Room not cleaned or turned down during stay. Shower thermostat was faulty so water was too hot to shower in. Breakfast was ok though and staff were friendly

Very friendly staff and owners. Comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. Bar is very well stocked with whisky(108 bottles) as well as other drinks. Definitely return if we are in the area.

We needed a reasonably priced hotel for one night including breakfast; this hotel came up and had decent reviews. Room was fine, clean and warm - nicely stocked for a cuppa and a biscuit. Had a meal at night and it was good. Decent breakfast and all good. Pleasant, friendly staff who were helpful.

Wouldn't stay again.
Unfortunately wasn't the stay we had hoped for. It was -5 outside when we arrived and there was no heating on in the room. The bathroom was extremely cold so having a shower was an ordeal rather than a pleasure. However, the food and restaurant was excellent.

So sorry to hear your review of your stay, unfortunatly the weather can get cold and the heaters in the rooms are always on for guests arriving so on this occasion we apolagise for this and if you had said at the time we could have helped as we have several portable heaters (Dyson) which could have solved this issue in a matter of minutes. We absolutly loved it here and although itcwas further out than we expected with an industrial estate as its neighbour you wouldnt know. The staff were frendly and couldnt do enough for you.the bar is very quant with a good selection of whiskeys . The food in the resturant was homemade and very tasty .

Short Beak
Lovely small hotel that was exactly as advertised. Very friendly staff and great food. Nice gardens with outdoor seating and parking. Don't be put off by general location as the gardens are designed to shut out the surroundings. Room was clean and adequate for our needs but would suggest better pillows.

The rooms were spacious and newly decorated. The front gardens were very pretty with lots of flowers blooming. The restaurant had a great breakfast that was included.

Wee gem of a hotel.
We booked this hotel as a last minute trip. When approaching the hotel we were not too sure we had done the right thing as it is close to an industrial area however we were delighted with the hotel and the grounds it sits on. The hotel is an old manse with a newer extension added on. We had a ground floor room as I have mobility issues and we looked out on to the garden and the car park but that was not an issue for us. The hospitality tray was plentiful and there was a teapot to make a pot of tea instead of just having teabags n a cup. We also had biscuits and tablet. We also chose to eat in the restaurant and we were not disappointed there either. The hotel menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. When our food arrived it was very well presented and a really good plateful. The staff were extremely professional and very friendly. In the morning we had a good choice for breakfast and again the plate was plentiful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will certainly be back when up in Aberdeen.

The atmosphere at this hotel along with the great staff and restaurant really made for a wonderful stay. You can walk to train station and/or quick taxi ride. My only recommendation would be that our room could use a new mattress and pillows, but we were so exhausted from traveling and fantastic day trips, we slept right through with no trouble. The place is newly renovated and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Server and breakfast was exceptional. Help from front desk was speedy. The room (with the wrong bed size) was incredibly hot. The towel warmer was seemingly out of control and front desk personnel disabled it. Telephone out of service. Barhroom sink so small that a measuring cup was provided to fill hot pot. Will not visit again.

Hi Janine, I'm not sure where you got the wrong bed size as we only have king size beds as stated on all of our websites including here on Expedia? Glad you enjoyed breakfast and the service. If only you didn't stay with us on the hottest day of the year, unfortunately us in Scotland aren't used to this heat either and we are not equipped with aircon throughout the hotel, as this does not happen often in Scotland. The towel rail is hard wired in so when the key card is in the electricity comes on, but glad the receptionist turned the heater off for you by disabling the fuse. We could have enabled your phone if you provided card details on check in. Shame you wont stay with us again, we would have loved to show you a better experience.

Brilliant stay thank you. I would suggest adding Flexel’s Scottish manufactured Mirror Demister Pads to the back of all bathroom mirrors to work with the light. These are low energy and stop steam on the mirrors when in the shower. Also stops hand prints from people wiping the steam off! These can be purchased from Electrical Centre around the corner from you.

Could be better
Upon arrival the reception wasn't covered we had to wait for staff to arrive. Check in was swift enough and clear. On entering my room which was poorly light it soon became clear that repairs to various items has slipped greatly eg. there were several broken floor tiles in the bathroom making it dangerous to walk on in the dark. Then there was only one light bulb working in the bathroom - dangerous environment again. The shower leaked water continuous, and when you did turn it on there was as water leaking out the back of the shower head as there was actually being used to have a wash with, not good. The door downstairs that goes through to the bar area shut with a bang which in turn echo'd through the floor to the bedroom, yet another late night. Then when the wind got up there was something loose on the roof which scrapped, guess what yet another late night. General Review - If you must then its not bad could be a lot better with sometime and some money being spent.

Amazing host and feels like family. Super friendly and super helpful. I stayed here before and promised I would return which I did even if it was only for a night. The restaurant also has delicious vegan and gluten-free options for me which was important.

Pinehurst Hotel, Dyce.
We were hoping the hotel would be the same as the food, good value and nice. The room was cold and the bed was hard and the pillows were so flat. It would have been nice to have some heat when we came in but the heater was too small and not ideal for such a big room .The toilet didn't flush great and we got one of everything when there was two of us. The shower curtain was clean but they are not hygienic. The breakfast was ok. It is a shame as the dinner and wine at night was lovely and good value. This hotel is being used for offshore worketrs mainly and that is fine but it could be so much better with some tlc and detail to comfort. The toilet seat was cheap and the room wasn't dirty but not to a high standard of cleanliness, unhoovered looking and dust on toilet seat.
