When we arrived the sheets were stained with blood. It was very disgusting. Not only that but in order to check in they had to place a $50 hold on my credit card. The very next day I check my credit card activity they had placed a $116 hold without my permission. I called them and they told me it was a “System error”…

I loved the fact that the hotel is right on the campus of OSU. I would love if they had parking for free since the hotel is not on the cheaper side.

Staying at The Blackwell is a great option for any families /parents visiting students enrolled at Ohio State. It’s also walking distance to High Street, making coffee / dining options easy. The on-site restaurant is good for lunch, dinner, late night snacks / drinks. Two downsides -breakfast is overpriced for the quantity & options. The coffee is also pretty weak. Better to walk to the Starbucks or Dunkin Doughnuts on High Street. -the valet service is pretty bad. The people don’t pay attention to the details. They’ll sit at the valet desk inside the front doors and not help people until someone walks up to them, even when cars are waiting outside. It also takes forever to get your car. There’s no sense of urgency, which is very frustrating.

It was our first visit to Ohio State, and I loved that we could stay right on campus and walk around the campus as well as to our tour. There were plenty of food options for all meals in walking distance. The staff kindly helped with valet parking and holding onto our luggage so that we could stay past checkout.

We came to tour OSU. Location for accessing the tours was fantastic as well as walkable for meals. 15 min from the airport. Perfection!

Wonderful, new, clean and upscale property on the OSU campus, adjacent to the Fisher School of Business. Staff is friendly and efficient, room is clean. Highly recommended.
