pool but no hotel beach
There’s a public beach nearby (NOT a hotel beach) and the Hotel has a pool. The photo from the air is a bit misleading as it looks like the hotel has a beach with lounge chairs, which it does not. The bicycles, which Hotels.com lists as being free to use, are only free for one hour of use, which wasn’t enough for us—we needed more time to make using them feasible. On-site parking is good (but extremely tightly spaced). Room condition ok, and breakfast was fine. The town is very nice.

Uns wurde zuerst das falsche Zimmer zugewiesen als das wir bei Booking gebucht hatten. Nach reklamieren bekamen wir ein Zimmer dieses war jedoch auf der Strassenseite und sehr laut. Es war keine Erholung. Frühstück war sehr dürftig, immer kaltes Rührei und kalten Speck, wenig Brot-Auswahl etc.

Perfect location
Very friendly and helpful staff. Free use of bicycles. Perfect location on the beach. Large swimming pool. Generous breakfast. Parts of the hotel could do with a bit of updating but I would definitely stay again due to lovely staff and location.

Höst semester
Vi var mycket nöjda med detta hotell. Alldeles vid stranden, frukosten riktigt bra, personal mera än bra. Hjälpte oss med våran hemresa gick in och kollade på internet m.m. Cyklar finns att låna gratis rekommenderar en tur till Cavoli Beach som ligger nära.

Das Minimum war gerade gut genug!
Wir waren als Ehepaar und einem alten Beagle für 8 Nächte im Hotel. Der Ort ist sehr empfehlenswert! Im Hotel: Der Check in wurde mit einem absoluten minimum an Worten geführt. Im Doppelzimmer war nur ein Stuhl grosse Ablage und ein sehr trauriges mit dunklen Farben gemalenes Geisterbild hing an der Wand. Auf dem Balkon war weder ein Stuhl, noch sonst etwas! Die Matratze war super, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück war gut. Das Empfangspersonal war freundlich. Für den Hund haben wir pro Tag 10 Euro bezahlen müssen, doch war auf Grund des Bodens kein Arbeit Mehraufwand. Es war nicht mal ein Fressnapf oder Knochen für den Hund, einfach gar nichts, nur die 80 Euro, die mussten wir bezahlen. Beim Check out hatte ich gesagt, meine Frau habe ein 1/2 Liter Naturwasser aus der Minibar getrunken, dies kostete uns 1.50 Euro. ich hatte Geburtstag am 7. Tag, doch vom Hotel kam gar nichts! Auch für die 8 Nächte kein Früchte Teller oder einen Apfel oder ein Blümchen im Zimmer, ist nicht notwendig. ich möchte immerhin zu Bedenken geben dass dies ein im Prospekt ein 4 Stern Hotel ist. Eine sehr gute Beurteilung bekommt der Aussenpool, schön und gepflegt. Bravo.

Posizione e offerta dell'hotel molto positivo
l'hote è sul lato opposto della strada che costeggia la spiaggia di marina di campo e 50 m dalla zona pedonale. L'hotel possiede una piscina grande oltre al parcheggio privato. Decisamente come posizione è da 5*. Ottimo e abbondante la colazione oltre alla possibilità di pranzare o cenare a prezzi modici, visto che all'Elba i prezzi nei ristoranti ci vanno giù pesantemente. Le camere al secondo piano lato piscina sono molto spaziose e vista mare. Chi ha le possibilità di soggiornarvi fa un ottima scelta.

Siamo stati una settimana. Camera al pian terreno ok ma con arredamento basic; cucina ottima con piatti di pesce diversi ogni giorno. A due passi dal mare e dal centro del paese

Wir haben eine Woche Urlaub im Hotel Select auf Elba verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Strandpromenade ( man bekommt auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption bei einem der Sonnenschirm-Vermieter am Strand einen Discount: ein Schirm, zwei Liegen um € 10,- ) , hat aber auch eine schöne und sehr saubere Poolanlage. Generell sind das ganze Hotel sowie die Zimmer sehr schön und sauber. Das Service in allen Bereichen ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffett ist mehr als reichlich und gut. An der Bar bekommt man den ganzen Tag Geteänke und Cafe und am Abend kann man auf der Terrasse der Bar noch gemütlich ein Glas Wein, etc trinken. Restaurants und Geschäfte sind nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Einziges Minus: die WLAN Verbindung ist eine Katastrophe.

