No hot water for one night, couldn’t charge food and drink to room with out paying separately, very very dated. Staff are fantastic and the only way this place stays open.

The bedroom was tatty and very small. It was badly in need of a refurbishment as did all the corridors and stars are. The general approach and appearance of the building is of a run diwn property.

The receptionist made a mistake about the booking thinking I’d only booked one room whereas I’d booked two. She only believed me when I showed her the confirmation email. Otherwise ok

Cheap and cheerful
This is fine for a business trip or stay when on a budget. The rooms I booked were £56 each so they were fine. There is evidence of black mould on the ceilings and tiles of the bathrooms and one of the chairs in one of the rooms had a very ugly stain on it which I avoided sitting on. The bed is comfortable. There is a desk to work at and the lighting is good. The curtain in one of the rooms was off the track so had to repair that myself. Very nice reception and bar area.

In regards to the heating this is something the hotel has not been made aware of, the heating system is on a cycle. However I am happy to get maintenance to go and investigate the room you were in so we can fix the issue. Kind Regards

Highly disappointed about "low standards" of hotel room - room was nothing like photo on expedia site. Bed had a Wooden headboard& so uncomfortable - noisy could even hear people using toilet next door & toilet flushing in the night !!. Windows had excessive condensation & no air con" Old style shower with mixer taps, over a bath. Bed smaller than average hotel size of double-bed . Stain on chair. Leaking toilet cistern. Church bells were very loud- 9am til 9.30am, on a Sunday woke me up - i would not stay here ever again. Told reception staff on check out but no offer of any discount of £51 i had paid before arrival. Should of asked for a refund & moved to a different hotel when i first saw the room.

The photos on Expedia show that the hotel had wooden headboards, I do apologize if this was not something you were expecting. We do not advertise as having aircon however if you wished the reception are more than happy to provide a fan when needed and bring this to the guest bedroom. I have put this room onto maintenance checklist to go inside and have a look at these additional issues you have mentioned. Football stay
Regularly stay here when attending Manchester United home games. Good value with easy parking and very near to town center. Excellent ram service into Manchester. Beer a little pricey in the hotel but there are nearby alternatives. Breakfast OK.

Not the best stay.
checkin was quick and easy had a minor issue with the room reported it and was offerd a room swap which i declined as it was nothing major. Me and my dad had a room each and from checkin to check out our rooms were not serviced at all. on one trip back to reception to ask for more tea milk n sugar i mentioned that the rooms had not been serviced i was asked if i had let reception know on my way out (i hadnt) but as hotels.com list daily house keeping i didnt see any need to. upon checkout the receptionist did not ask how our stay was or if there is anything wrong with the room etc i basically had to inturupt her to mention that a bulb had gone in the table lamp (only that night).

Over the Christmas period all guests were notified that one Christmas day the hotel gave the house keeping team the day off so they would spend it with friends and family. Should you of required service the hotel reception team were more than happy to help with this. Daily house keeping is offered, however as the hotel is eco friendly and this is advertised throughout, guests are asked to inform a member of staff should they wish for their room to be daily cleaned. I do apologies that this caused you distress during your stay and want to assure you the hotel will strive to do better. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Stay here regularly and usually fine. This time though no heating in room. Reception did provide an electric heater but really should not have been necessary in first place. Some kind of gesture / apology would have been appreciated,

I will be speaking to the reception team as this is not the customer service the hotel aims to provide and this will be rectified. Our heating is on a timer throughout the day and night but can be amended to suit the guests needs should they require.
