We do apologize for the inconveniences you faced during your stay. As is standard in most hotels, we do collect a mandatory security deposit upon check-in and is refundable after check-out, should no damage or policy violations occur. This policy is outlined on all sites listing our business, as well as being posted at the front desk and detailed in the registration form you completed during the check-in process. An important thing to note with the deposits: On the day you check out, we void the deposit and it is completely released from our system.  You will not see a credit of $50 from Alpine Inn. What you are looking for is, after about 2-4 business days, there should be no transaction at all. This is because the deposit is only a temporary authorization - not a final transaction; meaning it will disappear from your statement once it has been released. However, if you are still seeing a PENDING $50 from Alpine Inn beyond about 4 business days from your check-out, it would be recommended to follow up with your bank, as they are the one who is processing the transaction once we void it from our system.  If you have any further concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