Vacanza da incubo
soggiorno rovinato immediatamente da uno scivolone nella vasca da bagno ( molto vecchia, riverniciata da poco, senza tappetino antiscivolo e con ruggine intorno al foro di svuotamento). È possibile che un hotel 4 stelle, dal costo di oltre 200 € al giorno abbia un bagno simile? avvisata la reception dell' accaduro non si sono preoccupati di chiamare un medico, mi son dovuto preoccupare io di farmi accompagnare in guardia medica dove è stato stilato un referto di vasto ematoma coscia sonistra, dalla grandezza di un limone. A parte lavacanza rovinata anche la beffa di diver affrontare spese mediche per far riassorbire il vasto ematoma. L' unica preoccupazione dell' albergo è stata di dare un tappetino antiscivolo!

Top Lage
Das Hotel hat eine Top Lage: Direkter Zugang zum Strand (nur Straße überqueren)und mitten im Ort. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten - Garage kostenlos! Zimmer geräumig, aber im EG ohne Balkon keine Möglichkeiten zum Trocknen von nasser Badewäsche/Handtüchern. Sehr gutes Frühstück, freundliches Personal. Lediglich Infos über Veranstaltungen/Ereignisse/Besonderheiten im Ort und auf der Insel könnten noch verbessert werden (z.B. Ortsplan von Marina di Campo). HP nicht gewählt, weil Abendessen erst ab 19.30 Uhr = uns zu spät. Großer Pool mit genügend Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Alles sehr sauber. Schade nur, dass der Pool erst ab 9 Uhr benutzbar war, somit gingen wir zum Schwimmen vor dem Frühstück ins Meer. Sandstrand gepflegt, Wasser sehr sauber. Fazit: Wir würden wieder dorthin reisen, Ort und Hotel empfehlenswert.

E' oramai la terza volta che abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel. Ha cambiato gestione ma resta sempre all'altezza della situazione. C'è una bellissima piscina con docce acqua calda e spogliatoi ed il mare è appena fuori dell'albergo. La prima volta c'era una gustosissima abitudine di offrire l'aperitivo (ora happy hour) intorno alle 17/18. Ora è a pagamento e non c'è più il ping pong

Great stay at Select
My family and I had a great stay at Hotel Select. Good service and attentive staff. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. An impressive swimming pool and the beach steps away. Plus the ability to walk anywhere in town for food, shopping or to jump on a boat to get to know the island better. We highly recommend it.

Nice Beach Hotel
We booked this hotel for our trip to participate in the Elbaman Triathlon. We couldn't have asked for a better location for the race. The start line was directly in front of the hotel on the beach. The outside of the hotel looks a little weathered, but the inside is completely clean and updated. I would definitely stay here again if I traveled back to Elba Island.

Dyrt men bra location
Lav kvalitet på hotellet med mindre hyggelig personal. Location er kjempebra på beste (kommersielle) stranden på Elba. Et godt valg for barnefamilie eller de med lavere krav. Ikke for de med ønske om "fin ferie" eller krav på standard. Pool er bra og beliggenhet superb men hotellet er av lav kvalitet så det oppleves dyrt...

Great Experience
I've never been to Elba but heard great things about it. Seemed overwhelming, but when I learned we could take our car on the ferry, I decided to go. But where to say? What town, what hotel? Using comments by others on Trip Adviser I decided to go to Marina di Campo (great beaches, shopping, restaurants and more going on). And then picked what sounded like a perfect hotel for us.Hotel Select had virtually no negative comments and so many positives. I concur-- I highly recommend both the hotel and the area. Also suggest you take one day and just drive around the entire island. Very well worth doing. A truly beautiful place we're glad we got the opportunity to experience.
