Fun cute and special,
The cabin is just what we wanted. Very cute! New experience floating in the lake. We enjoyed a relaxing morning sipping coffee on the front porch. Coinvent to everywhere. The downtown area is fun place to walk and shop. Of course Wenzels is within walking distance which is a great plus!

Unusual stay
This was the first time we've stayed in one of these floating cabins. The other reviews are correct about the septic smell. There was not a grill to be used as stated. There was a mini fridge that had not been listed in the amenities. There was plenty of wildlife and fishing. Which is why we came. Plenty of towels and wash clothes with a very comfortable bed. Be aware the water gets VERY hot very fast! The table seats were not comfortable at all! The seating portions were exceptionally narrow with a straight back. The board walks to the cabin were a little sketchy in places. The cabin is neighbored by multiple other cabins that seem abandoned. We just wanted alone time and to fish... so this searved the purpose.

Nice gett away.
Over all stay was as expected. Room was clean, very cousey and comfortable. Enjoy the floating aspect of the cabin. Fish wasn't bitting. Only issue was with the septic tank and a little smell. Contact owner and he promptly sent someone to take care of it. My wife and I enjoyed the stay and will be back

Relaxing!
We booked this floating cabin for a night to attend a wedding! We were able to check in early to enjoy a little extra time on the back porch and enjoy the views since we would basically only be sleeping there if we didn’t arrive early. Owner was very easy to communicate with and very polite! They recently painted the inside and changed out the bedding. The bed was super comfortable. We did run into the septic tank odor issue as stated in other reviews and their description so I would definitely be prepared for that. It was almost too much but we bought a few things to help make the cabin smell better. This isn’t for you if you aren’t okay with a few bugs getting in due to being on the water! Like they have stated, it’s not a hotel experience, but it’s nice for sitting out on the back porch and being right on the water.

Its not a 5 star hotel. Its a floating cabin. Did have septic smell but bought RV toilet treatment and that helped. We will definitely stay again!! Very relaxing.

Weekend Get Away
The property was perfect for what we needed. The views from the cabin during sunrise and sunset were absolutely amazing from unobstructed views. My husband also wanted to get some fishing in and he was not disappointed. He had a great catch of catfish. I am glad that I didn't let the reviews in reference to the cabin having an odor from the sewage deter me from reserving the cabin as we did not have this issue during our stay. We will definitely be back again. I would recommend that the cobb webs on the outside sitting area in the front and rear be cleared out or area be hosed down, which is the only reason for the 3 star cleanliness rating. Also we really had no reason to communicate with property management which was also reason for 3 star rating. Cabin was as listed and had everything we needed that we didn't bring ourselves.

Father’s Day Trip
This cabin is amazing!!! Great views, great location, very clean, everything inside is kept up and working. Check in was easy, the owner was nice and quick answering any questions I had and delivering the check in info. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend!

SMELLS LIKE SEWER
The cabin smelled God awful from sewage. Toilet didn't work properly because of it. We arrived Fri . night and slept in the awful smell. Next morning the Mexican helper pumped it out and within the hour the toilet wasn't right and smell was back. We had to leave a day early. With talking to the locals we were told it's been this way for years. Vrbo shouldn't have it on their site. I called and told them that. DO NO RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. Our worst vacation ever.

When guests have problems, I'm available to see the problems are corrected. I do answer concerns, but you do need to reach out to me and let me know. If the experience was as bad as you say, I'm confused as to why you didn't reach out to me for help. It is a fishing cabin and not a hotel. Problems can occur, but with the proper communication the majority of my guests have a very enjoyable experience.

Floating cabin
First thing we walked into was an overwhelming odor from sewer. Place could've been cleaned better. Also we were not given the NUMBER of the cabin and had to go around trying several others before we found the correct one. The lock box was on the back of cabin. We have always used the ramp there on the property to launch our boat and were not informed that it is no longer useable. Had to go on the opposite side of the lake to find a ramp. The owner seems to be a very nice person but i feel he needs to check his property before renting out. Also had to plunge the toilet several times.

First of all, the cabin number is clearly in the property description, along with the details that it is the last cabin on the left. I've never encountered any guests that had a problem finding it. If it was a problem I could have cleared it up if you hade simply called me. Also any problem with the tank could have been taken care of by maintenance. The boat launch you're referring to is used daily by many people, including the boat rental company on the property. If you weren't happy, you could have taken it up with me instead of resorting to miss informing people. A big part of your problem might be that you have trouble understanding simple instructions.

I'm very sorry about that. When we have that problem I send maintenance to re-pump the holding tank. I wasn't aware it was giving you trouble.

Won’t be returning
After reading listing and reviews I knew to be prepared for camping/rustic experience. But overall it was worse than we anticipated for. Plus side was location, views, hot water, comfy bed. But it looks like no one has stayed in it in a while because it’s was disgusting in some areas. I spilled something and cleaned it up, the floor was completely black. Cobwebs taking over with tons of dirt and dust. It needs a DEEP clean before anyone else stays there. Cabin has potential though

Never again
Terrible- smelled moldy, multiple fans to try to reduce odor, toilet did not flush properly, curtains were old and tattered. Needs a complete renovation and a better cleaning service.

Thank you for the review. Although I do have it sprayed monthly, spiders can be a problem on the water. I will bring that to the attention of my exterminator.

Fun experience
Nice, campy interesting experience. Be sure to wear proper shoes and bring a flash light if you’re checking in after dark. It is a marina setting, so you have to be careful. We enjoyed the stay and the cabin, it was really cute. No issues! Would do it again!

The cabin was in a great location! End of the dock, nothing in front of it but lake. The bed was comfy and everything matched the description. The owner was helpful and overall it was a great experience. I will say that the bathroom situation wasn’t super great overall - there is a smell from the toilet, the shower had a rusted out caddy in it, and they didn’t provide hand soap. That is my only complaint though!

I'm not sure what you were expecting. There's plenty of current accurate pictures. I think maybe you should have paid closer attention before booking. As far as communication, my number was given to you, you chose nor to call or to read the welcome instructions in your email.

Terrible and disgusting
The description warned of the holding tank smell and actually compared it to camping, but this is not a holding tank issues, it's a maintenance and cleaning issue. We actually only stayed 1 night due to the very overwhelming gagging smell. I hope we don't get some sort of illness. The room was disgustingly dirty and not maintained. I would stay far, far away from this place!

Excellent Host
Mr. Yancey was a excellent host. He made sure our stay was enjoyable. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay. We loved fishing everyday off the back patio and just relaxing on the water.

The cabin was nice for our trip to Gunthersville for the H1 races. Small but unique & perfect for 2. Nice fishing from the back porch of the cabin. The Hampton up the hill serves a hot breakfast & you have access to their pool too. We’d stay there again - thank you, Steve

Dissatisfied, disappointed!
Well when I got to the property I couldn't get into my cabin the combination for the key didn't work I had to go to the nearby hotel to get in. And the worst of it was the smell of raw sewage and nobody came the whole time I was their hook up the septic tank for draining. The smell was terrible 😫!!

Disappointed
Great location. But the cabin smelled like sewer and couldn't stay in it other then to try to sleep. But the smell was so bad we couldn't. And I was charged 05/06/2022 and got charged again last night. Now my account is in overdraft, and I am not happy.
