“Staff were amazing, using a real human approach to their job. Youve got a a great team that work together and understand that their customers are people too. We had some awesome chats with lewis in particular during our short stay and can see hes destined for big things in his life! “As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. ”

“We had a lovely couple of nights at the Bear Hotel. Room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Only very slight negative on room, was that on our first night, we could only get luke-warm water from the shower. Ate in the restaurant and meal was good quality overall. Service in restaurant was a little slow and lacking some attention to detail but pleasant all the same. Will happily return to stay here again, and plan to do so.”
