Bliss!!

Family Getaway
The home on the Sprague River was exactly what we needed for a memorable family getaway. The home is very well appointed, the host has put a lot of thought into the comfort of their guests. The property is absolutely beautiful a great place to get away, connect to nature and each other. We would absolutely consider staying there again.

Beautiful, Comfortable, Quiet, Relaxing
We had an amazing four day/three night stay this October 2023. Very comfortable and well appointed, private house. Nice wood stove to take the chill out of the air with plenty of dry firewood. Amazing sunrises, big country and wonderful views - dozens of windows. Right on the river - we caught plenty of 8-16 inch trout. Glorious east facing home with a wonderful deck, and wide views to the north and south. Well appointed living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. Our hosts were responsive and friendly. This is a gem of a house - an excellent value. Thanks for having us!

Gateway to Crater Lake National park
Found a very quiet and comfortable place to stay close to the park. Comfortable and scenic, plenty of space for a family and more. Enjoyed the nearby river, walking path and watching/listening to the cows nearby. Good night sleep had by all at the end of the day.

Wonderful Stay!
Loved staying here so much! the surroundings are beautiful, stars amazing, little stream down the hill idyllic. We arrived with three toddlers who all immediately fell in love with the cows that rotated around different fields throughout the day. Cindy and Dave were wonderful and hospitable hosts, and even introduced our clan to her nursing cow. Can't wait for another excuse to find ourselves here again.

Beautiful place on a ranch, close to Crater Lake.
My wife and I had a great time at this very serene location on a rustic ranch. Cindy and Dave were great hosts and very responsive. This was a great place to stay for a trip to Crater Lake, which was less than an hour away. The cabin is wonderful with every amenity that you could ever need. We plan on coming back again!

Paradise on the Sprague River!
Beautiful home with everything you need for a getaway on the Sprague! We enjoyed sitting on the deck, walking down to the river, watching the deer, cattle, and birds. Short drive to the Williamson River, Wood River, Crater Lake. Cooked in the well equipped kitchen, barbecued on the deck and got great night’s sleep in the comfy beds. Great hosts with helpful information about the ranch. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful, quiet retreat
It was just amazing to wake up each morning and sit on the deck and look at the cows and river. We could just take beautiful walks on property or choose to explore other things in this beautiful region - Crater Lake, the Williamson River, The Sprague River - running right through the property, Lake of the Woods, Rogue River Gorge, Agency Lake, The Wetlands nearby with excellent bird watching, the Klamath County Museum. We had a day that we went to Ashland and Medford. We stayed here 10 days and just had a fabulous time. I was worried about the no A/C thing but the house stayed surprisingly cool and had ceiling fans. We had a BBQ on the deck half the nights. It was a great stay.

Luxurious house on a working ranch complete with hiking trails, swimming holes and magnificent views
With tastes ranging from the always-active to the sedentary, our stay catered to everyone's tastes: a great kitchen, comfortable rooms, a river to swim in and to fish, hikes and views from the house of a magnificent landscape. Lovely place to get away

Beautiful home near hunting unit.
This home is beautiful with amazing views, sunrise and sunsets. We are a small cattle farm family, so staying at a ranch and hearing the cows was pleasing to us. The owners are so nice. Our son had a youth hunt for deer in the Sprauge Unit, which was pretty much across the road. Unfortunately, his tag was not filled, but we had a wonderful time staying in the house. My son also uses a wheelchair and was able to maneuver all over the house once we carried him in. Nice big open floor plan, large windows in the dining and living room to take in the view. The house came with all you need to cook with. Just bring food since there is not a grocery store near by. We loved all the cowboy pictures and cattle brand displayed on various things in the house. The covered back porch was nice. We didn’t get a chance to go fishing but did take the dogs for walks around the property. It was a nice get-a-way house and we absolutely will stay again if we plan to visit the area again. Thank you so much!

