The pictures do not do the room justice. It was like staying in an apartment. The water pressure was nice in the shower. The jacuzzi was excellent. The room smelled extremely clean when you walked in. The shower is probably not not the easiest for a person who’s over 5 10. The bed is super soft and pillows very nice. Easy walking distance to the beach. Fireplace was cozy and the fan was remote controlled. Felt really relaxed when I left and didn’t want to leave.

The property is clean and well appointed with a coffee maker, hair dryer, anything you'd really miss if you didn't have it. I very cute and comfortable. We will be staying here again!

Fantastic location! Comfortable room. Some parking spots were right outside room — so some noise in the morning, but didn’t hurt experience. Would definitely stay here again for sure!

Decor was a hodge podge. Trying to make it look “modern” but cabinets should have been painted grey or blue and nothing matched the fireplace. Same with bathroom. Get someone with some taste to oversee the reno and the pink and blue exterior is not modern or cool looking and didn’t go with the attempted theme of the interiors.

There was inadequate parking available and the staff did not advise that we'd need to find street parking if the site parking spaces were full. Their literature said that the office was open until 9:00 pm but it was closed by 8:45 and there was no response to a message left on their answering machine. The bathroom had no grab bars and the tub bottom was slick making it very dangerous to use the shower. There was no non-skid bath mat available. The kitchen sink was a tiny bar sink making it very difficult to was dishes. We won't be coming back.

I need help with checking in and I called the phone number on the website and the person who answered said he was a prior guest and somehow all calls were being directed to his personal cell phone number. So I never got to check in at all, and no refund has been given.

We apologize for the issue with the call forwarding. Our front desk manager was at the hospital and a mistake in the call forwarding was made.

Cute. If the weather was nicer the area to hangout outdoors was super cute. Love the short walk to the beach. Only downside was our room had the most obnoxiously loud refrigerator. Luckily, our sound machine mostly drowned out the noise.

Room is fine. Good luck contacting anyone if you need help. I arrived 2 minutes after check in closed. No problem, there’s a lock box that should have an envelope with my name on it. There are multiple envelopes in the box and none of them have names on them. Tried calling the number they have posted for help. No answer. I ended up having to open the envelopes in the box to find mine. My room is not at the main site. There is a map. At first glance, it looks like the other site is next door. It’s dark and foggy, so I drive around the block multiple times and can’t see it. Called again. Twice. No answer. Text for help. They resend me the blurp about the map. Yeah, I have the map, it’s dark and foggy and I can’t find it. I go back to where the office is and another person staying cones for their keys. I’m ask them if they know where the other site is. Across the street and over a little. The “helper” I was texting, could have mentioned that. THIRTY MINUTES later, I am finally in my room.

Formerly wonderful operation goes south
The newer one-bedroom units at the Haystack are cold, dull and a little bit scary. The overhead fluorescent lighting makes the rooms feel more like an operating theater than a welcoming suite. We were also placed in a unit right next to a building that was being remodeled. Only there 2 nights, we managed, but when we told the clerk they should consider the noise when assigning that room (the motel was NOT full, so we could have been placed elsewhere), or possibly speak to the work crew to see when they would be finished, her reply was, "These guys are so mean." They were already aware! No apology for the disturbance, no offer for a visit in the future, no empathy what-so-ever. We used to love staying here (in the old units), but now it's just a money-maker for occasional dupes. Don't get fooled. It's not what it once was.

The experience was mostly good. My concern was the bathtub had no slip proof stripes in the tub and no bar to hold onto getting in and out of the tub. Towels were adequate. Coffee was very welcome.

Loved the property and walkable distance from downtown and the beach. I was excited about the fire place to play games by but after we checked in the fire place was out of service, nobody told us so that was slightly disappointing. The room overall was fairly clean but the hot tub in the room had multiple black hairs in it and the spouts were dirty and yellow. The place was very dog friendly and staff was very friendly! Would definitely stay here again but probably again, not use the hottub.

Loved it!
Super cute cottage! Short walk to beach and restaurants. My only complaint was there was no soap dish in the bathroom so the counter was slimey! Kitchen was well supplied. It was cozy and comfortable. We'd go back!

This was the perfect stay for our honeymoon. My husband and I loved how close this property was to the downtown area AND the beach! We loved how walkable the whole town was, even in rainy conditions! 10 out of 10! Would definitely stay again!
