Expect limited creature comforts.
Great old lodge. If you're coming in by train or like the east side of GNP, then this is one of your few options. The beds were not comfortable. That's my largest complaint. Others were 1) no elevators so humping bags up to third floor was a challenge. 2) bathroom small. Expect a small sink area with limited place to lay out toiletries/makeup. Positives: 1) great lounge areas with lots of seating to gaze out at the mountains both indoor and out on verandas, etc. 2) food was good with coffee shop option and restaurant. 3) fun little 9 hole golf course and little chip and putt course, too. Rental clubs available. 4) Big fireplace (now gas) in main lodge lobby with lots of seating.

Beautiful property. Gotta know what you’re getting into. Some showers are small and any conversation in your room will be heard by your neighbors. Some rooms are a few flights of stairs with your luggage. Still a very 5 star experience. Go sit on a balcony for sunset and feel like a king

We wish there had been a coffee pot in the room, the one person barista at the coffee shop was overworked and there was a line at all times during the day for people to get their first cup of coffee. Dinner options were good -the breakfast buffet was TOO expensive. Beautiful lodge, esp. loved the historic tour by Graham, all staff members were personable and willing to share their backgrounds when asked. Thank you

The facility takes you back to a hotel condition in the 40’s. We did have Internet access, but no television. The hotel is rustic and that is a theme for this facility. Our room opened onto a porch with rockers adding to a very restful stay.

The front desk woman was not personable at all neither were the breakfast servers! The bathroom was tiny!!! The woman working at the coffee bar was amazing and super friendly. The location and the facility itself is stunning!

Too expensive for what it is
Too expensive for what it is. Rooms could use a good paint job. Bathrooms need to be updated-no place to put toiletries. The room my husband and I stayed in probably should be a single room with a queen bed. Didn’t use closet but it barely had room to open door as one of beds very close to it. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Nice rustic lodge. Upgrade would be a fly swather n the room…many flies around. Sad to see breakfast not included in the price of the hotel as it’s rather expensive place to stay. Tables empty in dining room yet had to wait one hour to get seated. Beautiful country

A step back in time.. comfortable bed, pillows were not good, no coffee pot in room and you could hear people speaking in the room next door. Internet was good, no TV. Public areas are wonderful with room to enjoy the beauty of the structure.

First the good things-- the staff for the most part was very friendly and helpful, the lobby area and common areas are fantastic, they do provide live entertainment a couple times of the week in the lobby area, the bed were comfortable, and of course the surroundings. Now for the "opportunities for improvements": 1. The outside trim definitely is in desperate need of a paint job-- the paint was chipping off and was faded. 2. The rooms need updating badly-- our bathroom was 6 ft x 6 ft. contained a 3 ft by 3 ft shower stall and sink that may have been the original sink from when the place was built in 1913-- it was maybe 12x12 inches. The floors were worn wood needing a sanding and revarnishing, the and the walls were in need of painting. 3. This is a big one-- there are no elevators! We knew that coming in but presumed that the front desk would be more accommodating to older people who would be put on the first floor-- not to be! We were place on the third floor. I would presume that this is probably one of the biggest complaints about this place. 4. Billing-- when we checked in we were quoted a cost of $259 per night including all taxes. This had been written on our check paperwork by a younger attendant with orange hair and glasses (did not get her name or a copy of the paper unfortunately), When we checked out, they had no such copy of this and when I asked them where it was, they did not know! While they did comp a little bit, it was not enough cover the cost.

Fun and interesting Lodge with a great lobby! Very close to Two Med entrance to the park and good for East Side adventures. The grounds were not as well taken care of as pictured and dinning room staff was Adequate at best.

Wish it Were Better
This lodge was constructed about 1913, and the main area is gorgeous. It has a grand piano, a restaurant, a large fireplace, gift shops, and plenty of aging sofas and chairs for lounging. Our room was on the second floor, and there is no elevator. There also is no air conditioning. We were unable to locate a bellhop, so we carried our ice chests and luggage upstairs ourselves. We are older, so this was hard for us. The room was sparsely furnished with 2 beds, a night stand, table, a couple of lamps and a fan. The door to the veranda would not close with the handle; it had to use a sliding bolt. There was a small closet with a rod for hanging items. The walls and wooden floor were dirty. The bathroom required a step up of about 10 inches, and it had a small shower, a sink without a vanity, a toilet, and a mirror. The wifi was essentially useless. I could not text, but I could access Facebook.

A Must Stay At Least Once!
A beautiful old Roosevelt era, national park lodge that really lives up to the hype. There are new amenities like a full service all day coffee shop, wonderful (but pricey) restaurant. The room is a classic no frills parks retro feel. Thankfully, a box fan was included in the room as it does get warm at times with no room AC. But the beds were comfortable and the shower good. It’s worth the stay for the stately lobby and outdoor seating terraces. A real, updated throw back.

This is a historic 110 year old hotel. The central hall is phenomenal with the old growth Douglas for columns, with the bark still on them. The staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of pleasant places to sit, relax, and enjoy the views of the mountains. The flower garden in front were wonderful to walk through in the mornings and evenings. The rooms have comfortable queen beds, w a relatively small bathroom that has been updated from 1913. But the bathroom clearly is based on the old configuration (small sink and smallish shower). Wifi was workable in our room, but we went to the pleasant main hall when we needed bandwidth for something important for work.

Skip this tourist trap
This is a classic tourist trap run by Pursuit who has done a great job keeping the outside of the hotel looking nice, but has spent $0.00 doing anything to keep the insides up to date or even clean. Please skip this hotel, they don’t deserve your money. The bathrooms are tiny, you can’t even properly shower. The beds are absolutely terrible and there is zero sound insulation room to room. You literally here every single thing your neighbors are saying, and doing. The food is B- and more expensive than anything we encountered on the trip. Again, do not come here.

This is a historic property. Public space is impressive. However the rooms are not kept in good condition. Dining room choices are limited and food mediocre. Dining room clearly understaffed.

Beautiful grounds and lobby decor, friendly front desk but rooms needed updating. There were no fridges, only one ice machine on property and very limited dining.

Think twice before staying here it is not ADA compliant. Very difficult to get around the main lodge and parking.

No elevator to any floors, excellent views and easy access to hiking at Two Medicine area of GNP. Minimal wifi. No TV’s in any room. Amazing rainbows.

Pretty, but very dated.
This place is big and grand, and the lobby and grounds are beautiful. But it is all historic and that’s obvious in the rooms. Maybe some have been updated but ours definitely was not. Every floor board creaked, so did the bed, and the bathroom was ridiculously small. It’s also a good 45 minutes from the main Glacier entrance on the east side.
