No secure Wi-Fi and too slow to use. TV remote did not match TV, was not a smart TV, and had cable. Could not scroll through programs. In short, there was no entertainment that night.

Overall this was a nice 2 night stay for the price. Beds were comfortable, mini fridge came in handy, bathroom was clean but small.

This motel was actually perfect for what we needed - just a place to stop and sleep for the night on a longer road trip. The property was obviously recently renovated. The beds were really comfortable, and overall the room was clean, BUT it smelled like an ashtray. Like it had been inhabited by chain smokers for 10 years and never cleaned. So that sucked.

clean but had mice that got into my food that was in a bag and no apologies nor partial refund, nothing! Male manager was rude from the get go. would not visit again. No pets allowed but people living in the establishment had monkeys and a dog.

During check-in I could not see the final bill, and the clerk said he would email me my receipt. I told him I preferred it right then and he printed it out for me. The room was very clean, bed very soft, small refrigerator, very small microwave. ALL very good and nice. The only other negative was that the sink was very slow to drain. Over the past 25 years, I have stayed here perhaps six times. The Asheville Inn has always been a refreshing place to stay, decent prices with very quiet and clean rooms!

You get what you pay.
Not clean. Bedspread had stains and had to sweep the floor when we arrived. Also there was a large gap underneath the door and the water was very slow to run out of the sink. There was an ice bucket but didn't see anywhere to get ice. No towel rods for after showering.

Room reeked of smoke. Flush handle came off toilet. Not even a room coffee maker. When I went to desk to say handle fell off, was treated rudely. Had to fight for refund to cancel second prepaid night.

This was overall OK. Inside had enough space and convenient storage, mini fridge, microwave. You have to be rung into the office which makes the area seem pretty sketchy (it’s right off a major road kind of down in a pit). They had Wi-Fi but it didn’t work and wouldn’t even connect to one of my devices. There was something weird and scaly in the bathroom sink (think shrimp skin) that I had to pull out with scissors. The bed was comfy (and extra tall, I had to climb in tho I am average size) and the noise was minimal so that was nice. I tried working at the desk but the desk is so high that when I sat it’s impossible to use with the provided chair. Overall lukewarm to the place, but it was cheap so there’s that.

This was a super cute, renovated hotel/motel. The staff at the front was so nice and the room was very clean. It worked great for our one night before we got to our final travel destination.

A little sketch, but ok overall
It’s not super clean and a lot of “landlord special” attempts at remodels in room and bathroom, but gets the jobs done if you need a place to sleep at night. Accidentally turned the heat on and it smelled like fire. Little gnats flying out of the sink, but no smells. Clean bedding. Lights were SO BRIGHT and no lamps, which bad it tough to wind down for sleep. Shower itself was SO NICE but there was no curtain or even a place to hang one? Water all over floor. No drain and clearly mildewing around perimeter middle of bathroom floor. No bad smell though. Janky tile but that’s just aesthetic. Man at the desk was incredibly rude and unfriendly from the second we walked in. Very aggressive room service at checkout time. Not the best stay but would recommend if you need a cheap place to rest your head and don’t have the highest standards to begin with. Pretty good value overall.

Won’t return, left after one night
It was not clean, there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom when I arrived. When I checked in, my room with two queen beds wasn’t available so I had a king bed. Not what I asked for, told I could move in the morning. I saw them cleaning the rooms and throwing the bedsheets in the dirty parking spots, on the concrete. Not a very clean way to treat the bedsheets we sleep on.

A wonderful stay! The room was very clean! Even though it is a budget stay, they obviously make an effort with accommodations-nice soaps, cleanliness, huge tv, comfy bed. If you are looking for a place to stay in Asheville, stay here!

Location disappointing. Several panhandlers around and motel. Didnt feel safe around motel. Room was great and clean. Staff couldnt understand prices to high for location. Will not stay again.

Smoky night
When we got this location and went inside the room it smelled like pure smoke. When the policy says no smoking 100%. Went downstairs and told the receptionist she told us that she will help me out, i asked how. She said she will switch my room or give us a full refund. Once again, smelledlike smoke. We have kids and a baby that are asmatic. Its unacceptable for us. When i went downstairs again and said to give me the full refund she looked shocked but said fine. I saw her writing my card information plus exp date and cvv numbers. She didn't look trustworthy at all.

I don’t understand the need for this review, we gave your money back 100%. You didn’t like our rooms we get it. Also as for writing your card info we don’t need to do that it’s already in the system. So I have no idea where you’re coming up with these ridiculous theory’s.

Look elsewhere, seriously
Minor issues during check in, staff when they noticed we were there acted rudely. Room was NOT AT ALL like the photos online once viewed in person. The room felt dirty, and looked it. The floor felt nasty underfoot, the linens/pillow cases had stains, and the towels were stained as well. Truly, the real life example of putting lipstick on a pig. It might look appealing, but it’s still a nasty pig. Oh yea, there’s also no shortage of homeless and drug addicts wandering around outside. Not a mile down the road, like 50 feet from your door. Speaking of which, there’s security lock from the inside of the room.

Kaitlin, sorry for your experience. we will try to do a better job. as for not being what the rooms look like we have done our best to distinguish each room type. as far as the homeless issue we have expressed the same concern to the city of Asheville. unfortunately our city council doesn't really care much about the issue and is out of our control. You should write to the Mcdonald staff who keeps feeding them, so they stay on that corner.

Comfortable but spare.
Our room was clean and comfortable and there are no major complaints. Oddly, a few small things were absent, like any hooks in the bathroom on which to hang towels or clothes, nor was there any other place in the room to hang anything. Coats and clothes had to be draped over the chair or across suitcases or the bed...

I RENTED A ROOM ON LINE AT RED ROOF WENT TO CHECK IN AND THEY TURNED ME DOWN SAID THEY COULD NOT RENT TO ME BECAUSE OF SMOKING AT THAT TIME I DID NOT EVEN SMOKE. THAT WAS A LIE AND VERY DISHONEST OF THE HOYSEKEEPERS IM HIGHLY UPSET.

The door did not lock and could not be fixed while I was there, so that was an uncomfortable feeling.The whole room smelled like smoke. I had to buy an air freshener in order to combat that. I had no soap in the bathroom.
