Hotel precioso,un poco alejado
Hotelito nuevo muy agradable.la cena esta muy bien, aunque no hay que tener prisa porque tardan una hora en servirla

Fantastic stay!
Wonderful place and fantastic food. We had to find a place to stay before an early AM flight and they were even able to arrange for a 4AM transfer to the airport. Highly recommended!

OUTSTANDING
My wife and I had a great stay at the Zawadi house. We were met at the reception by Yvonne, Nicholas, and Afti. We felt welcomed instantly. They did everything they could to make her stay comfortable and succeeded at every turn. I highly recommend this hotel and it's staff. If I get back to Arusha I will certainly stay there again.

Not a four star hotel
It was too overpriced for the room we got and for it’s 4-star renown. It needs renovation, specially the bath. Otherwise it has warm water, ok wi-fi. The staff are helpful to arrange a taxi.

Property is run down. It’s not what it looks like in the pictures. Also the reviews for this property appears to be bogus. In the USA this property would get a 1 star rating. No microwave or refrigerator in the room. Plus points are good service, clean and safe room

Great and unique environment. Fantasticx friendly staff. Rooms have essential amenities like USB port charging. Only drawback would be its location, which is a bit out of the town and away from key locations in town.

Im Allgemeinen schönes Hotel. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, die Anlage sauber. Das Frühstück klassisch Continental. Allerdings scheint der allgemeine Zustand etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lage ist rund 3km vom Zentrum mit dem Taxi/tuktuk oder Mototaxi gut zu erreichen. Sehr zu empfehlen für 1 bis 2 Nächte vor oder nach Safari/Wanderung. Hotel selbst bietet Tagesaktivitäten an.

Tranquil Hideaway
Tranquil Tropical Hideaway Cozy secluded tropical lodge filled with welcoming staff who clearly took pride in their lodge and their country. Edwin the driver and guide went out of his way to help us feel welcome and assisted us to recover our lost luggage with his persistence in calling the airline as well as making a special trip to rendezvous with our suitcases on the way to safari. Lucky welcomed us warmly and managed the details of our staff and communications efficiently. Victor kept our room clean and comfortable as we rested during the rain and recovered from jet lag. Eric feed us well morning and evening! Do not miss his delicious chicken soup! We hope to return soon.

Stayed here in total 2 night, the night before and after the safari. It is ok to stay here, but I do not recommend anybody to eat dinner here, because the service is to be honest really bad and terribly slow (over an 1 hour to get the food)

Great Arusha base
This is an excellent place to stay in Arusha pre/post safari or Kili climb. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and excellent value for money.

Friendliest staff, comfortable rooms, great price
Fantastic stay, great price. The staff there all went out of their way to help us and emanated the friendliness and smiling culture of all the Tanzanian people we met. Especially shout out to Emanuel and Edward at the front desk, and the chef who made sure we were all fed. Don’t expect the expedient service you’re used to in the western world. But does it matter when you’re on holiday? It’s made up for by the attention and care and the way they all want to ensure you have the best experience of their country.

Basic and comfortable
The staff here were lovely, couldn’t do enough for you. The grounds were lovely and we had a good meal. The room was a bit run down but clean. It’s off the main road a bit and a good bit outside of Arusha. It suited us fine as we were getting taxi to the airport the next morning but the road from the main road to the hotel isn’t really a road. Very basic accommodation (by western standards) and comfortable.

Great value!! Highly recommended.
Zawade House Lodge was a lovely oasis amongst the busyness of the big city of Arusha. The grounds are well cared for, the quaint stylish lodge attractive and the rooms very comfortable. To top it off the staff are amazingly hospitable and kind. They ensured our stay was a good one!

Horrible
The bedsheets smelled like they had not been cleaned, the room was dirty and had spiders in various corners, the wifi never worked, and despite being assured we could pay with CC their machine was not working. The best part of the stay was the food which was good local food, however aside from that, we would never go back.

Cost a lot more than expected but was beautiful
Aside from the "free" airport shuttle actually being 120usd...which they did discount but even with emails and website didn't waiver...the place was great. Be ready for everything to be expensive then you'll enjoy your trip. I'd advise confirming total prices of everything before arriving in writing including tours

Thank you for your feedback, We normally charge $60 for a shuttle service from Kilimanjaro Airport to our lodge. It appears that there was a misunderstanding regarding transport cost during your visit. We will ensure that such misunderstandings do not happen again in the future.
