We've previously stayed in several Burlington hotels. Very happy, that this time, we stayed here. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and nicely appointed. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our conversations with other guests.

Host was awesome. House was very well kept. Room was clean and quiet. In a nice neighborhood, and convenient to everything with in walking distance. Anyone with mobility issues, please be aware, there are like 20 steps from curb to front door, and another 20 steps up the stairs to the rooms. I rate it 10 for 10

The house is beautiful, stately and elegantly/authentically decorated. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The host was extremely nice and happy to share info about the house and the town. Breakfast was delicious. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood of historic homes. The price was reasonable. We loved everything about this B&B

This place is beautiful! Great location, tastefully decorated, quiet & cozy. The room was a little warm fir sleeping, even with windows open. Otherwise, a very good experience.

Sibling Getaway
Fabulous B & B…the best in every way! Gage and Dustin were so welcoming and Gage prepared a delicious breakfast. My sisters and brothers-in-law loved it as well, so we would highly recommend it. Beware if stairs are an issue to navigate as there are many outside and inside.

Wonderful breakfast, beautifully presented and the property was lovely. The guys who own/run the B&B are very nice and were very helpful in making suggestions about where to go to eat. The friend I was traveling with had never stayed at a B&B; this is a good one to measure all others against.

Amazing place to stay
Absolutely loved our stay at Evan’s Holly Grove Inn. The host was friendly and helpful, the room was cozy, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The historic house was amazing and we enjoyed hearing about its past. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

Unique, quaint home, very hospitable hosts. It is an older home so it is a bit more creaky and small but clean. Quite a few stairs which can be more treacherous for guests with limited mobility

Good Place in Downtown Burlington
Good B&B - puts you RIGHT in the heart of Burlington where you can get to downtown and a very quick walk to the river and some great old houses on the hill. A block from Snake Alley. I liked the charming house, the decor, the room and its condition. You have a living room to use and a den area, room was good enough for me as a solo traveller. Breakfast was great portioned and tasty. I would describe as low-key in that they give you your distance, not like an old-fashioned one where there would be on you. They do have rules about check in times, so try to arrive between 4 and 6 or call ahead with specific arrangements. These are folks who run the B&B but also live on prop and have lives of their own, and all.

This house is just gorgeous, the room was secure as was the front door with a personal entry code, and the whole experience was amazing. My new home away from home when I'm in the Burlington area!

Everything was fine with one exception: If you are physically limited in any way the climb up to the house followed by another like climb up to your room can be rather tough on people with any health issues such as AFIB or bad legs etc.

A gorgeous B&B in the heart of downtown Burlington. The hosts have carefully decorated it with their antique finds and were available and friendly. What a nice change from the usual corporate bland motels we usually find in a city of this size. Highly recommended. The puppy is cute, too.

Pros: The property was beautiful. The room was nice, jet tub was wonderful. Cons: We read that check in commenced at a certain time and ended at a certain time unless prior arrangements were made. We arrived in the window and no one was there. We also were under the impression we were staying at a B&B, but were informed that breakfast would be extra. This is not what was advertised on the reservation site. Any issue seemed to be the fault of someone else, the owners failed to take responsibility. Was not impressed. Way too much money for what was received, especially for the town of Burlington, IA.

the in is a beautiful old home with several large suites on the second floor. The rooms are done up nicely - but a bit overdone. There were no drinking glasses in the room, no shampoo or conditioner. There were battery candles in the room but they did not work. Small TV with only cable. The breakfast was cooked earlier and kept warm. they were not flexible about what time you could eat. There was only flavored creamer. Overall the stay was fine but for the price in this small town i expected more.

Lovely neighborhood. Home was tastefully and interestingly furnished. Hosts were not at property during check-in times from 4 to 6. We contacted them and they were antique shopping 1.5 hours away. Berated us for not calling them earlier. We were coming from a friend’s memorial service and since we intended to arrive at specified checkin times did not feel need to call. We had confirmed reservation so they knew we’d be there. We were told to stay there until they arrived, but that meant we’d have a late dinner so we finally just left. All very strange.

Website advertises breakfast. There was none--no voucher, no discount. I wouldn't have spent the overpriced rate if I would have known this. DON'T knock on my door in the morning to tell me checkout time. Tell me at checkin!! Nice house but too much modern decorating items that do not reflect the age of the place.