Relaxing!!
This house was as advertised! We had such an amazing and relaxing time at this house. Our dogs loved the open area to roam, run, and swim in the river. Our kids also enjoyed the big yards and the river as well (especially our son who loved swimming with our dogs!). I enjoyed the river for fishing. Caught a personal best trout, 20". Listening to the coyotes at night was so cool! Cindy was responsive and provided any info needed or answered any questions. Overall we would recommend this house to anybody who loves nature and just getting away from the busy city. Would love to come back again!

WONDERFUL MINI VACATION
Cindy and Dave are the consummate hosts, going above and beyond---from the staging and stocking of the home to their enlightening conversations. We were there to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and mission accomplished. This was our second stay and we hope to return again.

Home on Cattle Ranch in Oregon Mountains
It was an absolutely stunning experience. It was so incredibly clean; really lived up to all the fantastic reviews. The house sits on a picturesque property and is well appointed and very comfortable. The beds, lovely sheets, plush towels, patio dinning, I could go on, were all wonderful. Cindy was a fantastic host and super helpful. We felt comfortable and ‘at home’ away from home- a lovely experience.

Quiet and Beautiful
First the house. Everything was perfect. Big open living area and kitchen for hanging out. The wood stove provided plenty of warmth. Everything was clean and there all you needed for cooking. The bedrooms were comfy and there are lots of windows to take in the river and see the sunrise. The property was majestic. We spent so much time just taking in the view. We saw all kinds of birds; quail, swans, geese eagles, hawks, to name a few. The clouds even broke one night for an incredible view of the stars and we listened to the coyotes call back and forth to each other across the valley. Cindy was super nice. She called just to make sure everything was right. And Victor, the land manager, was super friendly too. I couldn't ask for more!

Stunning Views, great hosts
Dave and Cindy have done an amazing job with this vacation home. The house is so welcoming, clean, and comfortable. You’ll feel right at home. The views are stunning. It was raining so we didn’t get to explore the property, but what a serene and peaceful setting.

Even better than the pictures!
Our family (2 adults & 2 kids) had an amazing 3 night stay at this property. The house and the property are even more beautiful in person. Our main purpose in visiting the area was to go to Crater Lake, but honestly we enjoyed being on the property more than going to Crater Lake. The views are amazing. It is so peaceful. We went for long walks on the property, rode inner tubes on the river (a little cold in Oct), roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, and spent time on the deck just enjoying the quiet. The kids loved exploring the property and petting the cows/calves that were in a pasture right near the house. The owners were wonderful to work with. We had originally planned to go in August, but because the air quality was so bad due to the wildfires they worked with us to find another time to visit. Since we have been home, we have been recommending this property to all of our friends. We want to go back!

Soooo Beautiful, wished we could have stayed longer...
We have never rented (at any price point) a more meticulously clean, well stocked rental. Also of note were the amazingly comfortable beds and high end linens. Fishing at sunset on the property at the Sprague River was a great way to end the day. Great communication with the owners. If you are looking for a unique and off the beaten path rental, this one is for you!

Perfect escape from city
Stayed three nights this summer, Great ranch house, away from city and crowed , but near Carter lake NP and natures. Great country style house provide enough space for family of 6. Small river run through the ranch, my son caught his personal record Rainbow trout, great experience as birthday gift. Host are very nice and good communicate through the booking and staying. Highly recommended!

Great place and awesome host
The property is excellent and we really enjoyed this country living ..Cyndi is great person and she was super helpful for anything and she even picked up the call at the middle of the night when the water was running low in the house and clarified that is normal as we were running washer and dishwasher at the same time and also the sprinklers were running the whole night. Cyndi even helped the kids to pet the horse and dog ..it was amazing experience for us..

Family get together
Super awesome home and property! We stayed for 4 nights with our adult children and spouses. The guys fly fished on the river on property and also in surrounding areas including Crater Lake! Our mornings and evenings were spent on back deck overlooking pastures and river. We grilled on the back deck each night and played games into the wee hours each night. We even got to see some trick horseback riding by Cindy as they loaded calves early one morning. The home was fully stocked for cooking and just hanging out. If you like the outdoors, wildlife, peace and quite, this is the place!!

