At the time there was construction going on which we were awear of. However we didnt know that it was right in the lobby where you have breakfast and dinner when booking on expedia. The noise was excruciating. We were right next to the workers with only a half height wall blocking them. There was nail guns, hammer drills and bench saws which were going constantly. I felt bad for the staff which should have been wearing ear protection being right next to it all day. Not good work safety practices. We could hardly hear the staff talk over the noise and had to yell at eachother. However, the staff were lovely, very nice and professional.The spa needs re tiling as it has mold growing in places.
Also needs a paint job as the paint on the roof in our room and in other places was peeling off and cracked.
Dissapointed as this was our first holiday in a while and was looking forward to having a relaxing trip.

We had a good stay however was disappointed with the fact that the light in the wardrobe was unable to turn off. We had to get a staff member up at 1:00 in the morning and they also couldn’t figure it out so we had to hang the bathrobes over it to try and sleep

We didn't like that parking was not included in the hotel and that we had to pay an expensive overnight fee for Auckland parking on top of the hotel.. the parking we were suggested to go too was not secure.. we ended up parking 1.5 km away over at spark arena carpark...

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everytime I tried to phone the desk I had to call multiple times to get someone to answer. Once we got our food ordered though it came in good time. Hotel was nice, the carpet in our room was older and therfore a bit discoloured/stained, but the bed, TV and furniture was all updated. We had a nice stay!

Barely slept at all due to couple next door being extremely loud all night. Didn’t stop for hours, hotel staff couldn’t really do anything. Walls way too thin we could hear EVERYTHING. Wouldn’t bring kids, don’t know what your neighbours will be up to. Room was dusty. Comfy pillows, loved the pool. Left super tired not well rested at all!

The breakfast buffet was a large disappointment.
When you pay $46.00 each for breakfast you expect more.
Bacon was undercooked, no omelet station, limited hot selections, I am accustomed to much better at a Marriot property.

Nice hotel but don’t use the stairs!!
Our 2 day stay was before our cruise. The staff was very helpful and friendly; however; what is alarming to me is that as we often do we decided to use the stairs next to the guest elevators. No signs told us we shouldn’t. The doors to get out of the stairwell were all locked. We were on the 8th floor and had to go down to the very bottom floor. We were not able to find our way out and we ended-up unknowingly in the service elevator; and locked in there too. A hotel employee found us, assured us we weren’t locked in the stairwell meant for guests. He took us to the stairwell for guests; and he became locked in the stairwell. This is a fire hazard!! Not to mention down right scary with no proper signs to warn of the consequences of using stairs instead of the elevator! I hope your hotel attends to this problem promptly. I know after talking to staff this is a real problem you need to address.

room was run down and expensive for what you get we paid $452 no breakfast or parking and standard twin room. Room service is expensive $82 for two eggs bene and a juice
Layout of room is also oddd mirror and wardrobe right by the side of the bed so you can’t utilise it

Room in bad condition
Maybe I did not get the renovated room but the one I was in was dated and in a bad condition. The toilet door has started to rot at the bottom. The hairdryer was damaged. The mirror with lights short circuited and it "explored" with a loud sizzle. The toilet is fitted with motion sensor lights and it was really annoying to have the lights switched off automatically when I was on the middle of a shower! For the price, I can definitely get better stay some where nearby. Service was good and location is great.

Very transparent blinds with no curtains meant we were woken up just after sunrise with light streaming through. There was also some sort of party at a building across the street which was extremely noisy with music blaring and people shouting really loud until 1/2am

Old infrastructure
The hotel had really friendly staff.
Down side was the hotel room.
The room had thin walls. we could hear everything happening in the adjacent rooms. A couple was staying in room 810 during thr last night we stayed, and we could hear them in the night.
The problem was vice versa too. The guy in the same room during the first two nights we stayed was banging on our wall because he could hear our tv which was at 18% of its sound and we couldn't even talk in a casuual sound level because he could hear us and complained to us about that.
