Weekend getaway
Spent the weekend in Cour d’ Alene celebrating our friend! We enjoyed staying here! The fire pit and seating was so relaxing with a great view. The whole house was so cute!

Really nice house and location!
Yes, the spiral stairs are real, BUT, the whole house and property were amazing. Super clean, birds chirping, deer hanging around, NICE outdoor fire pit sitting area, everything was perfect. Gorgeous views of the lake, again, everything was perfect. thank you!

Fun getaway
My family enjoyed staying in this cabin. It was a short drive into town. Clean and quiet. Beautiful views! It is a strange layout — but fun. The winding staircase would be difficult for some people as the are very steep and quite narrow. Kitchen and master are down the stairs and make it difficult for carrying groceries and luggage. My family loved the game room — ping pong, air hockey, and Foose ball. Would stay here again

Cabin looked great in pictures and was ok in real life but floor plan is absolutely horrible and some of kitchen things didnt work real well also property owner took up our driveway space using it to store their jet ski so parking vehicles was horrible and inconvenient also didnt agree with checkout rules such as stripping your own bedding and taking out garbage when your being charged a cleaning fee already so all in all would never rent this again nor recommend to anyone

We have resupplied the kitchen with newer appliances. The jet ski was a temporary situation and has its own storage space so driveway space is fully available. Thank you for Striping the beds so we can makes sure that house keeping is addressing all areas with clean linens.

Amazing location
So close to all the amenities in Coeur d'Alene yet the location felt tucked away cozy in the woods. Beautiful views of the lake. The property owners were very considerate and made sure we were well taken care of.

Beautiful location and views!
We were on the back end of our Glacier NP trip and Spokane was our airport for flying in and out of. The location and home was perfect for our family and the last couple of nights especially with doing Ride the Hiawatha! My niece and her bestie had their own space in the top floor so it was perfect!!!

Dreamy!
Our Arizona family ADORED this location! We had the best time in this rental. The views of the lake and serene surroundings were exactly what we were hoping for on this trip. The games in the garage were a huge hit with the kids (and parents), the pamphlets for local attractions were helpful, and the owners offered great recs for food (Rodger’s Burgers... dang!). Thank you for letting us stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much. As an active 60s couple we didn't find the sprial staircase a problem nor the outside steps. Do agree with previous reviews the WiFi is unreliable and is unsecured as it is shared with host home. Location is very convenient to Coeur D'alene, hwy 90, Centennial bike path, National forests, other nearby lakes, shopping, restaurants etc.etc. Had a good view of lake. Even tho we had unusually cooler Spring weather the home was comfy & cozy. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of linens, towels, and bathroom supplies. They even had a ready made fire in the fire pit and additional wood ready to use. Liked that it was Pet friendly. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Fun Tree House!
Great views from every room and patio area. It’s a fun property as if you’re staying in a tree house. Game room kept everyone entertained after enjoying dinners out by the fire pit overlooking the lake. Easiest side of lake to access to downtown CDA, shopping etc.

Great retreat for soccer tournament
The house is clean and it has great views. We wish the weather would have been better so we could have used the outdoor space more. Beacon Bay down the road is a great place to go fishing and let the kids run around. Mineral ridge hike was perfect to get everyone out and get fresh air. If this property had a washing machine I would have given five stars. Having to go waste time In town to do laundry was a little frustrating. I have never stayed at a VRBO for this price that didn’t have a washing machine.

Stunning Views!
The house was cozy and suited our needs well. Since the house is seated at the top of a hill, it felt like we were staying in a treehouse (really cool!). We could still see plenty of the lake through the trees. Spiral staircase was a bit hit with the kids. They loved all the table games in the garage as well. Internet was a bit spotty, but I personally think part of taking a vacation means disconnecting from WiFi. Smart TV streamed perfectly the whole time. No issues! Will stay again!

Our Stay On the Lake
Absolutely beautiful place and view amazing beyond words. The sunset over the lake was breath taking. Very comfortable, clean and wonderful. So many things to do as we rode bikes on the trail and to town, hiked and had coffee on the deck each morning. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the BBQ site. The stove really needs to be replaced. We tried to pop popcorn and it would not get hot enough (even on high), to be successful. Thank you for the beautiful and fun place.

Peaceful Guest House
Set just up from the lake- this home provides amazing views and nice outdoor space. Spiral staircase is the only way down to the first floor, so pack light!

There is an outside staircase to bring your things to the lower living area which might be more convient to bring groceries and luggage to the lower level where kitchen and master bedroom is.

