What you can expect

Arrive early in the morning as the gates open up for the day at theArcheological Site of Teotihuacan and explore some of Mexico's rich history. Top your experience off by sampling some unique local liquors at a nearby shop.

Discover the 2,500-year-old Aztec settlement of Teotihuacan, a mythological “Birthplace of the Gods”. Follow your local guide as you wander around the city's fascinating complexes. Learn about the history of this archeological site while traversing the 2.5-mile Avenue of the Dead, seeing obsidian and jade artifacts at the Pyramid of the Moon, and admiring the ostentation of the Pyramid of the Sun. See the bird and butterfly motifs that decorate the columns of the Palace of Quetzalpapalotl and gaze up at the carvings of a snake and bird deity on theTemple of the Feathered Serpent.

Finally, stop by a family-run obsidian workshop where you will be able to admire the beautiful creations they manufacture with their own hands, and also, you can sample cactus liquors such as tequila, mezcal, and pulque. Here, you have the option of relishing a delicious lunch (at your own cost) consisting of various traditional dishes.
