casa con encanto aunque un pelín anticuada
Las zonas comunes y la ubicación son muy buenas. Bonitas vistas desde la habitación, rincones con sofás y muebles de madera en los que compartir un rato agradable. La habitación que nos dieron necesita una actualización (mesillas, puertas, etc). El desayuno excelente: embutido y ensalada, tostadas, creêpes y café.

Old showers as well as the rest of the furniture. In our room on the last floor it was high humidity and cold, as a result we got a flu and had to move out of the establishment completely in order to get better.

I had a nice balcony. But I had to go up 4 flights of stairs continually. I couldn’t get parked one night as all the spaces were full and the guy on the desk was particularly unhelpful and said I needed to park elsewhere and pay which wasn’t true. I didn’t have to pay on a side street across the Road. My bathroom still had hair on the floor from a previous guest and the bed rocked and creaked all night. It was convenient for the old Brasov Town centre and the shopping centre. It served my purpose but I won’t stay there again hopefully

Thank you dear Kingsley for your review, The guest house has only 3 levels , so you couldn't have climbed 4 :) The parking across the street is a public paid parking. If you did not get a fine, it's lucky but it's a paid parking , not free. We are sorry about your concern with the cleaning and we assure you we take great care in disinfecting and cleaning the room, so we'll conduct an investigation regarding your experience. Rustikal und gemütlich
Ist eine schöne Pension. Alt aber fein. Service alles Ok! Leider gibt es nicht genug Parkplätze und so mussten wir das Auto gegenüber auf einen kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz abstellen. Es ist sehr viel Verkehr auf der Straße vor der Pension.

NICE STAY
This place was nice, good location, close to many attractions, rooms are ok, maybe a bit old school if you want, but beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean and big. Overall, a positive experience for the price.

We booked this hotel because we stayed previously in the hotel the same company runs in Cristian, Sibiu thinking we would find same quality. This hotel is terribly basic and outdated, with NO ELEVATOR so we had to carry the bahgages on steps to the 4th floor and NO AIR CONDITIONING, it was so hot and had to sleep with open windows and a noisy street. This should not be rated 3 stars, it is a shame shame shame. Paying 120euros/night for this crap place is really sad, real shame for the owners.

What is good: 1) It's not a terrible property. 2) Prices are good. 3) It feels relatively safe and though it looks run down and needs some TLC, it's okay. What they could improve: 1) Provide fans in every room. We got one after asking, but it was HOT and muggy in our room and too loud by street to leave stuff open 2) Cheer up that crabby man who serves breakfast and is so rude 3) Laundry- when a customer has laundry you don't give them a trash bag and no slip and tell them to drop it off. I ended up hand writing a list and the laundry was done well BUT it was extra work for me and tacky. 4) Get Do Not Disturb signs, people want them. Don't say you have them when you don't. 5) When the US Army is there occupying the entire breakfast lounge, make other space available or tell other customers we can take our food to our room. We were unsure of rules and crabby breakfast man was no help 6) More than one tiny trash can in bathroom TIPS: 1) there is no elevator- so prepare to march up hot stairs 2) This hotel does not have a bar- it has a seating area where the front desk person can leave their space, run in, mix you a drink and run back to work. Bar area is hot when it's warm out 3) there's a GREAT restaurant just a couple doors down that the front desk didn't even mention. it has a tree in the open courtyard center- great food and super help.

Great hotel in Brasov
Great location, super hotel for the price we paid. The breakfast was more than plenty, with a lot of options. Staff was helpful and courteous. The only problem we had was finding a reserved parking spot sometimes. The hotel offered to pay for metered parking, but it was not expensive. Will definitely stay there again.

good hotel in brasov
its a good place to spend a night or two. they have parking, which is good. because finding parking in brasov was tough. the room was clean, beds were too small, the bathroom for some reason had 3 little windows looking at every direction, there was no way to cover the windows as they didn't have any blinds, so going to the bathroom, and taking a shower was kind of weird... the hotel echoes a lot, so even the smallest noise sounded very loud. Staff was great! they had a plug converter in case you forgot to buy a European plug.

Comfortable and smooth stay
The staffs are straight forward and courteous. I have nothing to fault them. The room was comfortable too. The only bit is that the windows are not double glazed so I can hear strong car noises from outside. The room also don't provide free water. Otherwise I am very happy with Pension Ambient and would stay here again or recommend to everyone who is looking for accommodation in Brasov :)

Very nice staff and super helpful the location is close enough to the old city about 20min walk. The pension serve a nice breakfast the only thing was that the room too hot to sleep in we were on the top floor and it felt like an oven up there.

Perfect location with an impressive breakfast
I spent two nights here in order to show a friend the main sights of Brasov. The position of the pension is perfect for that, very close to city center, in walking distance (about 1 km) or a very cheap taxi ride if you are to tired. The place was clean, comfortable and had the most impressive breakfast spread. Freshly made local food like eggplant salad, fish paste, cheese paste, hummus plus eggs, sausages, fresh vegetables. Also the cheese and meats platter had a very wide variety, about 5 or 6 cheeses and abou the same of the cold cuts. Plus corn flakes, gems, fruits, juices, coffee and tea. I would definitely stay here any time I find myself back in Brasov.

They could not give us twin beds like we checked on hotels.com. It was a business trip so I ended up having to book another apartment (70 euros) so that my colleagues would all be able to sleep comfortably.

Week At Pensiune Ambient
I was in vacation and stayed at Pensiune Ambient for 7 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was very good and was open from 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM, which is very good on mornings I needed to sleep late. My single room was quiet, had a very comfortable double bed, and good cable TV service. There is a very good restaurant for dinner, Ceasu Rau, just down the street with a great atmosphere and delicious, traditional Romanian food. The Pensuine is about a 20-minute walk from the main scenic areas of Piatsa Unirii, Piatsa Sfatului and the area around the base of Tampa Mountain. There is a really good walking tour of the city which leaves every evening at 6:00 PM from Piatsa Sfatului. My only complaints are that the shower was very small, and some of the doors in the building are very sticky and need to be planed down to close more easily - some of the other guests had to slam their doors to close them. Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely stay there again, in the same room, if I was in Brasov again.

Nice hotel, but a lousy breakfast
The hotel had big, beautiful and comfy rooms with balconies. No elevator and some steep stairs. Breakfast was the most disappointing part: had to argue for two days about the complimentary breakfast, selection was limited and they were all the time short on everything (coffee, juice etc.).

1. When I booked this hotel on Expedia website, all room rates are including breakfast but the reception said that breakfast not included even I showed Expedia website on site. The Expedia or the Hotel should explain this. 2. Child policy. Under 8 yrs child is free of charge if the child use the existing bed but there was extra charging for this even my son is under 8 yrs old and hotel denied to refund the extra charge. After long discussion with reception, I have an extra bed which actually I didn't use during my stay. 3. I requested the room the next to my friend or same floor when I booked but it was ignored. I guess that the hotel never read my special request. I should stay on the different floor.

I book it because it was close to the university. I have a copy of my booking, which said that I had a complimentary breakfast. However, the lady at the reception said my copy was wrong. I had to pay 4 euros extra for each breakfast.

A very nice pension, near enough to everything by foot and taxis are quite reasonable if tired of hoofing it. Pension is impeccable, the reception staff very helpful. One in particular "doubled" as a first-rate travel agent for day-trips beyond Brasov .
