The place is just beautiful. Clean, right on the beach. Great beach bar and cafe on either side. Our room was beautiful. Would DEFINTELY go back!!

Great view of the ocean from our room on the 2nd floor of the Beach House. It had a huge balcony which was nice. Shower and bathroom were great. The complimentary breakfast was decent. Our only complaint was the main door to the beach house had a spring that made the door slam which would reverberate through the building. Switch that mechanism for a soft close one and you’ve got a winner.

Eine wunderschöne Anlage. Toller Pool und Garten, in wenigen Minuten ist man am wunderschönen Sandstrand und in der Nähe sind einige Restaurants.

The property was clean but very noisy. The front door kept banging due to a faulty hinge making it noisy every time anyone going in and out of it. It made it impossible for us to sleep past 6am.

Hotel ok, Kommunikation flop
Schönes Hotel in guter Lage mit Familienzimmer, welches wir belegt haben. Das Zimmer verfügt über eine Empore, welche jedoch nicht für junge Kinder geeignet ist. Somit war es nicht vollständig nutzbar. Dies haben wir dem Hotel dann so mitgeteilt mit der Bitte das Zimmer gegen ein gewöhnliches zu tauschen und mit dem Nachwuchs im gleichen Bett zu schlafen. Leider war das Zimmer als Familie mit dreijährigem Kind das einzig online buchbare und gleich teuer/teurer als andere Zimmer mit besserem Blick/Lage. Jedoch bestand trotz ausreichend Verfügbarkeit keinerlei Flexibilität dieses Zimmer in der gleichen Preiskategorie ohne oder mit geteilter Kostenfolge zu tauschen, da wir laut Manager über Hotels.com gebucht hatten und die Kommission übernehmen sollten. Dies sollte jedoch nicht Sache des Kunden sein. Wir sind also enttäuscht ob der Kommunikationsweise und Art im gebuchten Zimmer geblieben. Ein Extrawunsch geäussert bei der Buchung zum glutenfreien Frühstück wurde ebenfalls ignoriert. Alles in allem werden wir hier sicher trotz schönem Hotel nicht mehr nächtigen.

Goregous hotel for Sagres Adventure
What a gorgeous hotel! We had an amazing time even if the weather was less than amazing. The facilities were great, especially the infinity pool! We would definitely stay again if we are ever in Sagres again.

Sjarmerende og flott hotell. Koselig nærområde men vær forberedt på en god del vind. Vi hadde et flott opphold, og kosa oss ved bassenget. Kommer nok ikke tilbake, da dette stedet egner seg best for surfere. Men fint å ha vært der, Sagtes fort var en flott opplevelse. Personalet burde hatt et smilekurs. Ingen varmmat på frokosten, men mye godt å velge mellom.

Wonderful stay in Sagres.
We loved Sagres and Mareta Beach Boutique Guest House. The room had a beautiful view, the pool was clean and lovely. Even their little pizza restaurant was delicious. We could not have been happier.

Truly wonderful place to stay!
The room was spacious, well furnished and very comfortable. The balcony overlooking the pool was a plus we didn’t expect, and we were able to enjoy the comfortable weather as well as the sights from that perspective. The breakfast was also quite good. I recommend this place highly. (The older gentleman working at the desk one morning — perhaps the owner? — was the only person we encountered in the whole town who was not pleasant.)

Tolle Lage, aus der man mehr machen könnte. Sauberkeit lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig, Frühstück gibts im Nachbarhaus in einem Kellerraum in überschaubarer Auswahl, welches man aber auf eine Terasse mit nach draußen nehmen kann

Excelente opção para Sagres. Dá pra ir à pé pra praia e pra Fortaleza de Sagres. O quarto atende super bem, é amplo, cama boa. Fiquei no primeiro andar e não tive problemas com a escada. A vista da piscina é surreal de linda. Café da manhã OK. Único ponto é a recepção que não atende 24hrs, então ficar atento ao horário de chegada, ou avisar previamente.

Mediocre motel with awful cold breakfast
This is one of the three Mareta Properties, the most expensive one. In reality they are all next to each other and served by same office and same meager breakfast. The property bills itself as boutique bed and breakfast - but it MOST CERTAINLY IS NOT. It’s just a regular hotel. Parking not available, you seek your own. Breakfast was truly awful - in the basement, without anything hot and just several plates of old meat cuts and equally old tomatoes and stale bread. The property has two restaurants serving breakfast on premises but for some bizarre reason - this is not where you eat breakfast. When asked for additional bread selection as breakfast, it took a manager involvement after a multiple “no more” reply by rude staff.

Very disappointed
On arriving the man at reception was not welcoming , I was kept waiting a longtime while he made a phone call. I had asked him if someone would help me with my bags as the room they had allocated me was not in the main building and there was no lift to the first floor. He eventually took my case & on pushing the door open with his foot he let it close in my face. My first night was a disaster, I awoke at 4.00 am with a sore throat, headache & feeling nauseous. The bathroom was smelling dreadful of sewage/drains. I had to put the air conditioning on to try and circulate some air. I didn’t go to the reception at that time because I didn’t want to walk outside to get to the main building at that time of the morning. The following morning I complained and asked to be moved for my additional two nights. A charming receptionist was very helpful & I was given another room later that day. I asked her to tell the manager/owner that I wouldn’t expect to be charged the full rate for a room in that dreadful condition. On checking out I asked if My card had been credited. The receptionist said she had told Flavia Graca the Owner/manager about my request but was told I had stayed in the room the first night and it had been pre-paid so there would be no refund of any amount. I have stayed in this hotel many times over the last 6 years, sadly they now seem concerned about making money and not giving a service to their clients. I wont be recommended them to friends anymore.

Mareta is nicer than the photos show. We were pleasantly surprised. Very cosy, charming ambience; comfortable large beds. Right off the Mareta beach and close to nice restaurants. Very nice and helpful staff. Rent bicycles from the inn to explore the area, the best way to see the area. I wish we had stayed in Sagres longer, the travel books didn't do the area or town justice.

Beautiful beach hotel
Cute little hotel with a pool overlooking the beach. We were here during off season so it was very quiet and had time at the pool by ourselves. The beds are very comfortable and service was great. Even better was that breakfast was included!

Dette var et fantastisk opphold. Rommet var rent, stort og med veldig gode senger. Stor balkong med solsenger. Veldig god service. Moro å se på alle surferne. Et eldorado for surfere. Mange små intime restauranter i området. Var ute på Sagres fort som også var en opplevelse med sine bratte klipper og sjø som slo over klippene. Vært et besøk på fortet. Kun 3euro PR.voksen for å komme inn. Ingenting å si på prisen. Prisen på hotellet var verdt det 160 euro for 2 netter med frokost .

Amazing place in Sagres
Very nice place to stay, the room was super nice and clean. Amazing view from the room, eventhough our room was located next to the parking area it was very quiet and we could sleep without any noise. In the morning we could see the sunrise from our bed. It doesn’t get any better than that. Absolutely amazing.

A night away
Booked this last minute as we wanted to visit Sagres. We had an amazing time, pool was great, not too crowded, the poolside bar was well appointed and provided a great insight as to the local area. Only suggestion for improvement would be the breakfast as it’s done in the basement. The coffee shop outside is awesome and I would have rather saved the breakfast fee and eaten there. The staff were very friendly and helped retrieve my wallet that I had left at the service station en route. Overall an excellent stay and would happily recommend.
