The manager was unprofessional and I felt they were picking With me . Front desk staff should be more informative about certain things . But what I can say is Corey who works there was amazing and did his very best to make sure we enjoyed our time, my son had a fun birthday, he made me and my family comfortable

Booked us in another persons room. It was very uncomfortable going into someone elses room. Went to the front desk, they gave us a different room but didn't care what they did wrong and didn't want to make up for it.

The hotel was clean and nicely updated, bar/restaurant are very nice as was the staff there. Pool and hotub/game area very nice and clean. The heat in the room would go past the set temp and then the air conditioner would come on and freeze us. The hotel staff (except the bar staff and gentleman who was in a purple shirt we talked to after we checked in) really need to be instructed on what being in customer service means. When we checked in we were not informed of any of the amenities or time/locations, called for tv remote not working the next am and was told I could come and get a new one (I did say no and asked them to bring it to me which they reluctantly did,it was just after 6 am I was was not dressed to go out), told the front desk on check out about heat/ac in room told they would have someone look at it later no appologies. Not the level of service I expected for this $$ hotel.

The man working the front when I first checked in was not very welcoming and friendly. Sitting on his phone when I walked in and immediately after he finished checking me in he sat back down and pulled out his phone again. No thank you or simple “have a good night” even after I said both of those things to him. Although, when I checked out the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful! The other negative thing I experienced was the fact that there were toenail clippings on the floor of my room when I checked in. That was appalling getting to the hotel late and to look down at the floor before you crawl into bed and see toe nails on the floor…

Your hot tub in the actual swimming pool {not lap} needs to be fixed and I would highly recommend a slide of some sort in that pool. Our kids stayed at the lap pool because it was empty. Rooms are nice but check out your rates. For a two room suite, one of the rooms only had a day bed for kids not a full bed for adults so that was deceiving on the web; the rate you had for that room on a Sunday night? Was really high. Maybe your suites in the new addition are worth $300 but our room we got to around 830pm and we left at 7am, your front desk personal wouldn't give us a break on the room rate. We are IHG members and had just stayed at one of your Staybridge's the night prior.

Good for family entertainment but not for business travelers. The set up is terrible. Floor plan is very choppy. The in room coffee maker worked only sometimes. The fan in the bathroom was disgusting and spitting hair onto the ceiling. The sink had a layer of grime between sink and countertop. Everything on the property is very spread out. It was worth a try but there is another property close by with a much more convenient set up for business travelers

Horrible Management
We didnt even get past the check in process. Felt very discriminated by the management because we booked our hotel stay with hotels.com. We are not a racist family but maybe if they had American workers than maybe they could run the computer the right way. The woman who checked us in couldnt properly charge our card. She said she was management but no name tag. After we called our bank to see if our account was flagged due to traveling she refused to run our card again. Then laughed at us and told us to go to Quality Inn and maybe they could accommodate us and it is cheaper. We stay in St. Cloud every year for the fair. This will be the last time we stay at Holiday Inn. They have even upped the prices of their rooms to pay for the construction they did. We werent the only family that this happened to.

The room was spacious and attractive. I found the restaurant to be a bonus feature here with good food and ambiance. The large spread for the pool and arcade areas were quite impressive.

Need to work on a few things…
This hotel was recently renovated and I feel they took away a few amenities. We had a suite with a small kitchen, full size fridge, sink, microwave..there were no dishes, no paper towels, nothing for the kitchen. The bathroom had bar soap and our room had two conditions, no shampoo.. of course no housekeeping as it seems like hotels just don’t anymore.. we were actually upgraded to a suite because the first room they gave us wasn’t even made up.. all the pillows and blankets were on the floor.. so we had to haul all our still back down and request a new room.. they kind of acted like that was a big deal and the hotel was literally empty all weekend… it’s was a beautiful hotel after renovations but wouldn’t stay there again. One more recommendation, put a rug in the suites main living space.. very cold and univiting…

The shower is a bit cramped with the seat down, but it was nice to have a place to sit. There needs to be some shelving in the shower stall to set things (shampoo, soap rag) on. Everything else was good. Comfortable bed and pillows. Also, the food in the restaurant was very good. Looking forward to seeing it when the work is all done.
