This is a delightful boutique hotel with 8 rooms, 3 of which are standard. One of them is in the basement by the kitchen and the other 2 are right off the lobby. We were given the one in the basement, and while it was a very comfortable room with a terrific bed, you could hear noises from the kitchen no matter how quiet the staff tried to be. Also, if anyone smokes a cigarette in the upstairs lobby, you smell the smoke in your room. The smoke smell may be true for all the rooms. I think we saved about 70,000 COP per night by booking a standard over superior, but I’m not sure I would do it again.
The hotel itself is delightful. We loved the location inside the old city! The staff is very accommodating, the toiletries terrific, the a/c and wifi strong and reliable, and the breakfasts good. We ate a late dinner in the restaurant one night and thought it was very well prepared. Special kudos to the night waiter/bar manager – he was always gracious about opening bottles of wine for us. The sweet lady who serves breakfast deserves special mention because she does it all by herself and has to keep running up and down the stairs while other employees are sitting around apparently doing nothing. And the housekeeper is friendly and does a terrific job cleaning your rooms.
We would definitely stay here again but would probably choose a superior room.
