“While traveling with our 15 year old son we stayed the weekend in this lovely cottage on the property of Victor an Carina just south of Edinburgh. The hosts are showed wonderful hospitality and the cottage is comfortably set up to sleep three (or four). Great attention to details of all we needed for a comfortable stay including notes for outings in the area and for getting to Edinburgh by bus or train. We definitely want to return to this beautiful cottage with wonderful hosts.”

“Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. ”

“Advertised as a luxury stay, which it looked like, online. I asked if I could book 5 days but only the full 7-day week was available, which stretched the budget. Check-in seamless. However, a few things suggested less care than expected: notably, the house manual instructions were for an entirely different hob (which took a couple of days to resolve and resulted in not being able to fulfill/cook for my anniversary obligations...). “We were a group aged nine to eighty. There was a lot on offer to cater for us all. There were nine of us and the place was big enough for us to spread out and enjoy varying activities. A bus stop outside going into Edinburgh was a bonus. Would highly recommend it. Does Scotland proud!”

“Beautiful property with great location walking distance to Gullane facilities including golf courses, beach walks, restaurants, coffee shop and supermarkets. House was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view onto village green and the kitchen area was spacious too. All in all highly recommend.”

“We loved the location (we were aware of the parking potentially being problematic, but parked outside house all stay) and being on a hill didn’t cause us any problems. It was worth it for the view alone! The property has retained its charm whilst having all mod cons and everything we needed. The host was so accessible, but we didn’t need anything.
