We had always wanted to stay at The Landing. Got a chance with a reasonable rate. 1st thing got into a downstairs room as requested. Was almost totally unpacked when we realized the furnace didn’t work. So now we were given the first downstairs room at the other end of the building. It took us 5 trips to walk all the way in cold weather to the other room. No the manger didn’t offer to help us. The first day was really a setup for more irritating things to come with this room. On the first night we realized there was no appropriate lighting in the room. Two over head lights than probably were 60 watts. It rain & hailed that night. I woke up to a no sleep that night due to rude neighbors taking a shower at 12 midnight!! Then I went to open the blinds by the door & window only to step in water that leaked into the room. Wet socks!! On the 3rd day leaving it rain harder the night before & again I walked into water not only by the door but the floor by the bed was soaked and again I ruined my socks! This place has a 90 rating as wonderful. Well maybe in the summer but it should be wonderful all the time for a 90 wonderful rating. No they didn’t even bother to offer any restitution for the mess they made of our stay. We will never stay there again and now our favorite get away to visit Morro Bay has been tainted for awhile. Never have we ever been this dissatisfied and disappointed in a reservation as “Then Landing” 👎👎👎

The room was clean. Very comfortable and excellent location near the waterfront area. It was quiet when we arrived at 9pm. The only issue we had was that we visited the first week of April and it was rather cool. Our room 111 had a heated fake fire place but we could have used more heat for the temperature of the season. An additional blanket would have probably taken care of it. Would recommend this hotel and how to return.

The room was remodeled in a clean, fresh style that felt sanitary. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The Landing is well run and nicely kept. Very conveniently located within walking distance to everything you need in Morro Bay.

Amy at front desk was wonderful and welcoming. Property has been upgraded, and some aspects were great-comfy beds, large room, fireplace, vintage photographs. But super tiny sink in bathroom, and lovely large glass doors and windows with great views, but expose your room to everyone walking by unless blinds are down-losing view. Great location, beautiful outdoor space. Coffee options in lobby were great.

The check in process was smooth and easy. The gentleman who checked me in was professional and polite. Not overly friendly or anything. I stayed in room 209. It had a great view of the town and the giant rock that this place is known for-Morro Rock. The room was spacious, clean and had a microwave and a small fridge. I wish it had a coffee machine though. They do serve coffee in the mornings in the lobby but I typically get up very early and enjoy a cup in my room. Otherwise, I liked the room very much especially the wooden floors; I dislike carpet in my hotels. The Inn is situated a stones throw from town below. There were plenty of shops and eateries along the bay. The area appeared to be clean and well managed. I only stayed one night so I didn’t really explore except on foot. I will be back. It was a nice stay.

The manager at The Landing was remarkably helpful. He made sure that all the anxiety of a difficult situation was removed, above and beyond the call. The hotel is clean and comfy. The view is lovely and an amazingly beautiful park and super cute downtown shopping/eating area just steps away. We will be back!!

The property location is convenient, walking distance from restaurants, shops and otter viewing area. It was clean and newly remodeled. The walls are thin and it sounded like our neighbor's were rearranging there furniture. The fire place was cute and did keep the room warm. The entire town shuts down around 8:00pm so we had a pretty quiet night after the neighbor's got there furniture situated and their air mattress blown up.

We arrived after hours and the staff left easy instructions to access our room (111, highly recommend asking for this room). We had some small issues but the staff rectified the situation in the morning so it was all good. Adorable room with seaside decor. Can stare at Morro Rock right out the window. Love the hardwood floors, the “fireplace” heater, the farm door for the bathroom, and the spaciousness. Will definitely stay here again and wish we could extend our stay. Many thanks to the staff!

I loved my room but the rest of my family did not share the same point of view. They complained about the faucet to be plugged for one room, the toilet did not work properly and one did not know how to use the heater. People could see thru the curtains on the side I made the booking with my card, we were driving from LAX with three cars. My daughter checked-in first the receptionist did not want to wait and charged all the rooms on my credit card I was only a minute away from the hotel when she called me that everything was put on my card. I should had been told when the check-in time was until

The staff there was very friendly and accommodating. Awesome view from upstairs rooms. Hardworking housekeepers. However, even though there have been upgrades since we last stayed there, it is mostly superficial, not quality. The bathrooms are too small, the showers leak onto the floor through the shower door, the bathroom vent fans sound like they’re on their last leg. Seating is minimal…miniature table and chairs. Not enough amenities…limited towels, bath products. No coffee pot! Not enough counter space. Again, the staff is great, but the property is lacking quite a bit. Not sure we will be back.

This property is very convenient to many shopping and dining options, most within walking distance. Rooms are remodeled, clean, and comfortable in size for our family of 4. The fireplace in the room was a nice touch! Would definitely stay here again.
