We needed a place to stay in a pinch and picked this one to get thru one night. The front desk manager was very nice and helpful. The rooms were small but fairly clean. There were obvious things on the carpet that showed it either hadnt been vacuumed or they just didnt pick up bottle caps off the floor. There was no bathroom mirror over the sink to do makeup and such things. The beds were pretty comfortable and clean.

Find somewhere else for a few dollars more
Most recent reviews on google were pretty deceiving. The room was not remodeled, the smell of mold/mildew hit us in the face when we walked in, floor was uneven under the old carpet. Bed not comfortable, bathroom had no caulking along the floor and was very dirty. Window a/c in the wall did not work well. Check in was very weird….gentleman wasn’t sure if we had paid or not. This room was definitely not worth the $80. It was a $50 dollar hotel in a “red” crime rate part of town. They had no refunds posted in the office so we knew that would be futile. Just glad we were only staying a few hours before heading to the airport for a flight out. At least there wasn’t bugs that we saw?

Mathew, Not really sure how to respond to this feedback. However, what we can say is that we do not profile and we do not refuse service to people based on class. That would just be wrong. Your comments have been noted and we will keep them in mind when thinking of how great America is by allowing its citizens to be from all over the world.

Representative seemed like he was on drugs. Room smelled of smoke, sheets looked dirty, poor water pressure, bathroom door couldn't be closed/ latched, tv didnt work and there were people acting sketchy outside.

Douglas, We are sorry our establishment did not meet your expectations. Your room smelling like smoke is being addressed and rectified. Poor water pressure we are looking into. Not sure what good water pressure for you is but we set at the happy medium to cover acceptable standards from the city. Bathroom door is being fixed. Sorry about that. T.V. not working confused us for a minute and then noticed you have to turn the cable box on. Clearer operating instructions forth coming. As for people acting sketchy outside we watch and if any guests acting out of accordance of our guest policies are asked to leave. As for the rep. you are implying was on something had said the same thing about you. But we don't judge as some people work a lot of hours and at 1am - 2am we give the benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise. Again we apologize for not meeting your expectations. We hope your travels going forward were pleasant. We appreciate your feedback and have and will address each one and try harder to avoid reoccurrence.

Don’t stay
Worst experience ever didn’t stay the night. This is a party druggie motel. Do not take your children there, my daughter was so scared we had to find a different motel. Door wouldn’t even lock motel staff no help.

Angela, We are sorry that you had a less than expected stay at our establishment. You stated that "motel Staff no help" and that is un-acceptable that that happened. We looked and don't see any communication between you and any hotel staff. That could have been an oversight and will be addressed. We take your security seriously. We have had no incidents where a guest safety was in jeopardy for a very very long time. We do monitor movements and watch for any activity that goes against any behavior that is deemed inappropriate or unlawful. However we are not able and its unfeasible to catch every incident that could be construed as a safety concern. First off your door will be repaired immediately and our staff will re-main vigilant to the people who come here to do acts deemed inappropriate. One way that happens is when a guest that is not doing those things sees or is approached to confidentially advise the front office so we can monitor and take appropriate action including calling the police if needed. We know not everybody has the courage to do that and that is understandable. We have come along way from where we used to be and where we are now and it's due much in part by your feedback and the feedback we get from other patrons. All we want is for you, our most valued asset, to have a peaceful, safe enjoyable stay. We apologize again.

We weren't able to stay because of cash deposit issues and was still charged. Be careful of this hotel!!

Robert, Not sure why you were not able to stay due to deposit issues. when your reservation was made it clearly stated that a cash deposit would be due upon arrival. It even says that you are responsible for providing upon check in. It even gives the amount. All reservations clearly provide this information. The reason you were charged is because and again this is clearly stated when you made the reservation that cancelling within these parameters results in : More than 24 hours prior to arrivalFull cost of stayLess than 24 hours prior to arrivalFull cost of stayNO SHOW or NOT CHECKED INOne (1) Nights Room and TaxNon-refundable times and dates are calculated from your cancellation cut-off time.Our facility requires ALL guests to provide a deposit upon check - In. We apologize that you were not able to stay due to not having deposit. There are valid reasons on why our property requires the deposit. We hope you understand and if you need future reservations we would love to accommodate you.

Door lock didn't work. Huge gap under the door. Lavatory sink leaked out onto the floor when you used it. Sheet was dirty, had a shoe footprint on it. TV was all unhooked, maintenance man had to come and hook it all up. We wre moved to another room, not any better than the first room we were in. Had some finger smeared blood on a wall. There was no refund allowed. The only positive thing was that the night clerk (maintenance man) was accommodating.

The air conditioning was not upbto par n we were suppoed to get queen beds n we got full size bed...n could smell mold in room...n language barrier difficult to explain things ....asked for a deposit n then had to check room like we were criminals n watched us bring our bag outside to vehicle..knowing we were in a company wrecker w logo n number on it.....very dissatisified n disappointed that i used my free nite coupon on this stay.

The owner was not going to honor the Expedia booking details for checking in. He tried charging us extra. The place was electrically unsafe with plug ins not working, exposed wires, braces under tub falling, tennants constantly in and out.

We did not stay. The room was dark, dank and smelled. I had to climb up on a table and then on the bathroom counter to turn on the A/C unit. I looked down and there were 3 huge spiders in the bathroom sink. We decided we were not staying there and left. Found a cleaner hotel at a Fairfield Inn.