We take pride in clean beds and linnens after every person who stays. Also add additional santitary product to the bedding and towels. All the bedding was purchased August 1st prior to your stay so is new. I wish you would have let us know your concerns during your stay so we could have addressed them. Sorry you had dirty dishes. Each VRBO renter is responsible for cleaning their dishes.

Best for short stay with days enjoying lake activities and busy evenings eating out.
This cabin is well-suited for athletic/agile visitors who are coming to Coeur d’Alene for a long weekend (or at most a week) and intend to play on the Lake and mostly eat out. It’s very well located – close to town and yet quiet. There’s a great breakfast place and a great dinner place both a short distance away. There is a nice gas BBQ outside the unit that works well, so you can bring home burgers or steaks. If you fit this profile and you intend to spend your days out touring, boating etc. and then collapse in the evenings, this unit will work well for you. But this unit just wasn’t a good fit for us. We are an older couple who were on semi-working vacation- eating in most of the time, staying for 2 weeks. I wish I had read the description of the unit more carefully. This 2-story unit has an entry on the top floor (via an overflow bedroom) but all the living areas (kitchen etc.) and master bedroom and only bathroom are downstairs. The only direct access to downstairs is via a small spiral iron staircase. The staircase does not accommodate real sized feet or "check-in” sized suitcases. Outside the home, you can walk down multiple stories of exterior stairs which end BELOW the house, causing you to need to walk back up half a flight to reach the downstairs entry. Bottom line - this is not a place where you want to carry many bags of groceries!! (or larger luggage). This is not a good fit for anyone who is at all mobility challenged. In addition, the owner should clarify that while there is a small window A/C on the top story, with most of the home downstairs, there really isn't working A/C. Phone and internet are spotty. There is no TV or streaming service. And no dishwasher, washer or dryer. There are also no wine glasses. There wasn't a wine opener (but there is now - we bought and left one).

So much to explore!
What a fun retreat to find! It was nestled in a wooded area by the lake. The dogs loved going for little walks down the road. It was the perfect get away spot. Also only 15 minutes from downtown shops, museums, and restaurants.

Great location and very nice hosts BUT the cabin has very strong sewer odors emanating from below the kitchen sink , so strong we could only shower and sleep there was not possible to eat a meal there

Unfortunately your stay was right after we had the septic tank pumped and repaired. This situation has been addresed without further problems since then. We would like to extend to you 2 free nights stay if you are in the area again. Home has been updated with new furniture, bedding and now has a game room. Judy 2023

Nice place & close to downtown
Nice place, very equipped kitchen. Layout a little different & tight with the small spiral stairs coming down into the kitchen/dining room. Very small deck, but we made it work. Since we didn’t bring a boat our stay didn’t come with dock access, but the owners were very nice and gave us access to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Enjoyed the bike trail close by and the proximity to downtown. Lots of outdoor activities in Coeur d’Alene!

It was alright. The response wasn't.
We had a few issues of the property not being cleaned properly. Socks in the bunk bed, food on the "clean" dishes, the pull out cutting board had food scraps, etc. The biggest problem is there is a sewage leak right by the picnic table, which made it unbearable to be outside whenever the toilet flushed (even on the opposite side of the house). I contacted the owner during our stay and was not impressed with the response. Every issue I brought up was met with an excuse or just being met with, we'll tell housekeeping. I used to be a housekeeper and would NEVER leave a property this way. This seems to be an issue that continues to pop up after reading past reviews.

An overall fairly nice place to stay overall, great location just 7 minutes to downtown but out and away, with great views, quiet, nice neighbors. Cooking and outdoor grilling facilities were good, as well as plenty of beds and places to sit and relax. Only 1 bathroom so be ready to wait and/or take turns. Helpful directions for the place, and for activities elsewhere.

Great place
We enjoyed our stay very much. Cabin is well maintained and would recommend it to anyone. We manged to utilize the single bathroom for a family of 4 pretty well. No dishwasher and garbage disposal was not an issue. We took the opportunity to teach our kids how to hand wash (old school way). Would surely consider using the same cabin on our next visit to Coeur D'Alene. ID.

This house was exactly as described. The views were wonderful and the setting was peaceful. It was very comfortable for two adults. The single bathroom might make more occupants feel crowded. You should be aware that you will need to be able to carry your luggage, etc up and down a good number of stairs when you arrive and depart. Otherwise, the location and house are great!

