Florence or other cities at that point. The staff helped me with researching train times. Also free Wi-Fi! Loved it!!!

Lovely little hotel
Having had a tiring few days in Rome, this lovely little hotel was an oasis of tranquility, in a pretty village in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, not far from Florence. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, providing maps and booking our entry to the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, saving us hours of queuing. The room was finished to a very high quality and we had a lovely terrace overlooking the Arno valley. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice but it hadn't been clear to us when we booked that they weren't included in the cost of the hotel. It would have been better if they had been as it would have been unlikely we'd have gone elsewhere for breakfast. We had dinner at the hotel on 3 nights. The food was great but limited and we could have done with some vegetables! Also, we had to pay for extras such as water and bread, but didn't realise this until we came to settle the final bill. This should have been made clear upfront. The hotel was well placed for exploring Tuscany, though one road back to the hotel was scary to say the least! All in all, we had a lovely stay at this charming hotel and would strongly recommend it if you're considering visiting this part of the world.

Schöne kleine Unterkunft mit super Ausblick
Das Hotel ist nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen (über enge Bergstraßen), was aber ok ist. Abenteuerlich wird es dann, wenn man versuchen muss auf einer stark abschüssigen mit Rollsplit versehen Hotelzufahrt zu parken bzw. zu wenden. Wenn das geschafft ist, hat man aber einen umso schöneren Blick auf das Arnotal (insbesondere bei den Zimmern mit Balkon oder Dachterasse). Für den Pool gilt dasselbe. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch die hoteleigene Taverne, in der wir sehr gut gegessen haben. Wer viel unternehmen will kann auch bequem von Signa (nächstgrößere Stadt 10-15 Autominuten entfernt) mit dem Zug viele bekannte Ziele (Florenz, Pisa, Siena, etc.) schnell und günstig erreichen.

Great views and friendly people.
Overall I had a good stay and found the people helpful and friendly. The whole feel of the hotel was positive and the negative comments following only affected the first day. Unfortunately, on arrival, I had to search the hotel and get help from other guests to find the check in person. A notice said to ring the bell for reception but nobody answered either that or the phone. The appropriate person was busy with other duties and thought all guests were already checked in. He was quick to help when finally contacted. Late in the same day I had to ask twice for the canned music playing by the pool to be turned off (at about 1030pm). It had been left on by mistake after the pool closed and the speakers were facing my room. Both these things were dealt with and there was much else to commend. The restaurant for example is very pleasant and the food is good even if rather light on vegetables. The breakfast terrace is great with a tremendous view. Information in the room could be improved. It doesn't mention that breakfast and dinner are taken in different places for example and it would have been good to be given the wifi code without asking.

Lille dejligt hotel i lækre omgivelser
Dejligt lille hotel, der ligger med en pragtfuld udsigt i lille charmerende Carmignano. Vi blev modtaget med åbne arme (til trods for at vi kom 3 timer før indtjek startede), og vi blev straks budt på frokost, selvom dette skulle være booket i forvejen. Lille og ok morgenmadsbuffet til billig penge. Personale og ejere storsmilende hele tiden. Poolområdet er indbydende og lækkert. Helt sikkert ikke sidste gang vi har været der!

Amazing views, great atmosphere. Great price for what you get. Only issue was air conditioning didn't work- it was comfortable if you left the windows open, but then there were mosquitoes. I liked the place enough to overlook this, I'd stay again for sure.

Cute hotel but very remote
This hotel looks adorable from the outside but is very far away from everything so I do not recommend unless you have a car. Dinner was also very expensive and not worth it. Rooms were a little outdated and the air conditioning did not work. We informed staff of this and they told us they would come and check it out. We waited hours and they never did so we suffered through 2 very hot and stuffy sleepless nights. Do not recommend if you prefer a cooler, air conditioned room in the summer for sleeping.

Beautiful hotel in the Tuscany hills
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa La Malva. The location in the Tuscany hills is unmatched. The hotel was clean, staff were very courteous, and they even had a pool which we really enjoyed in the warm weather. No complaints!

très bon accueil
très bon accueil en français,hotel parfait dommage qu'il y est 1 aile en construction .les indications pour trouver l hotel sont pratiquement inexistantes

Great view !
This hotel was at part 2 of our honeymoon, it is located in a beautiful and secluded Italian town, the hotel is very nice, clean and pretty. The staff were very nice and helpful ! One little problem though, this hotel is very close to nature (which is great) and therefore in the mosquito season we couldn't use the pool. The breakfast is highly recommended - they serve one of the best cappuccinos we had in Italy.

We had a wonderful time. Gorgeous views, lovely room, staff were great and we really enjoyed the restaurant.
