Excelente ubicación, comodidad y servicio.
El hotel está muy cómodo, nos gustó mucho que tiene cocina y un antecomedor, la ubicación es excelente muy cerca del Zoológico y de Balboa park, el personal muy amable.

La atención muy buena, hotel viejo pero remodelado, no hacen limpieza a diario solo cambian toallas y el internet no funciona.

El lugar es bonito y a pesar de que no se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad esno no importa, se encuentra muy cerca de todos los sitios que uno pueada desear visitar, excelente ubicacion.

La decoraciòn del hotel es muy fea, mi hijo se espantò, recomendarìa una buena remodelada a lo que decoraciòn se refiere. Por lo demàs buena la atenciòn , la ubicacion y el desayuno muy bueno.

Great stay overall. We loved our suite, and it was walking distance to the zoo, perfect as that’s the reason we booked the hotel. Only minor complaint was it’s not an accessible hotel, and we had a baby with a stroller so had to climb stairs to get into the hotel each day (there is an elevator once you are in the hotel, just a pain to get in with a baby). Also no service for attending to your room during the stay.

Customer service is a dying art. It was so refreshing to be treated so warmly at Inn at the Park. The customer service was excellent! The hotel is switched in a very cute neighborhood of Bankers Hill with exceptional views of Balboa Park. Can’t wait to stay here again soon!

I liked that the hotel was older and being maintained well. The only thing I did not like is you have to valet park your car and no one discussed with me the fees until asked. I also did not like the main elevator. It definitely needs more servicing.

Good location - super old hotel
We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. The old, squeaky floors can be charming but we found them to just be old and annoying. Lots of room-to-room and floor-to-floor noise. The room also had a certain old, musty, almost moldy smell. Not enjoyable! Check-in also took forever and was followed by a timeshare pitch. The building has been converted to a timeshare property (part of a national chain) so they really want you to have free breakfast to hear the pitch. Not a great experience when you just want to go to the room. Easy walk to the park and drive to the zoo so that was a plus.

I appreciated the location at the price point. It is a older property, so don't expect it to look like it was built in the 2000s, but everything worked well and was clean. The beds were comfy and room was dark. The kitchen worked well and the walk in closet provided plenty of space and even space to change of the bathroom is in use. The main downsides were lack of included parking (you could find street parking or valet for $25/night or so). There's no included breakfast but there is a restaurant so close you barely have to leave the hotel. It's easy walking distance to part of Balboa Park but to get to some of the main attractions like the zoo or museums, it's a longer walk (20-40 minutes - Balboa Park is huge and the roads inside are winding). One other note is that most of the units are time shares so the concierge is helpful about what to do around the area but they're obliged to try to sell you on a marketing breakfast where they'll pitch the timeshare. Our concierge was nice though and not too pushy, if you're not interested you could probably just skip and go to your room.

The Inn at the Park is a delightful, mid-century decorated, resort property adjacent to Balboa Park. My wife and I have stayed here several times and always look forward to the next visit!

My wife loved this hotel!
This vacation was for my wife and her best friend of over 50 years! My wife told me the hotel was beautiful and clean and the location could not be beat. It is right across the street from Balboa Park. The kitchen in the room was a great asset for cooking breakfast. My wife and her friend walked to the zoo and that was the main reason for their trip. She told me the front desk staff were so friendly and helped them get rides with the Lyft service and held their luggage while they were exploring the area. The Inn was one of the best places my wife has ever been to. Yes, she would recommend this hotel to anyone that asked where to stay if they were visiting San Diego! You also can walk across the street to Jimmy Carter's Mexican food restaurant and walk to the Marketplace Deli. Both have fabulous food.

The property is absolutely awesome, and the rooms are awesome. The valets are the very best. The front desk is super professional and helpful. My main issue with staff is the "concierge counter" which is really a worldmark time share sales counter. It was my honeymoon, and they were extremely pushy about getting us signed up for an 1 and 30 minute presentation. When we went to cancel it because we were exhausted and wanted alone time they still pushed, then made is feel like we were doing something inconvenient to THEM. We love that hotel but its pretty offputting to deal with the timeshare sales. The resort its self is awesome and has a beautiful asthetic other than windows that can be tricky to open. Valet is worth it as well.

Booked because of location. It was close to SD Zoo and Seaworld; as my family and I were going to visit the parks. Overall really great location and facility. As soon as you check in, they send you over to concierge so that they can try to book you for a timeshare presentation. They were pretty pushy and even gave us a "courtesy call" in the morning when we didn't request it. They did state that parking on site is $25 a night but we found that we were able to get street parking. If you are willing to do that, it will save you. Most likely won't stay here again because my family and I were there to have a little family vacation but felt push for the timeshare presentation kind of made it a little annoying.
