When we got up to our room, we noticed that the shade for the window was off, and rolled up in the corner of the room. The valance had been broken, and would not hold the shade. Hence the parking lot light shined into our room the entire night, making the sleeping conditions pretty awful.
When I informed the front desk attendant who had checked us in of the situation, she couldn’t have cared less. For $200 a night at a Hilton property, I would have expected better room conditions or to have been moved to a room with a working shade.
