I apologize that you did not find your stay enjoyable. I've listed everything in the property description. It is also NOT listed as lake view but across from the lake even though you can see the lake some from the property. The couch is less than 2 years old. The linens are washed thoroughly between each guest. Unfortunately, the guest did not follow house rules which are listed in the property description.

We find it interesting that this guest makes an issue of the TV and Internet while staying at the cottage. During their visit there was a severe storm in our area and ALL TV was out off and on. In our web site information we say we have limited TV channels and NO Internet. The DVDs we provide are a mixture of films suitable for children and PG family videos, mostly of classic musicals. People are always welcome to bring their own if they wish. Pans are run through the dishwasher between guests but they are well used as we are booked solid most of the time. I'm sorry if this guest didn't find them acceptable.

We are sorry that Ms. Greenwood is unhappy about being charged for damage done during their stay. In the more than 3 years we have been renting the cottage, this is the first time we have had to made a claim for damages. It gives us no pleasure to make a damage claim, but having the DVD player jammed so it had to be replaced, a burn on the table and deep scratches on a door, not to mention the very dirty condition in which the cottage was left was just too much! I might add that the tablecloth had clearly been off at times because there was glitter and play dough on the table surface as well as on the cottage floors. The tablecloth is always laundered between guests. We've had many families with children stay and have made every effort to provide them with suitable DVDs, invite them to meet our horses and give them treats. We are grandparents and thoroughly enjoy children and if you read the many compliments from our guests in the journal at the cottage I'm pretty sure you'll see that we are not rude. Even in these difficult times of the corona virus, visiting with our guests outside while social distancing gives us great pleasure.
