Ignore the negative comments, this is angriest place to stay. The staff are wonderful and so helpful, the breakfast is good, rooms are nice and location is perfect. I saw comments about the lifts, this is only for the car park, the general lifts are fine and I had no issues at all. So all in all a great place to stay and I would be back for sure.

Très bel hôtel de catégorie internationale. Excellent petit déjeuner avec la possibilité de le prendre sur une terrasse. Petite piscine mais avec la possibilité de se poser confortablement Très bien situé dans le centre avec de nombreux restaurants à proximité.

The property was very nice and the staff was amazing. We stayed at the property for 2 days and the air conditioning did not work in the building on our first night. Staff advised us that it was a Cape Town issue and not a hotel issue. Overall the stay was pleasant. The room was clean and our view was beautiful. I would stay here again in the future.

Proximity to all the interesting places in the city is the major recommendation of Radisson Blue Hotel & Residence. We could walk to District 6, the botanical gardens near Parliament, V&A Waterfront, and there are lots of restaurants in all directions within walking distance. Uber transportation was also super easy to get from and to the hotel.

Wanted the Radisson Blu at the Waterfront - not in the City .. wasn’t clear enough on the booking… got ripped off with Uni Cab… instead of Hotel offering free eve (as my room was not ready) for a 2.6 km ride got charged R70 in a cab with no meter.. wasn’t explained there was a cost ! There was a fire alarm drill / practise - was never informed about this…

Hotel is great but safety is a concern
The hotel itself was great. The staff is very friendly and food is good too. The only reason why I rated it lower is because the area around the hotel is not safe. We were told a previous guest had been mugged then a gentleman in our tour group was almost mugged 50 yards from the hotel. They have a free shuttle that will take you to and from the waterfront and it’s very safe there. Again, the hotel is wonderful. Just be forewarned. Most likely, all the hotels in the downtown area have the same problem.

Stayed 12 nights! My room on 11th floor was fine with partial views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic. There was only one lift working which resulted in some waiting and crowding. Breakfast was OK. Why can't we have real orange juice? Free parking was appreciated (separate lift). Got hassle walking back from Waterfront and on Long Street in the evenings. Recommend Madam Taitou Ethiopian restaurant on Long Street. Laundry service was not same day as stated.

Diese Hotel ist ein Nightmare. Zum rauchen mußte man auch nachts im Regen auf die Straße ohne, dass draussen die Security zugegen war. Die andere Alternative war die nach Benzin riechende Tiefgarage. Das weiche Frühstücksei wurde in einer Müslischale mit einem Holzstäbchen serviert. Eierbecher gab es nicht. Ich habe mir daher selbst einen gekauft und jeden morgen mitgenommen. Nur 1 Aufzug war vorhanden. Der Conciege hatte weder einen Stadtplan noch konnte er Auskunft über My City Bus geben. Das Essen im Restaurant war gruselig. In der angeblichen Bar im EG gab es nicht einmal einen Weil und war auch nur einige Stunden tagsüber geöffnet. Das Personal an der Rezeption war super freundlich. Der shuttle Servise zur Waterfront war praktisch. Beim Schwimmbad durfte man nicht wirklich um die Ecke schauen. Überall standen Schädlingsbekämpungsboxen. Alles in allem ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben in einem so schrecklichen Hotel gewohnt. Und ich bin regelmäßig seit 40 Jahren in Kapstadt.
