We arrived mid afternoon to a sign on the door saying back in 10 minutes. After around 15 minutes, a woman unlocked the door and walked away. I assumed this was another guest initially as there was no hello, greeting or welcome. The woman was continually coughing, spluttering and wiping her nose with a tissue. We followed her into the reception area where she sat down and in silence just handed me a sheet to fill out, asked my reservation code and this was followed by more silence. It felt like me and my friend was an inconvenience. She also took a phone call during this which I assume was for help on how to use the system.
After another long silence she got the keycard which she then WIPED with the tissue she’d been using to blow her nose! Told us where to stay which was kind of complicated, ‘three doors down, room 9 floor 2’ it was quite hard to hear her as she was really quiet. She didn’t tell us where our included breakfast would be or when, when to check out, or any additional information. It turns out the place we were staying was four doors down and the room itself was brilliant and clean.
The next morning we left at 11.30 and there was no information on where to put the keycard to our room. The reception was also closed and as we were in a rush, we had to leave it under the mat of the reception door.
Overall it was a great stay and we slept well, but something needs to be done about service as we also missed out on breakfast that we paid for.
