The hotel is very close to the beach, breakfast was good, the room was confortable, but the bathroom was a stinky, something goin on with the drains. Everyone who work there are friendly and helpful.

This property was very close to a beautiful beach for swimming. My daughter and I felt very safe walking around this family community where people were always saying hello and always engaged in chit chat with each other. Shopping was fun, especially if you love pistachios. There was a very beautiful ancient temple that we climbed up to. If was a very steep climb so I recommend anyone with mobility issues to take a taxi.

Extremely helpful stuff. Very polite and always available to help. The street is rather quiet and the beach is 60m from hotel The bathroom is extremely small at least in our room. Although it was quite old, it was clean

Right on the beach in Agia Marina
The location was literally a 1 min walk to a beautiful clean beach! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was cosy and clean. There are shops, restaurants and cafes just steps away from the hotel. Very good value for the money. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room was a comfortable size with a large balcony. Location was great. The beach and shops were right outside. From this location you’ll be close to the temple ruins of aphaea and the church of saint nektarios which is a plus. The owner offers breakfast for 5 euro per person which we liked due to the convenience. Overall I would stay there again when visiting the island.

Such a nice and relaxed stay!
Our stay at Hotel Rachel has been such a sweet and relaxed experience. The owners Yannis and Angelica where the greatest.The hotel is laying close to the beach but not on the main street of Agina Marina, and that is god. The rooms where clean and neat, even though the place is a bit marked of time. It is not the most fashonable hotel we have stayed at, but definetly the most relaxed,and welcoming one We will definetly go back again- soon!

Positivt överraskad!
Ett väldigt prisvärt hotell. Hotellets ägare var mycket trevligt och hjälpsam. Frukosten erbjöd det mesta man kan önska, både färsk frukt och färska grönsaker. Badrummet var litet och trångt. Hit kommer jag att åka fler gånger!

Great. Writing my only hotel review in 5 years.
I stay in hotels +300 nights per year. This is my first review. This is a very well-located (20 feet to beach), clean hotel run by two exceptionally friendly owners. They greeted me warmly. Gave me all sorts of information about the island. And left a nice Greek desert in my room while I was out. The next morning they helped me start my dead scooter. And I noticed they greeted me by name every time I saw them (not sure how they can remember names like that). Highest recommendation. This is the hotel to stay at on Aegina.

Wonderful place!
We could not have been happier with our stay at Hotel Rachel. It is a very short walk from the bus stop (maybe 2 minutes) and the minute we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome and special. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The beach is 200 steps away (I counted), and it is absolutely beautiful. The room had a hairdryer, fridge, kettle, iron and ironing board and air conditioning. The shower was lovely and hot. The breakfast was perfect - a huge choice of cereals, Greek yoghurt and honey, ham, cheese, eggs and a lovely variety of bread, which was so fresh from the local bakery that it was actually still warm! The hotel owners, Janis and Angelica, were the perfect hosts. The were extremely friendly and welcoming, and after being there for 5 minutes, we felt like old friends, not hotel guests. The lovely lady,ελπίδα, who works hard cleaning the rooms,could not do enough for us and our room was spotless every day. I can honestly say that I shed a tear when we left, as it had been so amazing. The only consolation is that we have already made arrangements to go back in September!

Οι ιδιοκτήτες του ξενοδοχείου ήταν πάρα πολύ εξυπηρετικοί. Η τοποθεσία δίπλα στην παραλία και στο λιμανάκι της Αγίας Μαρίνας. Αξιοπρεπέστατη διαμονή. Προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα :)

Getaway
It was a last-minute decision to get away and after a bit of research on Hotels.com I decided on Hotel Rachel and was not disappointed. It is a wonderfully run little gem, the owner's can't be more helpful, the room was perfect for sleeping off a busy day with a lovely view of the bay. The bugs were out in force but the hotel very helpfully supplies a plug-in bug repellent. The fridge is a lifesavernon a hot day, my frozen bottles of water got me through the day. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Highly recommend this hotel!

Super venligt personale og hyggeligt hotel
Hyggeligt hotel med meget venligt personale. Det venlige ægtepar som ejer hotellet bød på vin og vand da vi ankom og hjalp os på alle måder. Hotellet er slidt men rent og værelserne ok med fine altaner. God beliggenhed. Lidt kedelig morgenmad.

