Wonderful lodge with a stunning view. Comfortable and homey while still upscale. Beautiful hardwood floors, patios… the couple who have recently taken over are friendly, available and accommodating. The drive to get there might be daunting but don’t be daunted! Also very very reasonable $. Highly recommended for a getaway!

Absolutely incredible stay at the Bent Mountain Lodge! This spot is a hidden gem - the property has incredible views, beautiful lodging & gracious hosts. We were visiting Roanoke for the marathon and brought our 2 dogs. When we got to the race, we found out our pups had been barking (anxious to be in a new place alone). Getting ready to come back and nix the race, the owners let us know that they got them from our room & would watch them until we returned. Can’t thank Ginger & David enough for going above & beyond, making us feel right at home. Also Belgian waffles made by Ginger the next morning:) Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

I booked the stay at Bent Mountain as the last leg of a road trip, and I REALLY wish I had booked more than one night. The location and views are amazing, the lodge is beautiful, and Ginger and David are the best hosts. I'll definitely book another stay if I find myself near the area. I'll give them 11 out of 10!

The views were downright amazing! The room was cutely decorated. Loved the extra throws to snuggle in while watching tv in the sitting area. We booked this room because of the large windows to enjoy the Mountain View’s from our room. David and Ginger made us feel very welcomed. The continental breakfast was massive, everything was fresh, and consisted of everything you could imagine for a continental breakfast. We hope to return soon.

My husband and I with our college-age son from Radford University had a wonderful stay in this magical place. Much of our very positive experience came from the friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts, David and Ginger. The views are wonderful from their lodge, and the central room with all its wood is exquisite. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and very calming to stay there. We hope to go there again in the future.

David and Ginger were excellent hosts and are doing a fantastic job with this lodge . Do make sure you come prepared with snacks because the location is in somewhat of a food desert (40 minutes to grocery and restaurants). Highly recommended for a weekend getaway!

I stayed, accompanied by my three children, at Bent Mountain Lodge in December of 2023. Every single thing about our stay exceeded my expectations. The Lodge has new owners, David and Ginger, since early November of ’23 and they are friendly and accommodating and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. The mattresses were high quality and comfortable and we all slept so well. The bedding was impeccably clean and the bathroom was comfortable and very spacious. I loved how the bathroom in Guest Room 2 was in the foyer of the room, meaning you could turn on the bathroom light without disturbing someone still sleeping in the main part of the room. The breakfast was AH-MAZING (again, ignore earlier reviews about the quality of the breakfast that are prior to 11/1/23 when there was a different ownership). There was plenty of fresh fruit, coffees, teas, muffins, toast, cereals, hard-boiled eggs, English Muffins, and even more. I left the very best part for last – the views are spectacular, from many angles. They’re so beautiful you will want to spend as much time as you can outdoors, going for a nice hike, exploring the property, or eating and chatting at one of the dozens of outdoor seating options. This charming, beautiful, picturesque location would be amazing for girls’ weekends, church retreats, book club outings, weddings, family reunions, and so much more. We cannot wait to go back!

We were very pleased with this stay. The Lodge is under new ownership and just reopened on 11/1/23. The new innkeepers David and Ginger are very welcoming, gracious people. Any reviews prior to Nov 2023 are not reflective of the current owners. We chose room 8 (can't recall its name) and it was a very large and bright room detached from the main house...with large windows on both sides. We had a king bed and a comfy love seat. We also had a great front porch that was a great place to perch to see the 360 degree, tiered mountain views of the beautiful Blue Ridge. There was a nice (shared) kitchen with laundry facilities right next door which we were welcomed to use. The Innkeepers hosted a nice continental (plus) breakfast with coffee/tea/beverages, hot/cold cereals, muffins, pastries, HB eggs, fruits, and Jimmy Dean biscuits in the gorgeous, spacious kitchen also overlooking the aforementioned amazing tiered Blue Ridge mountain views. We will likely be frequent visitors as we have family in the area. Thanks so much for sharing your character-filled lodge and great hospitality!

Jesse was a big help. We were lost but he talked us in. What a wonderful place to visit. I sustained a nasty fall (totally my fault) but Jesse came to the rescue with paper towels and helped me back to my room, holding me the entire way. So sorry to hear that he is moving on and new owners will be taking over, I just hope that they instill the grace that Jesse had. Just may paln a trip there in the spring to enoy the gardens.

Worth the drive - incredible views of Virginia
A trip back in time, this lodge beautiful and full of Southern charm. Jessie, the owner, personally welcomed us upon our arrival and had coffee ready when we awoke. We enjoyed nearly 200 degree views of the mountains and green pastures that went on for miles and miles.

Relaxing and Peaceful
This B&B is in a perfect location if you are traveling down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Large outdoor grounds with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery. Very gracious hosts. Clean rooms and plenty of food set out for the continental breakfast. We were very happy with our choice to stay here.

This is a large, beautifully sited property. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We visited for Homecoming Weekend at Virginia Tech. The drive from Blacksburg to Copper Hill is 55 minutes on VERY WINDING ROADS. It was a dangerous drive. We will not be doing that again.

Lovely scenery but not a B&B
I would not rate this as a bed and breakfast. There is minimal continental breakfast with serve yourself. Mold in the jelly in the fridge. Fruit was old. Scenery was very nice and room was great. Lovely home. Just not a B&B.

Sometime guest leave items in guest fridge, and our jelly is in individual sealed containers. Fresh fruit is hard to maintain this time of year. My wife watches these items very closely. In any case we like for folks to point out issues when they encountered. We have servd a continental breakfast for 18 years with rare complaints, usually because folks expect cooked breakfast. Beautiful setting
We were only there for one night, and we had to leave early in the morning, so we couldnt wait for breakfast. The place was very nice and very well kept up. The owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome. It is off the beaten path, so your in the country.

Nice quite location. Room were large and well laid out. Problem following GPS to get to site. Signs letting you know you are going in the right direction may help. Owners were friendly and helpful, Would probably stay there again if in the area.

I was traveling south from New England to Florida and figured I would try a nights stay out of the ordinary. I made the right decision because Bent Mt Lodge was simply lovely. I arrived late but Jesse was great checking me in, then took me to a patio with the most gorgeous view of the nearly full moon. And the sunrise (and coffee), phenomenal. My next trip will definitely be for more than one night.

Lovely experience at Bent Mountain Lodge!
Great lodge. Sweet couple that owns it. They were very nice and everything was so clean. The views were beautiful and lovely flowers everywhere. It was a great weekend getaway for us!

Motorcyclist, call to check on road conditions
When I first arrived, I was less than happy. I did speak with the owner about my issues and the owner explained that they had flooding rains just prior to my arrival. This explained the poor road conditions (the road was washed out) and the musty smell in the room. The inn is also a pet friendly establishment and that explained the flea issue. The owner sincerely promised to resolve the issues moving forward. I should have spoken with them first! Jesse did thank me for letting him now about my experience. I must say the inn is spectacular! It is a gorgeous facility and beautiful setting. The horses grazing in the yard outside my room was the icing on top of my stay. I find it difficult to imagine a better location to spend the night (or week). In closing, if you are taking a motorcycle up to the inn, call first and check on the road conditions. Otherwise, enjoy!
