Fine but not outstanding. Perfect location if you’re visiting Gonzaga—it’s right next door. Pillows were useless, comforter missing from one bed, no daily housekeeping. Gym was too full to use when more than five people were using it; no free weights or mats. Restaurant wasn’t open late. They’ve remodeled but done it on the cheap. Super long hallways, long schlep from the lobby if you’re in buildings 5 & 6, but then you’re right near Gonzaga. Woken up by people talking in the hallways, doors closing shut. Good outdoor facilities if you have a dog. Nice location on the river. Better if you have a car.

Overall the service is great and the hotel is doing great. The location is also convenient and it take us around 20 mins working to downtown. Also there is a bus stop just by the hotel. The staff at the front desk are very nice. There is a mini market by the front desk and when I tried to buy one small tube of toothpaste from the mini market, the staff just offered me a few free sample size toothpaste. Even if it's only a small saving for me, the altitude here is great and they are really considering for you. With that said, there are some small rooms for improvements. Let me list them here: 1. According to Expedia, this hotel should come with two pools and one is for adults and one is for kids. When we were there, only one pool was open and another one was closed. Maybe they should update the information there. 2. The pictures of the room didn't show the shower and it turned out the shower head is fixed in the ceiling. If it can be changed to the removable ones, that would be more convenient for families with small children. 3. They offer free hot water/coffee/ice water at a stand by the restaurant for guests. We stayed there for 4 days, the hot water ran out twice. (I am not talking about hot water in the bathroom, that's always good) 4. The breakfast started at 7am, if it can be moved to 6:30am, or at least moved to 6:30am when there are some events going on, that would be great. Of course, all of these are minor things and this is still a very good hotel.

Rooms were clean, updated. On site restaurant/bar was great. Very quaint patio right by the river. Hot tub/pool area was also nice with bbq’s/patio furniture. Definitely would stay there again!

I did not like when housekeeping came into my room after I had put the “do not disturb” sign on the door. We left one morning and housekeeping was down the hall. She had asked if I needed any towels or anything. I replied no we were ok and did not need anything. I did not want anyone in our room. When we came back to the room in the evening, I noticed new towels and toilet paper. It annoyed me the housekeeper did not listen when I said we don’t need anything. We were fine using our towels again.

We chose the River Ruby Hotel as our place to stay while we were doing a campus visit of Gonzaga University. The hotel is literally next door to the Hotel and was a great location right next to the river. Additionally, it was pet friendly, which allowed us to bring our dog along for the adventure. Overall, it was a good option for our family and we enjoyed our stay there.

Close to Gonzaga which was the reason for our visit. Front desk was very friendly. Clean hotel!
