Bad experience if you expect 5*. Ok for 3*/4*
It's a hotel rated as 5*, but the experience was of a 4* close to 3*. Small room with a fan instead of a A/C. 5*?? The bed wasn't confortable at all, and really worst than other 4* hotel that we've been in denmark. And the room was tiny. The bathroom with a curtain in the shower, and the windows with blinds broken in the borders, instead of curtains. Nothing to make coffee or hot water in the room and no minibar. The breakfast was just ok, and wasn't better than other 4* hotel. Just only two different breads, and have to ask to toast it and take long. I think the orange juice was natural but mixed. I don't really understand how can be rated as 5*.

Castillo con excelentes instalaciones y vistas!
Muy bonito hotel fuera de la ciudad, habitaciones excelentes! Terraza viendo el bosque y campo de golf, espectacular.

Worst hotel experience ever
Really bad experience. No bell boy. The room was not clean and is tiny. Very hot and no a/c. It is over an hour by train aeay from Copenhaguen and of course they dont reimburse anything even if my star was for three days. The hotel was so bad I changed hotel and had to pay this one regardless.

Dejligt sted, fine værelser - kunne godt ha brugt en guider tour så man kunne se mulighed for restaurant, spa og bar. Meget lækker morgenmadsbuffet og god betjening.

Et royalt ophold i rolige, smukke og antikke omgivelser. Unikt. Flotte dekorationer og indretning. Fra annexet er der adgang til hovedbygningen, spa og morgenmadsrestaurant via underjordisk løngang. Behagelige senge, stille, fredeligt og afslappende. Naturområde.

Udmærket
Som altid, Kokkedal slot er et besøg værd. Vi fik et værelse i et af annekserne, værelset var pænt og rent - badekåber, sæber og tøfler var tilrådighed. Morgenmad var super god med et rimeligt udvalg.

Positve things are the location and castle area as well as quietness. Otherwise, for rhe pri e and 4 star it had several issues: small room and lack of functionality in design of bathroom. No cofee ir tea availble in room. Extra payment for late checkout, extra payment on pool/spa by hour. In pool area time went by as they were lacking towels and the entry key lockers did not work. Spa area is ok with pool and sauna but basic. It was suposed to have warer availble but it was not refilled nor there were glasses. There was no possibility to eat in evening (closest restaurant would be 3 km away. Breakfast ok but extra payment on any other than filter coffee or on omelette or pancakes.

Ingen balance mellem pris og kvalitet.
Flotte omgivelser og flot hovedbygning. Superior værelse??? Et trangt værelse med dårligt dagslys fra kun et kvistvindue og med skråvæg. Manglende belysning om aftenen. En skrivebordsstol kun til smalhoftede. Badeværelse på ca. 4 m2 og dårligt fungerende . Konklusion: Ikke balance mellem pris og kvalitet.

The limited staff were friendly and willing but there weren’t enough of them. The decor in our room was dark & gloomy, the bathroom was tiny and dark. The basin was too low and the faded brass taps etc made it look v old fashioned. I thought we were to stay in the main building but we were in a barrack like building adjacent to it surrounded by unfinished pathways that looked shabby. The driveway is v untidy with stables and horsey bits and pieces littered about. The main building has flaking paint and missing plasterwork. There are unfinished flower beds and weeds all over the driveway. Outside tables need cleaning and ashtrays need emptying. The location is excellent as Louisiana Gallery is just up the road, but I wish we’d stayed in the city. All in all we felt the whole place could be magnificent with a revamp. I’d be happy to help to cheer it all up. None of the above is the fault of the v nice staff but it was a depressing atmosphere and such a disappointment. Good luck in the future, I hope improvements can be made.
