nice hotel, near a residential area where you can take a walk safely. Dining options driveable. Gas station across the street. Just in a very busy highway. Staff was friendly and facility was clean.

Very Clean
The hotel was very clean. Front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. Ask for a late checkout and it was given immediately! Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Room was clean. Great water pressure for those that crave it. Outlets in lamp didn’t work too well. Phone didn’t charge overnight. Great stay!

When you make a reservation far in advance, you should be able to get the room you ask for. I was provided the handicapped room, instead of the standard room I requested. The accessible room should be reserved for those who truly need it. I was also disappointed that the accessible room is at the far end of the first floor near a side exit where you hear people entering and exiting all night. I now know that in order to get a hotel room in Aiken, you have to reserve very far advance and check in early in order to get the room you want. The hotel is very nice and the staff were great, I just wish I got the room I asked for.

Was downgraded on rooms, and high noise levels
I stay at this hotel whenever I’m in Aiken. I was disappointed this time with a non-stop running toilet, and the front desk had nobody available to fix it, so I had to switch rooms. I was downgraded to a smaller room, and then one night I was there, the noise level overnight was beyond unacceptable. There was a huge group that made way too much noise in the lobby and running up and down the halls late at night. I got no sleep and had an early flight so that was less than fun. I did call the front desk and he said he’d ask them to quiet down. That was short lived. I understand a hotel can only do so much, but as much as I travel, I’d honestly say that noise level was some of the worst I’ve experienced and staff should be able to take action to prevent or minimize that kind of thing. I pay good money for a nice hotel and don’t want that level of noise. Ironically, on my last day, the toilet in the new room began running continuously too, just like the first room!

Check in procedure could be improved
Only concern was lack of early check in availability. I flew in the morning and wanted an early check in. I called the hotel multiple times in the week leading up to the reservation, including on the day of, and never got a straight answer if early check in was available, and if so, what time. I travel all the time and ask this question of hotels frequently. Sometimes it’s available, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it costs money, sometimes it doesn’t. The frustrating part was not getting a clear answer after 4-5 phone calls over the course of a week. Ultimately I was able to check in about an hour early, for a $10 fee. Compared to how other hotels handle this situation, that seemed unreasonable to me. Otherwise I have no complaints. Clean hotel, quality room, good location, etc

Home away from home.
I was treated very well by young lady who took care of me at the front . I did contact the front desk to get some . She was there in less than 5 minutes with my towels.
