The staff are so friendly and the food is very good. The attention to detail was first class a real warm and friendly experience. This hotel is head and shoulders above the other hotels in the area. A great find.

Very nice room although on the small side and the steep steps to the rooms with numerous doors to negotiate wasn't easy. Unfortunately the window would not open it would have been nice to have a little fresh air over night. Lovely meal at the pub downstairs and we were lucky to get overnight parking right outside the building, very central.

Comfortable and convenient
Comfortable and convenient location for visiting the area - particularly Battle Abbey which is opposite. We enjoyed eating in the restaurant too.

Nice place in the middle of Battle
Lovely warm greeting by the staff when I arrived, told me where I could find things and time for breakfast etc. Have stayed in the past and will do so again

A Great Place
It was a very pleasant experience. The room was cozy and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the battle area

I loved the position of the hotel. The views from the front were lovely. I was shocked by the noise on the saturday night from the live music. Fortunately, it all stopped after 11pm( something to think about if you've got young children)

One of the best stays ever
Stayed for three nights with my young puppy and really enjoyed it. Very kind and helpful staff, especially Max, Sarah and Rachel in the bar restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere in the place was superb. Travelling alone, I felt very welcome and will definitely go back next time I’m in UK.

Great stay…
We had a quick check in on arrival and escorted to our room which was really quirky. Being over 6ft the bathroom presented some issues especially if I wanted to take a shower but it didn’t bother me as we loved the place and the area. Not many places sit in front of an actual castle. The pub/bistro underneath was really good and breakfast was lovely. Everyone was as friendly as you’d want on a break.

Last minute break
Had a lst minute stay to meet up with friend she had mentioned hotel before so thought we d give a go. Very pleasant ,room a bit small but comfortable.staff lovely and helpful breakfast huge and included in price as well so good value for money parking very cheap as well .👍👍

Short stay
The staff at the Abbey Hotel were so kind,friendly and welcoming and there was a lovely log fire burning which made the lounge so cosy. We were given room 4 just for the one night but there was only a small window overlooking a side wall and two velux windows so it was really dark during the day.Also there were steps down from inside the bedroom door to the room itself which would not suit anyone with a disability. The decor and quality overall were of a high standard and we did enjoy our short stay there.

Superb gem in the centre of Battle
This is a great small hotel (only 8 rooms) run by super friendly team. Ideally situated in the centre of Battle with a number of attractions nearby (unless you don't have the time as you're there on business!). The pub/restaurant is wonderfully welcoming and the food is superb - great home cooked fare with locally sourced produce - we didn't bother going anywhere else, and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We will definitely come back!

Does not look like the picture.it is next door to the abbey. But when you go inside its really nice. amazing staff really friendly and can't do enough. AMAZING FOOD. Rooms clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again.

Lovely old hotel next to the Abbey. Great breakfast included in price. Smallish room with standard double bed as well as a searing hot night made sleeping difficult despite fan being provided. Nonetheless a good experience overall

I was expecting breakfast but found out on arrival that due to covid there was no kitchen staff. Probably not all there fault but on hotels.com it was listed as breakfast.