Helt ok!
Bodde 6 nätter med mina två döttrar. Rummet var liten, fick knappt plats med våra två resväskor. Toaletten var jätteliten, svårt att röra sig i duschen. Hade stor balkong. Frukosten var ok. Rummet var rent. Läget var bra, nära till stranden.

만족해요^^
에기나 항에서 완전 반대방향에 있는 호텔이라 택시타고 들어갔고 17유로 나왔네요. 호텔 바로 앞에 마리나비치이고 스텝도 친절합니다. 조식도 괜찮았구요. 주변 상인들도 친절 그 자체였어요~^^

Friendly, helpful Greeks at their best!
We arrived to Hotel Rachel after a long day of travelling and was greeted by lovely Angelica and was served a welcoming glass of ouzo. During our 6 day stay Yanis was very helpful with recommendations of places to see and do. We accidently booked two nonrefundable nights extra, but Yanis went the extra mile and worked some magic to refund them anyway. All in all, you could not wish for more at a 2 star hotel out of season. I definitely recommend this hotel two people wanting to see Aegina.

Im Oktober ist Aegina ziemlich ausgestorben, nur wenige Restaurants/Bars sind geöffnet und die Busse fahren nicht sehr oft. Darum ist es zu dieser Zeit sehr ruhig, entspannend und familiär. Angelica und Jan sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit (ich wurde auch mal von ihnen mit dem Auto zum Tempel gefahren). Das Morgenessen hat eine grosse Auswahl. Das Meer in Aghia Marina ist wundervoll klar...

Pleasant hotel close to the sea and facilities
I had a very nice stay at Hotel Rachel during low season (end of September) for a low price. The owners are very kind and especially the breakfast (included) was great! I would recommend this hotel to everybody that wants to stay in Agia Marina at Agina. Agia Marina is a touristic village, but during low season it is very quiet. The Hotel is close to the sea and restaurants, taverna's and a mini-supermarket (around the corner).

Mycket trevligt Värdpar. Väldigt litet rum, men rent fick veta att det var ett av hotellets minsta. Återvänder gärna hit men ska då se till att få ett större rum.

Ευγενεστατο προσωπικό,ομως το δωμάτιο ηταν τοσο μικρό που δεν είχαμε άνεση για τα πράγματα.ευτυχως που μείναμε δυο μέρες!το κτήριο παλιό μοναδικό πλεονέκτημα η τοποθεσία που εχει πρόσβαση στα παντα με τα ποδια.χρειαζεται ανακαίνιση τουλαχιστον το δωμάτιο που μείναμε.σιγουρα ξεγελάστηκαμε απο την φωτογραφία στο διαδίκτυο σε σχέση με την πραγματική εικόνα!

Ich war in der Vorsaison da, trotzdem war sehr viel Lärm im Hotel. Das Gebäude ist sehr hellhörig, die Gäste (obwohl keine Jugendliche) sehr laut. Auch das Bett im Hotelzimmer war in einem so schlechten Zustand, dass es laut gequietscht hat bei jeder Bewegung. Das Personal war zwar sehr nett und das Frühstücksbuffet ganz in Ordnung, aber die Erholung, wegen der ich hingefahren bin, habe ich nicht gekriegt.

Great value for money
Lovely staff made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. A generous breakfast. A quiet, peaceful location. Accidentally booked in here, meaning to book a hotel on the other side of the island - best mistake we ever made. The local bus was cheap and easy and a great way to see the island.

Yep!
Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. I packed and planned poorly for this trip so I was a bit of a high-maintenance guest but Giannis was unfailingly patient and helpful with all my last-minute arranging. Internet service was also fast and reliable, which was a nice change from the standard advertised-but-barely-usable wifi provided in most hotels.

Hotel Rachel
The hotel is nothing fancy but it is clean and comfortable. The location is great. What really makes this hotel something special is the service. It is family owned and ran. The people there were very friendly and went out of their way to take care of any needs we had. Definitely a few steps above normal.

Very friendly, helpful owners
Very close to main beach, ( 30 seconds to walk) rooms are good, but they are small, I was alone and with my suitcase it was not easy to walk past the bed, they don't have anywhere to put the case except in the room. Breakfast was traditional Greek, coffee was strong and plentiful. It was quiet time of the year, you could hear outside noises easily.