Fantastic views
This was a very peaceful location with outstanding views. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for eating. Beds very comfortable. Fans were all used (no AC) but who would have thought triple digit weather in Oregon at 4200'. Great yard for dogs to run in and fishing from their dock was great for our 11 yr old grandson who caught a 12.5" trout. Rented a canoe and bought some inflatable inner tubes and floated down the river. All in all a relaxing week in a beautiful setting.

The house is set on a ranch w beautiful vistas. The view from the kitchen and back deck is lovely. The house is nicely furnished w a very good kitchen and very comfortable beds. The hosts are very responsive. Would definitely recommend if you are in southern Oregon.

Beautiful and Peaceful Home
The home was beautiful and so inviting to stay at. When you enter you're welcomed to a beautiful view of the ranch from the kitchen and sitting area. Recommend taking a moment out one of the nights to look at all the stars in the sky. All the amenities we could need were provided for the kitchen/bathrooms. It was such a comfortable haven to return to after a tiring day of exploring and hiking in the surrounding areas (45min to 2.5 hours away). Cindy was very kind and responsive at all times. We loved our stay and recommend this location to those interested. Hope to be back again sometime in the future.

Extremely clean, comfortable and quiet
We stayed at the house with our two great pyrneese dogs and it could not have been more perfect. Cindy, the owner, was very welcoming. The house has lots of nice touches. It is clear that thought went into how to stock everything for guests. We did not leave the house for the three days we were there. It was just too beautiful and peaceful.

A Great Stay on the Ranch
My husband and I and our 2 grown daughters were welcomed with a nice warm fire the evening we checked in. Our hostess Cindy met with us and made sure we were comfortable and answered any questions we had about our stay. We had such a lovely stay at Home on the Sprague River that we hated to leave. We loved the views and the peaceful, wide open space. We enjoyed bird watching, fishing off the dock, and walking around the property, also loved star gazing at night. The house was perfectly stocked and spacious enough for my husband to easily maneuver his walker. We didn’t stay long but while we were there, we managed to get out to Wood River Wetland, Crater Lake National Park, Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge and the Lava Beds. This is such a great spot, convenient to local attractions but away from the crowds.

Amazing Property absolutely worth every penny!!
We live in Hawaii and were looking to suprise my mother in law who lives in Chiloquin and give our children their holiday request of a snowy white Christmas. Let me just say that not even the pictures do this place justice! When we arrived we were absolutely stunned we had literally no words! The home and property were immaculately clean and the view was amazing! The home owners were thoughtful and left instructions and even suggestions for things to experience in Oregon. They were always good with responding and we had absolutely no issues they even had one of their workers check on us an bring us fresh cut firewood. They had everything we needed for a vacation rental including board games which my children loved during the cold weather. The decorative detail throughout their home was beautiful and it made us feel so comfortable and welcome. If we could give this place 10 stars we would. We are definitely coming back next vacation! Worth every penny spent my family fell in love with this place and had a beautiful snowy white christmas! Worth every cherished memory we made!

A wonderful home in an idyllic setting
Dave and Cindy's home is clean, functional, and has character. Situated on a 450+ acre ranch, you are remote but only a short drive from the local town of Chiloquin. If you are looking for peace and quiet, walks along the river, and to be at one with nature, this is the perfect spot.

This place was great!
The guest house is large and very well appointed. We enjoyed our stay here very much. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen top notch, the view outstanding. Would have wished for a/c, but it's understandable that it was unseasonably warm. Cooled off nicely at night. The cattle roundup on the last day was the cherry on top :)

Abundant Beauty
David and Cindy's property is just beautiful. The house was really clean and organized when we arrived. Additionally, the house was well stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils for feeding your family. Anytime we had a need or just a question, the owners responded promptly and were able to take care of what we needed. I would highly recommend staying in their home. It was a great week away from work and everyday life.

Beautiful spot in the world
Love the house, love the ranch, Cindy and Dave were very kind. Its a unique experience being on the ranch. Lots of wildlife, stars and fun to be next to the river. You have to bring all your own food - no place close to eat. But there is a good kitchen, a BBQ and a great deck to hang out on. Beautiful drive to Crater lake (about 45 minutes). Lots of great fishing and beautiful hiking near by.
