Dear guest, We are sorry about the situation you are facing with your partner testing positive. We do understand this must be a frustrating time for you. As we have already communicated to you via email, that we have already processed a partial refund of your upgrade fee. Just to refresh your memory, you asked to change you dates of stay with us last minute before you arrived at the hotel and we promptly obliged without any change fees, you also stayed with us until 8pm of the day you left us. Our staff worked tirelessly for hours to help find a quarantine center for you and even spoke to your insurance company to make sure your next stay will be processed smoothly all the while offering you consoling words like "don't worry" and even gave a complimentary dinner before you left. It is truly unfortunate that efforts on our part to make you and your partner feel comfortable was not evident to you and we apologize for that. We sincerely hope your partner feels better and you are able to return home soon. Thank you.

As we've had to work with the existing architecture of more than a 200 year old colonial building, all our rooms have different sizes and quirks. Courtyard rooms are priced the lowest as they are on the ground floor and has a view of the courtyard. We are delighted you enjoyed the breakfast. As we do cater do a wide variety of clientele from all over the world, we try to offer a plentiful breakfast to satisfy everyone. We hope you enjoyed your stay overall and will come back to visit us again.

Dear Guest, Thank you for the review. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the location and the ocean views it provided. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the power outage. As it was explained to you by the staff on duty, it was a city wide outage that lasted for about an hour. The sound of the waves and the wind are unfortunately unavoidable as you mentioned due to the proximity of the property to the coastline and when you have the windows open. Most of our guests find this a desirable quality of the hotel. We hope you enjoyed the breakfast the following day and hope your overall stay was good.

Thank you for your reiview and your kind remaks about the breakfast and service. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the room you booked. As advertised, it is a small room located in one of the towers. However we do have to disagree on some of your comments. The room size is 11 square meters. The bed is a standard size double bed with an approximate width of 135cm. We do not advertise this bed as a queen size. Perhaps you were expecting a queen size bed. The room overall is smaller in size as metioned on our website and we recommend it for couples who wouldn't mind sharing a small space or for a single traveler. Unfortunately the booking site you used may not have included a description of the room. But it does include upto 10 pictures and the size for you to get a idea of the room. The A/C unit is new and gets serviced often. Unfortunately you had not complained the room is not cooling enough during your stay where we could have looked into it. We have found that some travleres do not use the cooling setting on the A/C. We believe the room is priced fairly for a hard to find Sea View room in the very popular town of Galle Fort,Sri Lanka.
