Mr. Rivera, We inspected the room, and the mattress and we did not find any evidence of bed bugs. We offered to move you to a different room, but you declined our offer to move, so why stay in a room if you suspect bedbugs? Maybe because there weren't any?

This is a very quiet place to stay and within walking distance of the grocery store. Rooms are a little outdated but clean.

Front desk attendant was rude when asked if they offered a contractor rate. Room was dated and janky. There was a horrible smell in the hallways- enough to put you off your meals. Bed was springy and hard. Towels looked dirty and were different shades of off white. I heard sex noises numerous times during my stay, leading me to wonder if there is a prostitution issue. Hotel is way too expensive for all the issues I’ve stated. Manager also seems to be incredibly hostile in their replies to guests who leave a review stating their issues. That should be the first deterrent from staying at this hotel.

Did not get chance to even stay o didn’t no deposit required and I drove all the way from Richmond Tx at pm at that. I am a regular customer and did not know rule changed since last two visits. No refund so I just lost my freaking money on a room I never got to see.

Hi Danita, I am so sorry about your recent visit and the confusion over the room incidentals charge. We have always charged an incidental of 50.00, we just never enforced it until now. My desk agent was doing his job and what he was told. It does list our policies and fees inside the Expedia app, if you scroll all the to the bottom, you will find it there, you also made a non-refundable, non-cancelation reservation. I advise all travelers, always to read over everything before confirming your reservation, because changes do happen, and happen often. We do hope you will give us another try.

I like the location, being close to the freeway and next door to a supermarket. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Didn’t like the condition of the property, the sink had a crack on it, and the fan in the bathroom was loud. Outdated everything at least thirty years old.

Hi Elizabeth! What was it that you did not like about our hotel? Did it not meet your aesthetics, or because it is an older hotel? You paid 47.00 for the room, and for that rate I have to say, our hotel is pretty darn decent compared to many others, some charging up to 100.00 per night is not as nice as our hotel. Our rooms are exceptionally clean, we have a great staff, affordable rates. We are a very simple and basic hotel, no frills, but we do have nice bed linens, coffee pots, microwaves, and refrigerators, what more do you need, for one night of rest? Our hotel was built in 1978 so we do understand that it is a little outdated, however, you picked us!

The property is old and rundown. The best thing about it is that it was clean. It had a chemical clean smell not like bleach but more like oven cleaner and comercial stainless cleaner that gave me a headache and Pledge. I placed a white shirt on the wooden counter and it soaked up whatever cleaner was used and left an oily stain in my shirt. The only ice machine was on level 4. The door looked like it had been kicked in and repaired several times and the ceiling was peeling. I never felt unsafe but it was sketchy at times. I was not the worst place I ever stayed but in the top 5. I saw a lady going from car to car in the parking lot on Friday. Not sure if she was scoping them out or if someone was in them and she was looking for something else. When i checked in on Friday i asked about late check out and the guy told me I could check out at noon. Check out is 11AM. On Sunday housekeeping was knocking at 10:58AM and then someone else at 11:16AM asking if i was leaving or staying. She said checkout was at 11 when I explained I was told I had till noon. She said no note was left but she said very harshly that noon was ok. I felt like it was an inconvenience so I left. I don't really know what they were voted Best of the Best 2023 for. The best thing I did was go next door and get info for that hotel for next time.

Real potential to be a 10/10 hotel with some work
There is a lot to be wanted here. I should have been harsher but the staff were generally nice. A lot seems to be staffing or management issues as the furniture is new and not cheap either. Sofa bed had food and trash in and under it. Bathroom floor was scuffed in dirt. Shower did not even work as water handle wasn't even attached. If it was only the shower I would say things happen but either staff or policy 100% cause the dirty sofa bed and bathroom floors. It was a very cheap hotel to stay at but has so much potential for how nice the tables, beds, lights, tv, fridge center all were. It really just needs to be cleaned and maintained better.

My pregnant daughter, husband and 1 year old was traveling home to San Antonio and got tired on the travel so me being the mother I paid for them a room so they could sleep a few hours before getting back on road the rude man at front would not key them check In until 5 am and charged 40)$ early check in fee so we paid over 100$ for a few hours sleep

What a pleasant surprise. This hotel had good beds, well remodeled rooms, and it was squeaky clean! There was zero mold or odors. The sheets and towels were freshly washed. Every other budget hotel needs to take lessons from here. I will stay again. Even if it means driving an additional two hours. Thank you for a correct American hotel!

First thing anyone looking to book a room here is that the photos are unbelievably misleading. They took pics of the only descent area of the hotel which leads you to believe it's comparable to the Cotton Exchange in New Orleans or something similar. Don't let it fool you it's a dump and people are sitting around in the halls as if it were a hostel. Second it states it is pet friendly. The arrogant little guy running the place tried to argue with us that our service dog could not stay. When I tried to explain it was against the law for him to do so, he ignorantly started telling me he knows the rules in his hotel. Well buddy, you should really learn the difference in hotel rules and disability laws😉 You should call your local ADA office and once your done educating yourself on that you should really turn your attention to the roach problem. To be fair the bed was comfortable and the room was big. It was fully furnished and had everything we needed. The only other issue we had is they were excessively knocking on the door to make sure we knew when checkout was. Overall opinion... if your a single guy looking for something and nothing else is available, it's ok for last resort booking. If your a nice couple with children sleep suck it up and drive until you find something else available. Don't bring your children here.

In fact, I understand you liked the layout so much that you rearranged the furniture to better suit your needs.However, I feel compelled to clarify a few points:1. Checkout Time: Our standard checkout time is 11 AM. You were notified because it was past 12:30 PM, and we had a new reservation for the room.2. Common Areas: We take pride in providing various sitting areas throughout the hotel for guests to relax and socialize. These spaces are appreciated by many and are intended to enhance the guest experience.3. Pet Policy: While we are pet-friendly, we must remind all guests that service animals are required to be leashed in public areas as per hotel policy. Your dog was not leashed and was running around, which is against our guidelines.4. ADA Compliance: I assure you that our team is knowledgeable about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and we are committed to providing accessible facilities for our guests.5. Pest Control: We take all comments about cleanliness and maintenance seriously and will investigate your claims.Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We use feedback like yours to continuously improve our services.

Looks like this place used to be the hot spot back in the day has a banquet hall and everything restaurant and bar but everything is closed down not bad for the price if you get it cheap

Thank you, Jared, we're happy that your stay was a good one! The banquet rooms are fully operational and we stay booked up for the event spaces, we have 6 in total, however, we closed the bar and restaurant years ago, the restaurant will come back, but not the bar, which brings too much trouble, and it's a headache, lol!