This property worked perfect for our family. The stairs were a little rough when loading and unloading, it was a little tough to get the suitcases up and down the spiral staircase. Beautiful, quiet and refreshing
This property was amazing. We stayed with our two boys and dog in Dec/Jan. The location is nestled in pine trees and a level up from the lake. The views of the lake through the pine trees are amazing from all of the glass windows on every level. The owners are super friendly and so responsive. The location is just far enough outside of town to make it feel so much farther, but really it’s only about 10 minutes to anything you wanted in town. The master bedroom has a huge glass window with a view of the lake. Large closet and two dressers so plenty of room for your belongings. Our boys stayed upstairs so they could see the stars at night through the windows that go to the ceiling. Their is a pullout futon bed, bunk beds and another big bed (a queen, I think). The main room downstairs also has a picturesque view from the large wraparound sofa. The kitchen was nicely stocked and I could find everything I needed as we mostly made our own food. The owners left a book of recommendations which were great if you wanted to venture out. We were happy to stay cozy and play games by the wood burning stove. We also watched movies and there are several there to choose from. The tv has a few channels but they don’t come in very well, but the movies work great. All in all, our stay was fantastic! Cozy beds, beautiful views and a really nice shower. The property owners are super awesome and only a phone call away if there were any problems. There were other amenities that were available but we didn’t use like the grill and boat dock. I’d recommend for sure! Excellent!!!

We had a great time here. Views and location were great and very peaceful. One thing that I overlooked was that there is no oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer. We got by ok, but I would have really liked to be able to wash clothes and beach towels. The rental luckily had plenty of extra towels, so that saved us. It is also not a good rental for anyone with disabilities/elderly/and or small kids. The spiral staircase is extremely steep and could be dangerous for people that aren’t super mobile. If you are ok with those downsides- it is a great rental with a spectacular view of the lake!

No one with any kind of mobility issues could stay in this unit. It would also be dangerous for young children. You pay 110 for cleaning and then are asked to clean it yourselves. Insulting. info says there is a tv but you can’t use it except as a dvd. It is a nice setting in a quiet place that is close to town

There is a spiral staircase from upper bedroom area. Also outside stair access to and from home as well. We just ask that people be considerate in washing their dishes before they leave and strip bedding so housekeeping knows what linens have been use. We have replaced the TV with one that does live streaming as well as DVD. Because of the trees we can not get Dish or Direct TV.

Cute and quiet, yet not comfortable
The house is very cute. It feels like a cabin in the middle of a forest. The view is amazing. I brought my two tiny dogs. It took them a little while to get used to the spiral staircase, but eventually they were professionals. There is no yard. My dogs were a little confused on where they where to potty. The house is built on a steep hill and there is a rock walkway leading to the BBQ but nowhere really for them to go potty. The master bed is a total disaster. I read previous reviews about the king sized bed and ignored them, because it couldn't be THAT bad. But it's really, absolutely terrible. It is really worn out. Both sides sink really low, leaving a mountain in the middle. I couldn't snuggle with my fiance. There is another bed upstairs that we were thinking of sleeping in on the 2nd night, but the bathroom is down the spiral staircase and we weren't willing to risk it to go potty in the middle of the night. The living room couch is also very worn out and not at all comfortable. The rest of the house was very cute. I LOVED the old blue colored bathroom toilet/sink/shower combo. The water heater must be pretty small as the hot water does not last more than 10-15 minutes. Overall, I was happy with our purchase and our anniversary trip was amazing. Thank you.

The king size bed in the master and the queen bed have been replaced effective 12/18/2019 with sealy matresses. The home has been completely renovated with new bedding and furniture. Also has added game room for your family

Beautiful, Peaceful and Relaxing!
I stayed with my Daughter and Son for 2 nights, as my Son is moving to Idaho and cant say enough positive things about this place. 2 comfortable big beds with lake views was an awesome experience. Now that my Son is there I hope to stay again with my Wife as there is no need to look any further. My only negative comment is that I couldn't stay there longer; which of course has nothing to do with the owners. Lord willing Ill visit with my wife again and will definitely stay longer!

Quiet and Secluded
Very comfortable cabin in the woods! Only 5 minutes from the main part of Cour DAlene. Owners made great suggestions on places to eat! I do agree with previous reviewer that anyone with knee problems or trouble with stairs . . . this is NOT a good place to stay due to a tight, winding staircase. But that is the ONLY drawback to the cabin, in our opinion. Overall we were very happy and enjoyed our stay! We will be back if we come through this area again!