Good but not great stay.
The service is really good but you could tell they do not inspect their rooms before new guest arrivals due to the fact there was food left in the fridge. We also did not appreciate them turning the air off while we were out of the room, but did not clean the room while in there.

When we woke the next morning only to discover our window had been open the whole night & we didn’t open it

Sylvia, We are sorry and concerned that your window to your room was found open the following morning during your stay. We take guest safety and security seriously. We have a associate that walks the property multiple times throughout the evening and one of the things we look for is open windows and doors. Housekeeping is instructed to check windows upon completion of cleaning guest rooms to insure they are securely closed. We have spoken to housekeeping and informed them of this incident and explained the importance of checking these things to assist in the prevention and stave off any future occurrences. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

OMG It took the front desk a long time to check us in, then they tell you when you can have guests, when you cant etc, which was fine we were only there to go to a ballgame and get some sleep. Motel had several broken down vehicles in parking lot, room smelled of mold and was disgusting. We walked in the room, walked out turned our key into the desk and found another hotel.

Glen, We are sorry to hear your interaction with our business was not up to your expectations. We are one of a handful of hotels that accept local residents to stay with us. The no visitors after nine is to curb the amount of traffic and parties that tend to take place otherwise. We also charge for extra guests in the room the same as any other of the thousands of hotels here since 80% of our patrons are local we verbally remind of the extra guests after hours policy. Sorry if this offended you as that was not the intention. As for the vehicles we have a policy against non drivable vehicle on our property. Our guess is the vehicles were just not in grate shape but drivable otherwise they would not be there. We don't judge by what vehicles our guests drive. As for the order in your room not sure as we had the room checked upon guest departure however for good measure we had this section of rooms air purified.

The size of the room was decent, and it was nice that it had a mini fridge and microwave. But, it was dark and dingy and not well maintained. Considering the prices aren't much different than some nicer hotels, it was disappointing.

Worst hotel in Springfield
No parking close to room door. Bed and pillows were awful. I’m handicapped and could barely use the toilet. There is an extra $25.55 charge from this establishment on my credit card. What is it for? No one can tell me. STAY ELSEWHERE!

Noel, We are truly sorry you encounter with our business was less than pleasant. We are addressing the issues that you mentioned. We do try to catch these items before they are encountered by a guest. We cant do much about the parking and not sure if you pre notified that you required handicap accommodations as we could have possibly made things easier for you. As far as the 25.55 extra charge, we do not charge any extra fees or svcs charges. We have seen in the past where the guests bank has charged extra fees unrelated to the hotel's merchant credit card processing center; All of our charges are fully disclosed at time of check in and check out. Horrible experience.
The refrigerator was not plugged in because there wasn’t an outlet available to plug it into. The TV wouldn’t work. One of the lights by the bed wouldn’t work. We had to call the front desk. It took him about 20 minutes to get there when he said he’d be right there. We were in the room closest to the office. We were kept up half the night by a constant scratching noise. My husband finally got up at 2:30 am and went into the bathroom and hit the ceiling a few times. He could hear a rodent scurry off. Apparently it had a nest there. I would not recommend staying here. When I told the office about this when I checked out, the guy just said, Oh I’m sorry. We will never stay here again.

Nothing to recommend this property. Police at property on both Friday and Saturday nights of my stay. Small parking lot with limited parking. Deep potholes. Dirty rooms with paper towels wadded up and stuck into holes in the walls. Old ice machines and furniture cluttered all of the outside walkways like obstacle course to rooms. Heat/air conditioner high up on wall. Had to climb on furniture to adjust. Filthy stains on all furniture and bedspread. Very disgusting place!

Jamie, Thanks for your feedback on your stay with us. We apologize that your interaction with our business was not to your liking. We hope that you can understand that all the instances you mention fall directly on our shoulders and we are in the process of modifying and correcting other issues. The clutter you had to deal with is due to equipment upgrades and the old equipment not picked up yet. The furniture you saw was the old furniture that was replaced. Your room may not have had the switch yet. Unfortunately there is little we can do about the space for parking. The potholes are from this winters parking lot clearing. It will get fixed this spring. As for the police we ask SPD to come to our facility to deter any offhanded or illicit activities and they also come through to check license plates. The wadded paper towels leaves me speechless. I don't have a reason for that one. Given all that the fact remains that you were not happy. If we can do anything to give you reason to try us again once all these changes are complete, please let us know.

We picked a very busy weekend to go to Springfield so this was mostly our fault. We paid for 2 queen beds but only got 2 double beds. The room was not cleaned from the last person’s stay so we had to wait in our car for our room to be cleaned. The manager had to help clean our room as they were short staffed which we appreciated. He offered to give our money back but there were no other rooms available on short notice at other hotels and this was the only room he had left.

Terrible experience! Front desk man who spoke somewhat English couldn't tell me if he had my reservation and then wanted cash to keep my reservation. Be very suspicious booking a room with this hotel! We did not stay because of the cash he wanted and because of the overall sight of this place.

Inexpensive and great location
Check in was easy. They were all friendly and helpful. They don't allow visitors after 9PM which was helpful to keep it quiet. The location was perfect. Close to the mall and dining!!

1st room (#109) smelled bad & deadbolt didn't work. Mgr. immediately moved me to another room. Smelled better & deadbolt worked. Plugs in bedside lights don't work. Had to move furniture to plug CPAP in
