Weekend Trip
My husband and I visited Baker City for a weekend get away to visit family. We stayed at the Palmer House Apt 2. Very clean and comfortable place! We enjoyed the wonderful coffee and fresh baked bread they had for us when we arrived. Prior to our arrival I had a question for our hosts and texted Blake who responded back right away, so communication was great as well. We also had our dog, Steve in tow and he had a great time too! We really enjoyed our stay at the Palmer House and look forward to staying here again.

Lovely stay
We had a great stay. Very clean and welcoming apartment. Great place to stay in the middle of baker city. My two dogs loved the backyard area. Would definitely stay again.

Nice.
Received instructions to access green apt door. My access code did not work which required a call to the host. He informed me the instructions I received were wrong and I should access the yellow door. Once inside there was a chirping sound similar to a smoke alarm battery dieing. Host seemed skeptical and came to the unit. It ended up being a carbon monoxide detector. He removed it completely. After that the stay was comfortable. I would suggest not pre-cooking the bread but providing the premixed dough (or nothing at all). The bread was hard as a rock and the smell upon entering the unit was not enjoyable as you might think. Neighborhood seems to be in transition. Nice but older.

Hello Kathy, We apologize for your less than satisfactory experience. We have reviewed the check-in instructions to ensure they are correct. The carbon monoxide detector was at the end of its life-cycle and It was replaced the very next day. It's unfortunate about the bread, as we receive many compliments for the fresh baked bread at our homes. Thank you for your valuable insight into improving the experience for our future guests.

Wonderful historic charm.

Don’t Miss This One
Who wouldn’t say the Palmer House is a charmer? Who wouldn’t “unwind” with the fragrance of freshly baked bread greeting them as they open the door to this lovely accommodation? Who wouldn’t be delighted at the perfect size, the cleanliness and the furnishings of this home away from home? Not me. Not me. Not me. And the hosts welcomed my 4 legged travel partner! We immediately walked to town and two hours later walked back to get dinner. I fell in love with Baker City and Palmer House. This was a great place for a weekend getaway. It was in a nice neighborhood just 2 blocks from the heart of Baker City. Had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Would def stay again!

Ski Weekend
Our family enjoyed the visit and stay at the Palmer house. Property is well maintained and taken care of. We had to change plans and property owner was flexible and accommodating. We will definitely recommend this property to friends for future trips.

Perfect ending to our trip
After spending a week in various hotels during our holiday trip, this location was the perfect way to cap off our vacation. Easy check in process, very comfortable, and so close to everything we needed in the area.

Cozy apartment with freshly baked bread!
We stayed here on our way from Seattle to Boise. The smell of freshly baked bread and the sound of music playing was very welcoming. Very cute place, loved the machine by the bed that plays relaxing sounds (ocean, rain, etc.) If we ever make this road trip again, we would definitely stay here again!

Excellent furnishings
Plenty of power strips and multi-device charging station. Love the nightlight by the bed that also is a flashlight. Nice touch to have fresh-baked bread and butter upon arrival. Great location for walking to Main St. , arts center, river walk, etc. Clean and comfortable.

Great little studio. Walking distance to downtown. Cute kitchen, comfortable bed.
We enjoyed the stay. The studio was fairly roomy for a studio, with an great shower/bathroom, cute kitchen with good coffee and home made bread. Note that the second bed option really is just a very large sectional that has a couple extra cushions that pop up to form a big couch square. My companions did not complain, but it is not like a true Murphy bed with a mattress. Perfect for a couple getting away for a weekend. The mattress on the bed is super comfortable. Memory foam that is firm but soft and supportive at the same time. I’d actually like to know what brand of mattress it is…. Check in is super easy with the key codes, and check in screen in the room. Owners are great, was able to easily arrange a late checkout over text in a just a few minutes. Would stay here again.