We loved the view of the lake especially the upstairs room with the glass ceiling, almost like a tree house feeling. The condo is clean but a little worn with some repairs still needed. For instance, the couch upstairs could not be sat on since it was broken. There is a spiral staircase so the property would be difficult for someone who has limited mobility since you will need to carry your luggage down those stairs or around the back of the condo and up a flight of stairs. Too bad no laundry facility available which I was not aware of so we had to go into town to do laundry. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay, very peaceful.

Upstairs couch was replaced August 2019 and new king and queen matresses December 18, 2019. Home was completly remodeled with new furniture in 2021

Good Location & Space... But could be better...
The location was nice, the view was great, and there was plenty of space for our family of four plus pet. However, I agree with other reviewers that it should be kept cleaner/neater - especially when you pay a cleaning fee which I think they owners must just pocket. The house wasn't super dirty, however attention to detail was lacking. Coffee had leftover grounds, cutting board had dried food on it, shower walls weren't clean, there was a dirty towel left on the counter when we got there. Also, they could use knives that actually cut. I felt like the desk area was messy w/ all the ads/magazines that should be sorted and kept in the drawer (which was also not neat). I just think with all the options out there they could put a little more effort into the cleaning and organization of the home. Would I stay there again, yes - but it would not be my first choice.

My sincere apology to you for the condition of the home. We have paid for a cleaning service and obviously it was not left in the condition we hope to aspire to. In the future if anyone runs across this issue please let us know as we will have someone come address it immediately. We have been proud of the fact that most of our postings have commented on how clean we have the home. Thank you for your suggestions and will make some adjustments. It is important to us that whoever books our home has a enjoyable experience. In 2021 we renovated with new bedding, furniture, game room and heating/cooling system.

Gorgeous views- serene winter experience!
Serene and picturesque experience. Very large and extremely comfortable bed was hard to leave in the morning with the view one would awaken to. Downsides include lack of dishwasher, washer and dryer and a standard oven and standard television-you'll have to get your news from the Internet or newspaper. Since we were interested in the serenity, the views and the proximity to downtown CDA we were given five-star treatment. As an aside, there is a very tight spiral staircase that would be problematic for anyone with mobility issues or significant knee arthritis. Both of my dogs were able to master that staircase and we appreciate the landlords pet friendly attitude!

Great location and clean
We were in CDA for the Ironman. The house provided the two of us plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the water view through the trees, the sunset in the distance. The location was quiet and private, the home was clean. The king bed was comfortable. Attention to detail is our only complaint. There were no towel racks in the bathroom, it was a mismatch of kitchen wares, and the decor had no theme. We kind of felt like we were in a college frat house getaway home: lots of stuff but no theme or attention to details as a vacation rental property. The only exceptions to cleanliness were the dirty grill and sappy, dusty outdoor seats. The beautiful picture windows could have used a washing, too. As mentioned by another reviewer, the bedroom is missing a window screen. We paid quite a bit for our stay and with a minimum of 3 nights, a washer and dryer would be nice. We appreciated the access to the water when we asked Judy. Definitely not suitable for a family with little children or anyone with knee issues as stairs, both the internal spiral staircase and outside stairs, make it a bit challenging when lugging things in and out. The privacy and remoteness was great. Access to the Centennial Trail for a cycle or walk is a great benefit.

We have completely renovated the home with updated furniture and assecories in 2021. We added outdoor furniture and a fire pit along with the BBQ. We have new housekeeping that pays attention to the details.

Nice location, but that was about it
We booked this house at the last minute and paid the day we were to arrive. I emailed the owner after paying for check-in information (address, how to get in, ect), and never heard from her. About 30 minutes prior to our arrival, my wife found her number on the internet and was able to get in touch with her and get the needed information. Her communication with us was non-existent other than asking for money. The location of the house was nice and by the lake. The house itself was not that clean, even though there was a one hundred and five dollar cleaning fee. The accommodations one would expect from a high dollar nightly charge (one hundred and seventy five a night) were not there, meaning no stove, no dishwasher, no garbage disposal, no cable or satellite TV, or laundry. But if I was to read the description of the house carefully before renting, none of that was mentioned in the ad. Now that I have stayed there, I would have gone elsewhere in CDA and paid a little more for more benefits. Last thing is there is a lot of deferred maintenance needed in the house. Light bulbs were burnt out, door were off hinges, drawers were broken, ect.

Home has been completely renovated in 2021 with new furniture, bedding and has attention to the details mentioned. The home has housekeeping that does an excellent job of keeping things clean and tidy.
