“Although the room was a little bit tatty , it was very clean . The bed was super comfortable, I slept really well. The staff were lovely. We ate at Cromwells Tap house and the food was delicious. I would definitely stay here again .”

“Lovely hotel, lovely staff, floors were a bit creaky as wobbly but it's a old building to be expected! Nice simple room with everything you need. Was very very warm though but there was a fan provided which made it a bit better! Nice little touches with the show gels and things! Cleaning in the bathroom.was a bit poor, hairs and bit left around but sometimes it happens! Breakfast was fab too! All in all was a lovely stay and would definitely come back! ”

Yes, the WiFi did not work from the room & even down stairs one had to jump through hoops for only momentary connection. “Our first visit here and definitely won’t be the last. It is an amazing place - friendly helpful staff, a beautiful clean room and the decor is outstanding. The chef is a credit to the hotel and the grounds are just waiting to be explored. We have travelled extensively both in the UK and abroad and can honestly say it is the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Nothing more to say except to highly recommend it. ”

“We arrived at 6pm and waited 10 minutes to check in. The room we reserved was unavailable. We drove for 20 minutes on single track to arrived from Shrewsbury. The breakfast was none existent. The room was clean and tidy but the lighting was terrible. I think 6.0 rate is suitable.”

"Cuando llegue al hotel me dicen que no tienen habitaciones disponibles y que ha sido un error de ustedes . Tuve que buscar otro hotel y por supuesto no con hoteles.com que no sé si volveré a utilizar . Dos cancelaciones el mismo día y encima ustedes ya me han cobrado la habitación . "
