Hello “Anonymous:”It was apparent that you were agitated / unhappy upon your arrival, and there was nothing we could do during your stay to change your attitude.You were never “moved upon arrival” — you were given a free upgrade from single Queen studio Cottage #16 that you booked yourself online to partial lake view Cottage #25 as you said you had wanted some view of the lake and it was your husband’s birthday, so the manager did so out of kindness and at his discretion.You immediately claimed the door code didn’t work (we showed you it did) and then minutes later complained of dog urine smell that neither we nor your husband could smell, and you turned down our offer to give you a free upgrade to a fully equipped kitchen cottage next door to yours. You asked us to note the urine smell in our records so we wouldn’t charge you, as you brought a small dog (which we noticed happened to use pee pads you had positioned already on the floor in the cottage).You came up to the front office 10-12 times during your two day stay complaining about the shower, the Keurig coffee maker, wet outside door mats, and requested additional toilet paper and Kleenex that you never used (and the original roll and the backups we provide were clearly visible and untouched, as well.)It is obviously not a good fit for you to stay here, and we’re not the best lodging opportunity for you in the future.So, we hope that you will be able to find another lodging opportunity that will better meet your accommodation needs in the future.The Innkeepers

Gretchen, we're sorry that you didn't take the time to communicate with us while you were staying here about any of this.Regarding communicating about the amenity bag, we're sorry that you didn't read the email in which we texted you the door code to get into your cottage. Immediately after telling you the cottage number and code it states "Your amenities are in a bag on the table." The table is in the center of the cottage on the dining table where all other guest information was left.We do not provide dog beds -- haven't for several years. We tell guests that we provide bowls, biscuits, pet towels, pet sheets for the bed, a frisbee and pickup bags. We're sorry you misunderstood what we provide.All you had to do was to communicate with us when on our property and we could have provided you extra blankets in addition to the duvets, extra blanket for the folder out sofa with Tempurpedic mattress, and the extra heater we put in the back bedroom.You'll find that most hotels will glady address any of your concerns or needs when you are on the property if you just let them know.All the besgt,

I am the manager and I personal pre-flighted your cottage and there we no bugs in your cottage. You arrived at night after dark and you were in a lakefront cottage -- mayflies are attracted to lights and if you leave your door open when while you going back and forth when bringing in items from your car they will come into your cottage. They are harmless and don't bite -- we have a handout in your cottage about them.Regarding the pool, we advertise that we have a season, solar heated pool that closes after Labor Day weekend. The level of the lake is totally out of our control, yet we do have information regarding the lake on our web site.
